Before, I thought Sims 3 would be better after a couple of expansion packs. But now after Ambitions, World Adventures, and upcoming Showtime, I highly doubt it will be better.
people lots of people think sims 2 is better that sims 3 well i think sims 2 is better than sims 3 because no one has to wait for expansion but sims 3 is better as it is going improves everything about sims 2 but its not got all of its expansions
The Sims 3 is great just because your allowed to explore areas without loading screens if The Sims 2 had the same feature (which I believe at one point they were thinking of doing that) it would've been a lot better than The Sims 3. Sims 2 still holds up IMO.
@Scene68 yeah but that's why sims 3 loads very slowly and the graphic doesn't really fit with like their motive meter and stuff its kinda to bright and it really stands too much out.

@nicrocks123 I can understand why you would like it better because you don't need a really good computer just to play this computer. But overall, Sims 3 is better. It wouldn't make sense if Sims 2 is better than Sims 3 as far preference. Sims 2 has cats and dogs and Sims 3 pets has cats, dogs, horses, and unicorns. See what I mean? Sims 3 is a great improvement. The only thing I not a fan of is that they didn't really change most of the actions of the Sims. But I can live with it.

@PivotCommando The sims 3 has now got 4, soon to be 5 Ep's and it is NO WAY near as good as The Sims 2 when it had 5 Ep's... i do like the Sims 3, but no way near as much as The Sims 2, The Sims 3 just doesn't have the same feel about it... the excitement has died down...

@NickiandJackycoo Well, in Sims 2, you didnt even see the building they worked at. Also Sims 3 got rid of the loading screens and has a big open world, along with Story Progression, so you dont have to worry about every family in town :D
this was the third expansion pack i got and i love it so much. i ordered seasons a couple days ago so i'm REALLY excited. oh and by the way i'm thinking about getting open for business but i'm not sure because people say it's kinda hard would anyone reccomend it?
If sims 3 kept the same graphics of the sims 2 but maybe changed them a bit the game would epic, and ofcourse if they had less rabbit holes, swimmable oceans , weather , unis , gah just think how epic a uni would be on sims 3 and with weather! weather in an open ended neighbourhood would be so fun they just need to add more stuff for seasons since they've got half of it in the base game. I would like skiing and seasonal drinks for mixology :)
Sims 3 is all about rabbit holes and fat faces to me, i like the game yes its just it isn't as fun as the sims 2 is. Maybe that will change i would buy sims 3 seasons if they made it but for now i'll stick to the sims 2. (I do have sims 3 its ok but not as good) there are good sims to download of mts2 and tools so your sims don't have to be so fat but there is alot of things missing at the momment for me i want weather and unis and LESS RABBIT HOLES!
guys you are looking at the sims 2 and 3 and comapre them you cant do that beacuse:
1.sims 2 is a full game with many EP and SP
sims 3 is just starting they have yet realesed their 4th ep give them time pets coming in 6 months!!! and then there will be another ep and weather give the sims 3 some time cause in 2-3 years when the sims 3 will be complete you will see how foolish it was to hate on it and love the sims 2 more

Wish I still had my PC, its games like this I miss. I got sims 3 for Xbox and it ended up lagging, freezeing and then it broke the xbox. Plus the Karma powers were so annoying, my house got burned because of the fireball power.

If you buy the Sims 2, then get one of the expansion packs, does that mean you start a fresh and don't get to do any of the features that are in the Sims 2 base game?

@FreerideTechDeckGirl no its an expansion, meaning it just expands the game - it wont erase anything it will just add new obects/interactions and sometimes gameplay things (ie influence, hobbies) but dont worry you're origional sims will be fine xox

bon voyage - pretty fun, got a bit boring after a while
open for business - never really loved it - great if you want to create ur own business but it wasnt for me
uni - LOVELOVELOVELOVE loooove :) fun if you love the "college experience" but it does take work
freetime - loved the new objects but the whole hobbies thing wasnt for me
@keriluvable I found University and Open for Business the best for your sims life and business, they gain knowledge and important skills in Uni & then they can start there own businesses with OFB. Bon Voyage & Freetime and the more fun for your sim packs, Freetime is great, you can gain hobbies & skills and create much more unique sims. Bon Voyage is really good, lots of adventures & new stuff.
I don't get it. I moved my sim into my dorm that I built myself (I am sure that I used the right doors, when my sim claimed them, her pic appeared in the square space of the doors). It's been a day and she is still the only one living there, no other sims coming in to claim the dorm. I don't get it. Should I control all the NPCs and then call them or something? What do I do so that they come and live in the dorms I built? I don't want my Sim all lonely with 9 other dorm rooms xD
@mshtevnina Oh yeah, I realised after building it you have to write in a cheat "changelotzoning dorm" and then it works. Thank you for reminding me xD

@ThatFatScreamer it is not really epic like the sims 2 but if you want the real sims experience (meaning playing the sims all day without noticing 8 hours already passed) i would recommend the sims 2.

If you buy the Sims 2, then get one of the expansion packs, does that mean you start a fresh and don't get to do any of the features that are in the Sims 2 base game?
also what if you have multiple expansion packs? :-)

@FreerideTechDeckGirl no its an expansion, meaning it just expands the game - it wont erase anything it will just add new obects/interactions and sometimes gameplay things (ie influence, hobbies) but dont worry you're origional sims will be fine xox

@keriluvable these are just my opinions, its hard to say what you would get more out of since i don't know you - watch all the gameplays and see whats fun 4 you :)
bon voyage - pretty fun, got a bit boring after a while
open for business - never really loved it - great if you want to create ur own business but it wasnt for me
uni - LOVELOVELOVELOVE loooove :) fun if you love the "college experience" but it does take work
freetime - loved the new objects but the whole hobbies thing wasnt for me

@keriluvable I found University and Open for Business the best for your sims life and business, they gain knowledge and important skills in Uni & then they can start there own businesses with OFB. Bon Voyage & Freetime and the more fun for your sim packs, Freetime is great, you can gain hobbies & skills and create much more unique sims. Bon Voyage is really good, lots of adventures & new stuff.

I don't get it. I moved my sim into my dorm that I built myself (I am sure that I used the right doors, when my sim claimed them, her pic appeared in the square space of the doors). It's been a day and she is still the only one living there, no other sims coming in to claim the dorm. I don't get it. Should I control all the NPCs and then call them or something? What do I do so that they come and live in the dorms I built? I don't want my Sim all lonely with 9 other dorm rooms xD

1. The sims are ugly and fat
2. You cant see what they are doiing when they shop and go to fancy resturants and work.
3. They dont let you make your own clothes when you download online!!
3 Reasons why sims 3 is good
1. They dont need to go to bathroom that much and arnt that hungry and tired
2. you cna go to a beach
3. you can visit your neighbors!!!

@CandyLoveHearts25 Ya its called the sims 2 double deluxe i would get it at target but I think you can get it at walmart too, anyone, and it comes with nightlife and celebration stuff, and for 20 dollars more you can get sims 2 pets and that comes with sims 2 family stuff and mansion and garden stuff its cool only 20 dollars, 20 DOLLARS!
