  • I know many of the men in the video. The guy rapping who I know as (Rep), and my dear Muslim brother (Hakim who was the speaker at 2:39) are dear friends of mine. I worked closely with them in Perry's version of the Scard Sraight program. I stand as a testement to the power of redemption and self rehbilitation, as do those two , as well as a handful of others that I had the pleasure of Knowing during my 11 year stay in Prison. My heart is with those who seek change behind the fence.

  • @gprince garcia isn't in prison YET!

  • Wow! That's my first love at 3:56-i hope he'll teach these young men and let them see that life is no joke...his life changed and I hope he'll get a2nd chance to live his life the way God intended:)

  • That's my brother in 3:57 rapping he has come a long way with trying to get his life together. I pray that these young men learned a lot not only from my brother but from everyone that wants to make a difference. Young men please take that as a lesson learn and never say that can't happen to you because it can if you follow the wrong path. To my brother REP I'm proud of you! Still going hard with or without the mic!

  • I think that this was a blessing for inmates and the players...God knows those men really needed to have their spirits lifted! Clemson really showed a lot of love!!!

  • Damn, my dude killed it at 4:00...

  • If this keeps our men from going the way of say, someone like Garcia, lol then this is great. Really though a visit to a correctional facility can go a long way for a young man. It might be just that little thing that some point down the road keeps him from doing something stupid. He may look back and say man if I do this I might wind up over there in Perry or whatever prison is around. Kudos to Clemson and I hope they have their minds and bodies ready for the game this weekend.

  • @SCGoodOlBoy Garcia isn't in prison, get your facts straight.

  • @gprince21 Never said Garcia was in prison lol. Read my comment I just said keep our young men from heading his direction. Being a bum, pot smoking, drunk who can't follow school or team rules and generally screw up his life when he had the perfect opportunity to become something great. The guy had talent and blew it.

  • @SCGoodOlBoy Fine, but speak about someone from your own team for an example instead of taking cheap shot at USC. Someone like DeAndre Mcdaniel, who beat a girl half to death and then threw her down a flight of stairs (something MUCH worse than Garcia ever did), and yet was STILL allowed to remain on the team.

  • Wow! To take the team there is unreal. If just one life is impacted in a positive way, it's so worth it! That was a gutsy thing to do. I got chills at times watching that!

  • Isn't there something the boys could actively participate in rather than visiting offenders in prison?

  • @JMFisher9

Pay attention to from 6:00 on and you'll figure it out.

  • @solidorange08 Oh I get it, I was just asking if there was more they could do for the "community" part of the community service. There are so many charities that could benefit from their help other than this scared straight type deal.

  • I applaud this effort and video.
