i hope on they're new album which they're working on is more like wasting the dawn, i even tink bump n grind is amazing, sleazy blues riffs are the one! but yeah blessed be and paris kills are two of my 69 eyes faves aswell, saying tht i love all they're albums... but they're older stuff is truely EPIC!
I loved their old, sleazy style. Now Jyrki'n the boys're nothing more than pretentious poseurs. Why does everything that's been cool once "emo-fied", just 'cause it's trendy? I know, they went to making gothrock years before the actual trend, but they were good even then. Only their new "goth'n'roll" (what a fuckin' disgrace) blows, in my opinion. But that's just that - an opinion. Don't mean to argue.
@CalamityCain i totally argree man but u have to give them some space for bringing something new than the same thing overr but since they hooked up with bam they sucked ever since
Yeah, I know what you mean. I just don't think, they'll be able to produce something that'll be this kickass again. Well, at least not for ME, that ist ;)
It's not like I hate them for their change. Problem is, that I saw 'em live few years back and even then Jyrki was so damn cocky. They didn't even give the audience an encore. I can listen to the old stuff and still love 'em for what they used to do ;)
@CalamityCain serious Jyrki is a douche now? and if i was inna band well performing i will give encores becuase i know how some people have it in there lives so i would give it my best kinda rammstienish performance LOL and yea their older stuff esp like blessed be and paris kills are my favorite. they look terrible too fattish only jussi looks kool but thats my boy nobody could replace him. any band bam touches gets lame after awhile
@CalamityCain "years before the actual trend" - sorry but this is WAY off base - their only albums that were particularly Gothic were Blessed Be and Paris Kills - and those came out in the 2000's - Gothic rock started back in the late 70's as post-punk (i.e. proto-goth) with Bauhaus, Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and later on, Post-Punk's state side equivalent Deathrock (Christian Death, Kommunity FK, Flesheaters etc.) - I will say that I agree that their last two albums were garbage.
Yeah, mate, you're right of course. I was just thinking my personal experience with that kind of music, growing up in southern Germany, without thinking "global". Gothic and related genres and sub-genre were very easily overlooked by the youth, even though the German fanbase is - and was - more than solid. Sorry for being too subjective ;)
The best ages of the 69 eyes started with "wasting the dawn", went through "blessed be" and finally ended with "paris kills". Their best albums without any doubt. Devils is, in my opinion, a bad album and angels even worse. Don´t get mad if you don´t agree, is just my opinion.
@CyJuDaR agreed. thumbs up. Unfortunately the title track was the only particularly good track on Wasting the Dawn. Most of the other tracks on their sound just like their old stuff.
Thats an 1997. album called "Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams" . And that was theyr last Glam/Zlease Rock album. 1st one was 1992 Bump'N'Grind. 99 came out "Wasting The Dawn" with GOTH stuff... Why they changed style was prolly to make more money and get more fans?
no it was, because jyrki wanted to change their style more into that goth stuff. maybe you know, that he always drew those goth-like comics. he was always fascinated about that. so i think that's the reason. ^^
Hmm...I don't think they did it for the money...anyway...saw them live in 1996..wooow,those were the days..hey,You've missed 1995 Savage Garden...MASTERPIECE..100% sleaze!!!
Your reasoning there makes no sense to me as most glam rock bands (suh as motely crue or ZZ Top) are much much much more popular than any gothic rock band out there. If they had stayed glam rock they wuld actually prolly be more popular than they r now! Idk why they changed but i for one am glad they did!!!
good job. those really simple movie maker programs are harder to work then you'd think. they get really snippy when you're trying to mix music with the images even though they're painfully simple as far features..anyway loing story short, good job!!!
Yeah its a nice picture, very touching. They're lovers beyond death. I got it from Google images, just type "eternal embrace" and i think you'll find it. Thank you for the comment :)
and i do think bam inter veins alot
