Unbelievable! This is the first time I actually heard Joe Frazier call Muhammad Ali by his religious and legal name. Mad respect Joe. Top 10 of all time.
It is very satisfying to see these great boxers obviously showing real affection for each other. Especially impressive was George Foreman. A real gentleman.
@bluesrocker1991 Well watching this puts any fighter today to shame, these guys didnt have conditions and sport science like boxers have today and again they would kill them
Goodness is there such a thing as the perfect interview? Loved every minute of it. I do feel that Joanna Lumley's inquisitive feminine charm set the tone for such a well-spirited and gracious interview.
and please what does the poem go? i only didnt understand "but... is so cheap? dont call for a while" could someone tell me? hard to understand for me cause my english is not the best.
George, you're no slouch buddy. He belongs w/ those other two. How great it is it to see Ali and Frazier laughing together? This is amazing, have never seen this, thanks for uploading.
If I could've just sat at a table over some good homely food and scotch or gin, with these 3 guys & a couple of other greats, I would die a very happy man. My friggin Idols and teachers.
Great Champions....their Respect for one another is moral and genuine compared to modern days sportsmen and women. Theirs are by mouth only and meaningless ...!
just watched the first Ali-Liston fight and it looks like starting in the third round Ali would hold the back of the neck when Liston got inside, it's also the round Ali started beating the hell out of him and making Liston look OLD and SLOOOOOOW.
Wow, thanks for uploading this, I've never seen this before! Joe Frazier always seemed like a genuinely nice bloke to me, and Foreman too. Ali, well what can you say about him? Always a glint in his eye, great to see him and Frazier together as always, it's obvious they liked each other.
Former heavyweight world champion Joe Frazier was arrested in February 2004 after police responded to a 911 domestic violence call from his North Philadelphia home. When police arrived a woman, the mother of Frazier's son, answered the door. She told the police that Frazier had hit her and there were injuries to her face to back up the claim. The charges were later dropped, after the woman refused to testify against Frazier.
Too bad we never got to see Foreman fight Tyson, Holyfield exploited Tyson's weekness with pressure, I can see Foreman backing up againts him. Damn i wish this fight happened.
@BrandonPatch True Holyfield was pretty dirty, but so was Ali when he beat Foreman and Ali gets the credit. I think Foreman whould have given Tyson fits pushing him and keeping him on the outside. As good as Tyson was in his prime I think Foreman maybe could have been the first to truly test Tyson's mental fortitude, which we now know was a little shaky. I am not predicting a Foreman win, just saying it would have been entertaining to see.
@belhuqi I think most of Alis fights were pretty dirty, the way he used to clinch when a boxer got inside him or holding the back of their necks.I cant remember how many times he was warned for that but did`nt seem to get points deducted.George would have given Tyson some problems for sure, would have been entertaining to see..
@i was lucky to find this show i found it on a British news channel belive it or not . i think it was to honor Jo Frazer they boardcast it when he died.
@alanmeires no.. we don´t know that, tyson would not beat george foreman, styles make fights and foreman was horrible for tyson, bigger, stronger, harder puncher, longer reach and better chin, plus mentally stronger.
@MrBrunothedog He would have knocked come back foreman out for sure, and prime for prime tyson was definitely as strong and tough as foreman if not tougher, he was faster, threw sharper punches and combinations that would have hurt more than george's becuase he threw them so well, he was also a masterful boxer unlike foreman.
@gregm20072007 contrary to popular belief comeback foreman was bigger and actually hit harder than when he was in his prime. And he was never knocked down in his comeback. Holyfield even said that george hit a lot harder than tyson. Tyson was an incredibly explosive puncher but i seriously doubt he would be able to knock out george who was stronger and had a better chin than evander. Tyson's best chance would have been a points UD by using his speed.
@gregm20072007 get out of here, George would have murdered Tyson, fanboys like you think otherwise. But when you look at the two different styles and look how easy it was for George to deal with guys who had a style similar to Mike's style.. you realize. Mike may have intimidated all those tomato cans and a shot larry holmes but George wouldn't have feared him at all, being the bigger, stronger more powerful man.
@combatesdeboxeo tyson was powerfull hes speed was as qiuck as Ali he head movement was never seen before in the heavy weight division he had one of the best left hooks in histroy and upper cuts ..... tyson is only secon to Ail period ..for me mate he would have fucked forman up ......but still i love boxing and all these fighters period
@gregm20072007 Holyfield beat Tyson twice. However he lost his title to Michael Moorer. That set up the fight of the century. Foreman -vs- Moore who came into the fight 35-0. 29 by knockout. Foreman Knocked him out in the 10th round to become the new heavyweight Champion! Yes even as an old man Foreman could have beaten Tyson. Think if Tyson fought Foreman in his prime. Foreman would have ate him for lunch.
@checkerslane In this case it did. It counted as a loss. Look at his record. The fact he purposely tried to end it in that way, he was given the loss. It's the same as the "No Más" fight.
