Is all Olympia recorded as video? It is the best concert in my eyes and it would be great to have this. I adore Nimegue, but ths would be a real treat!

@Etheline Mon Vieux Lucien, Non je ne regrette rien, La Foule and Milord are the only saved matrial on videotape from this Olympia/The second-premiere ( 2 January 61) it was filmed by Pathé-Actualités, but it seems that was broadcasted by the French Tv too.

J'ai ententendu il y a 25 ans la version radio de "36 chandelles" où Edith chantait Comme Moi et La Foule , je vois dans ta liste un 36 Chandelles de février 58,je pense qu'il s'agit du même

Merci en tous cas pour tous ces renseignements!!!! Concernant l'interview faite par la ZDF pour l'émission " Pariser Journal" d'Octobre 1962, cela n'a jamais été diffusé par les télévisions françaises. J'ai eu ce document en Allemagne où j'ai vécu de nombreuses années

Absolument! Cette première a été -semble-t-il- diffusée à la Télévision française mais il ne reste à ce jour que 4 chansons provenant des archives Pathé: Mon Vieux Lucien, Non,je ne regrette rien, la Foule et Milord.

It it a story about a guy helping a friend who wants to kill himself because a love affair. Edith is making jokes until she realize that her friend has a gun in his hand. So at the end, she asks him to follow her. It is very dramatic but beautiful.

a reponse a elaeudanla1, oui en effet lucien existe vraiment, pour l'anecdocte elle a écrit cette chanson pour remonter le moral a lucien qui été déprimé a cause d'une rupture amoureurse, ce qui a merveilleusement marcher ^^

Petite précision importante: "MON VIEUX LUCIEN" n'a pas été écrite par Edith Piaf mais par Michel RIVGAUCHE, l'auteur de 17 chansons pour Piaf (dont "La Foule"). Dans l'entourage de Piaf il y avait à cette époque Lucien Vaimbert qui était son chiropracteur qui l'a remise sur pied après l'accident de voiture causé par Georges Moustaki. Je pense que c'est pour ça que Michel Rivgauche qui apprécié beaucoup Lucien Vaimbert a choisi ce prénom pour ce texte.
