the V10 5.2 fsi is a detuned version of the Gallardo's engine. and (audi s6 & audi s8) the v10 5.2 fsi 0-100 3,9 sec. 525 horsepower.

the V8 4.2 fsi is a audi engine with 420 horsepower 0-100 4,6 sec. (r tronic 4,4) topspeed about 300 kmh.

the fastest model is the R8 GT (560 horsepower) 3,6 !! sec 0-100 topspeed about 320 kmh.

the gallardo & R8 shares about 15% of their parts.

the V10 5.2 is based on the gallardo's engine but it's not 100% the same , audi did several changes for audi cars.

its goodbye gallardo because the r8 is on a superior everyday use level than the gallardo without worrying about coughing up 8 grand for a new clutch every 8k miles, the r8 is more nimble & corners better , it only shares 15% of its chassis with the gallardo everything else is brand new, they dont have the same suspension or gearbox set up either. lambo has a limited dealer network so if ur car has trouble u have to likely ship it out of town/state/province to get it repaired , thats a nuisance

@Blueball0120 yes it does weigh more about 200lbs i think , cant remember, but audi's engineering makes it so it doesnt feel like theres much of a difference and the lap and drag times are close , also the difference in price between the two is about 50k-60k u.s , idk bout you , but saving 60 grand and having a supercar i can park anywhere without worrying about someone putting there signature in my paintwork is too good to turn down , plus the weight is gonna really matter on a track
