Als daar een normaal schroefdraad op zit (zoals voor een fotocamera bijvoorbeeld) dan kun je hem er gewoon opdraaien.

Voorbeeld, statief voor mijn nikon D40 camera past ook gewoon op deze JVC camera :)

for mostly video recording but also for photography use?

For simple use i can recommend this camera. I'm going to use it on my motorbike and for video's at home or events etc. Photography is not that good on the camera, but that isn't the reason I bought it. For this price it makes good video's, but there are many other pocket camera's.
