  • This was a really beautiful moment. So much to learn from this. Community, sisterhood, the joy of mothering, the beauty. I am in awe of this video. Surprised this has so little views.

  • soo beautiful !

the little one was hungry ..its all so natural ,the way he rests on her back ...awwwww

  • sweet....is this what the white americans would say a video from the 'hood'....

  • They are every bit as tender to their babies as human mums. How evil it is that humans kill them for meat.

  • The babies don't seem to cry much, do they? Monkey babies seem to make a lot of noise.

  • So beautiful....just amazing. Thank you for sharing.

  • Fabulous....so kind of you to share with us viewers. Thank you.

  • this is the most amazing video i ve ever seen !i wish i could hold the little gorilla he moves exactly like a human baby!!!I I have a 5 months old son and this vid really put a smile o my face :) Save the gorillas!

  • she was walking upright!!!

  • where can we see more video's of these two mothers and babies?

  • In all the times I have seen Akiba & Atinbe I have yet to see Akiba let Atinbe nurse. Poor baby Atinbe she looks thin.... when was she born?

  • Thak you for the video. It is remarkable that some human mothers I´ve seem are much less caring than this gorilla.

  • Ian - this is fantastic, thanks for sending it. Wonderful, caring mothers.....and the gestures speak for itself.

    Many Blessings

    Elke

  • They both look wonderful mothers, Balinga and Atinbi are so beautiful.

Wishing them all the best for the future, and for the future of all primates threatened by the bushmeat trade

  • Hi Ian It is an amazing sequence. I really enjoyed it. Thanks a lot for sending the link.

The first mum you see is called Brighter. Her baby is a male called Balinga.

The second mum is Akiba with her female baby Atinbi.

    All the best,

    Sofie
