I went to 3 seperate job interviews & when they told me I got the job & what the starting salary was, I was appalled to find it was 50% to 60% less than I was making. I'm talking accounting. I feel if they ask all of my credentials ( which they expect to be outstanding) than I feel only right to ask is, what is the starting. Which, by the way is my last answer. I got the job that I wanted with the salary I was looking for. So for me, asking starting salary is fare during the interview
