  • You guys know that you can go to autozone and buy premade LED strips for like ... 5 bucks right?

  • Whoever made these videos of how to make a LED Carlight Strips, are very sad. Tehrs no sound, no instruction on how to do it, and no voice. Very Poor to watch.

  • good work !!

  • Nice but this is probably more expensive then buying a 3$ 194 led off of SuperBrightLeds

  • @Word4329 : nope i think mine is cheaper + it gave me pleasure of playing around with L.E.D. on own.

    its D.I.Y. project only.

it has 48 L.E.D. still the total cost is under $3

  • Where did you get the leds from? I've never seen leds so cheap unless you buy them in 1000s.

  • from local electronics parts shop.

its less than 3 dollars for 100 pcs in my country.

  • What country and do they have a website? radioshack charges a $1+ for a decent led.

  • @Word4329

I am from India, i think you can find a 100 of so in few dollars from any reliable seller in EBAY.

the shop i purchase from is a tiny local shop they don't have a website or ordering system other than their counter, sorry but iam sure ebay is full of the L.E.D stuff, especially the ebay motor section.

  • Alright, thanks.

  • @Word4329

wow, thats what i call a fast reply.

sorry i took so many days to login to youtube on desktop, my blackberry doesn't lets me reply PM from it.

  • Ah, well I just got home and checked my mail. Lol, and this time i did it because my dad, who's sitting ~10'/2m away sent me an email for some reason.

  • @Word4329 by the way, i got 50 pretty bright LEDs on ebay for around $6. they also came with resistors that allow each one to run on 12V by itself.

  • @pepene93 One time seller or dealer? If the latter, please pm me a link if possible.

  • @Word4329 wow, i never saw your message until now, sorry. it was a dealer. pm me if youre still interested

  • @pepene93 did they work?

  • @CODxFUNxMAN well, if i remember correctly, one of the LEDs had a bent lead from shipping, but they all lit up.

  • kindly tell how u made its wiring? i mean car battry is of 12V and u can only put 3 LED with a resister in series to allow them to glow.... how do u did wiring for a reasonable number of lights in series on 12V?

  • I am now using a 220ohm resistor after each 3 L.E.D.'s

you need to connect 3 L.E.D. in series, that is, +ve of 1st L.E.D. to -ve of 2nd L.E.D. then +ve of 2nd L.E.D. to -ve or 3rd L.E.D. now the resistor at +ve of 3rd L.E.D. then one end of resistor to +ve of car power, and -ve from 1st L.E.D to ground of car, Make sure to use a Fuse to avoid burning your car wiring in case of error.

better consult a car electric mechanic before you try on own.

  • Thanks a lot... i had done..... But i used 300ohms after each 3rd LED and its working fine because even 200ohms is not sastaining...... i think white spot LED take more voltage then other.... although its working fine np thanks

  • can this lights cover the hole stage? how many led lights this you use?

  • why would you make this shit when you can buy it from china off ebay

  • to actually learn somethin, and take pride in your own work?

  • SO he wouldnt be dumb as you are

  • don't work all led!!!!!!!! work 6/10.

You don't think to led's polarity...but good idea to use a ruler to make a underdash cal light ;)
