There are lovely performances of this on here. One that I have that I never knew existed until recently is a recording that Solomon made - it is VERY beautiful, like spun gold, rather simple and incredibly beautiful.

On the other hand, I know plenty of pianists doing the Berceuse who can easily put to sleep babies and adults as well.
