You've got to be at least 18 to become Cabin Crew, but if you get into a travel company first, you'll be more likely to get the job. Most posts are filled by people who know people, so it's good to get inside. When I'm 16, I'm going to apply for a Thomson Apprenticeship and do that for two years. And you can't choose your destinations

@mattyyy1995 - Sadly I never got it. We did a reach test of 6ft 7 in and I could just about reach but couldnt turn my hand around the bar, so sadly for safety reasons I couldnt go on. Which was dissapointing as I got all my currency and safety questions right.

But no worries, I will always try again, Im only just eighteen so I think I can grow another inch :) so fingers crossed I will eventually fly <3 it was experience. thanks for asking :)

I started with airtours, continued with mytravel but when it went to thomas cook I noticed the diffrence and so moved to a rival but being cabin crew with airtours/mytravel was the best and i think that in my opion we were the best charter cabin crew ever!!!!!!!!!! so long mytravel, god help thomas cook cause I flew with them last september, only cause that particular flight suited my family, and they were TERRIBLE, the crew had not got a clue, I wanted to jump up and do their job for them

Wouldnt like to fly again with the crew that took my wife and myself to varadero in december 2010, was a 767 instead of an airbus we were like sardines for 11 hours, treated like second class citizens ( due to having no 1st class seats all the "specials" were sat spread out on the first 6 rows and sucked up to by the creepy male chief steward who virtually ignored the rest of the passengers for the whole flight!) Two off duty Cooks male emloyees on the flight took up six seats between them!
