On the subject of Hphones...wtf?? I listened to this 1st with my travel (cheap and doesnt matter if they get trashed) headphones (Sony MDR-XD00 £15) then with my mates skullcandy "Hesh" (£50) and mine sound far nicer, sure the candy's have that scene look but if you go for looks over sound do you really like music???

Burial has little to do with dubstep really, he just happened to emerge at the same time as the early dubstep producers. Really he is continuing with the UK garage sound of the late 90's and early 00's. Big up Burial

This is the pure and true dub, the new tracks made, which are also called dubstep, is from dudes like Skrillex.. However, as i think everyone will agree on, there's a huge difference in these two music genres. There's is no reason for any person to be raging on anyone, because everyone has their tastes. I personally like this chilly and sorrowful genre, other's may be looking for the speedy and more party friendly genre. i think that we should respect other peoples choices from both sides

Burial is one of the best electronic music producers (and also i have listened to Aphex Twin and Boards of canada) and is my favorite (and the only I respect) Dubstep producer

Why wouldn't this be dubstep? It has less of the dub vibe than most dubstep, but it's dark, bassy, spacy, and it sounds like a two-step beat to me. Sure it does have more in common with certain types of garage, but one of the greatest things about dubstep is that it can be anything. I say this is what dubstep would've sounded like if it came around sooner :)

I sort of agree with Calabus but for different reasons. Dubstep is a progression of dub reggae and 2-step. Apart from a bit of vintage spring reverb, atmospherics and tempo theres a massive difference between this and old school dubstep. Having said that dubstep means something completely different now. On another note why the fuck is it suddenly cool to hate Skrillex? Everyone was bumming the shit out of him when they thought they were the only ones who knew about him.
