    Best part

  • 3 people don't have a feeling deep inside

  • First happening-like, or flashmob-like concert in history!!!

  • That was so cool...

  • video quality sucks

  • LOL the black guy at the back = the fifth beatle

  • @wickeddark1234 Billy Preston... a great keyboardist and artist in his own write. If the band stuck together, it would have been a possibility I bet!

  • @wickeddark1234 It's Billy Preston...

  • paul is the best singer in my opinion

  • @karsaurlong for sure! golden slumbers

  • you people are Cretans and don't deserve to even LOOK at these musicians

  • you people are cretans and don't deserve to even LOOK at these musicians fu

  • Ahh como amo esta rolaa ♥

  • Paul had INCREDIBLE vocals. I love in the middle when he's just going all out

  • "everybody has a wet dream" haha I love that lyric, definatly very edgy for the time, and here's John just singing it outloud to the unsuspecting stuffy british passersby lol awesome!

  • the best beatles songs were always the collaborations. not the solo efforts like across the universe or the long and winding road. i go for songs like iv'e got a feeling, get back, come together, in my life. strawberry fields and of course, A DAY IN THE LIFE.

  • what did the chick in the red dress say i can't understand her

  • @SeanCSpain She says, 'Yeah, I think it's great, because, I mean, it livens up the office hours.'

  • This is one of the Beatles most underated songs.

  • @lob287 totally! the overlapping singing at the end is truly brilliant, and I think this is one of the beatles hardest rocking songs, I cant listen to it enough!

  • @lob287 totally! the overlapping singing at the end is truly brilliant, and I think this is one of the beatles hardest rocking songs, I cant listen to it enough!

  • 3 people didn't have a wet dream.

  • That old lady looks like she's a b*tch...

  • I've got a feeling that we are being short changed by most of today's so called 'musicians'.

  • who the f#ck is justin beaber???

  • @juanpsalasi IDK but "it" looks like a girl

  • 3 people didn't have a wet dream.

  • Gee, the black eye peas couldn't have come up with a better song title then to rip it off the beatles?

  • 42 years ago, the best last concert. Beatles forever.

  • Happy 41st Anniversary of the rooftop

  • Beetles rule

  • "I thin' 'e bea'le' a su vry nass bnana an' oo sae oo ca cont'n 'em oo cant breeth 'em I sa Ah, ah wra 'eir own 'en ge'a, a sta, ya naower?"

  • I think the Beatles are crafty, I said hey aye you cant beet them, i said aye they're they're all out on their own. They've got a star on their own. And they uh they in my opinion i think that ah a lovely a lovely crowd. They've got good good quality. They sing well, and uh well what else can i say than they're all good people.

    -Old man

    (i think)

  • @halolamer WOW!........I THINK YOU NAILED. ARE YOU THE SON OR DAUGHTER OF THE OLD LADY IN AIRPLANE THATS SPEAKS JIVE?

  • @G0K3001 lol newp. just a guy thats got way too much time on his hands

  • haha all the old people are pissed. Except the first guy. Don't really know where he stands on the Beatles.

  • Man, I always get asked "if you cam go back in time, where would you go and why" and I always answer this moment in time. There is no other time I would visit. Like this if you would go to that time

  • What the fuck did that guy say?

  • Comment removed

  • Paul at his peak. He had to mellow out after this.

  • i love john's part

  • Hmm, what's wrong with this picture... oh yeah, no screaming girls! What's up with THAT? :P I bet they were relieved, though. No girls threatening to blow their eardrums out with screams... :D

  • They are Perfection <3

  • was this their last album?? they led the way..

  • @jonnightrain No after this they made Abbey road with a awesome last song ''the end''. :)

    Rock on!

  • 3 people thought that this were the black eyed peas

  • @wachawachamen Not funny dude.

  • @wachawachamen 3 people need to jump off the rooftop.

  • @wachawachamen

    Please. No one compares.

  • @wachawachamen Still only 3 dislikes :)

  • That old guy has to be Ozzy Osbourne's father. Anybody here speak mumblish?

  • @melinda218 i think he said tht there rly talented and good ppl at one point in there lol

  • @melinda218 lol thats the brittish "scouse"

  • @melinda218 excellent use of the word 'mumblish' there

  • I like how George smiles at John during George's brief guitar solo at 2:42. Maybe they weren't so mad at each other after all? :)

  • Great song. Helps me relax when I'm stressed, especially the parts where John sings,

"Everybody had a hard year, everybody had a good time..."

Thank you so much for this video.

  • 2:07 Everybody had a wet dream! :P

  • was that black guy playing keyboard?

  • It's Billy Preston

  • @MrAlepedroza ITS BILLY PRESTON

  • random black guy @00:59

  • @DubbSpray09 Thats not a random black guy thats Billy Preston he's the keyboardist for the beatless he was often called the fifth beatle so yeah not a random black guy:D

  • @xX1337xxSniperXx Damn my bad but only 1 person out of fifty probably know that.

  • seems Nobody has a QUALITY video of this... the other was interlaced out... this one full of Block Noise!

  • this music is such a breeze, always fresh and wild

    excellent rooftop performance!

  • cada ves que los escucho se me pone la piel de gallina .gracias a dios que me dio la dicha de poder escucharlos y lamento no haber nacido antes para poder verlos

  • they could put on a damn good show couldnt they

  • oh god i wish i was there...

  • 1:22 haa haa! "doesn't make any sense!" she says

  • Lennon "alone", was a fantastic singer, writer and musician. McCartney "alone", was a fantastic singer, writer musician. You could put many great musicians side by side, but you wouldn't get that unexplainable magic that these two conjured up, when together.

  • @lolife52

Are you sure The Beatles were made up of only 2 people?

  • @Randomguy3514

Sorry it took me so long to reply. haven't looked at comments for ages. Are you sure I mentioned they were made up of only 2 people? How really successful were all four of them without Lennon and McCartney writing and performing together?

  • you gotta give it to them. they were talented and had depth. I like the songs they recorded in their final years as you can hear and along with the footage such as this rooftop concert how they "matured". Then they break up at their peak which further adds to their mystique.

  • I heard some guys my age (17) talking and one of them said, "The Beatles stole The Black Eyed Peas song". Dickheads...

  • @JamleSalisbury FAIL.

  • @JamleSalisbury

omg, that makes me soo angry..!

I would've punched them in the face!

  • @JamleSalisbury hahaha. what a tool. tell em John Lennon never pissed his pants on stage.

  • I wrote this song back in '63.

  • WHA T IS THE NAME of the jeans that george is wearing...those green geans

  • @magicichigo i want to know what kind of coat!

  • best live show!:)

  • all bands should play on rooftops in citys it sounds like fun

  • good bands not any bands that dont even have instruments

  • haha lol that guy who said "this type of music is alright in its place, but i think its a bit of an imposition to actually disrupt al the business in this area" what a square!

  • Paul is arguably the greatest musician of the 20th century. He had one of the most versatile voices, creative minds for writing and consistency throughout the 1960s, 70s and 80s.

Nevermind that he wrote what are considered two of the greatest songs of all time, heard everywhere (Yesterday and Hey Jude), he set the standard for bass playing, as well as the 60s/70s archetype of the well-rounded band member, playing bass ("Paperback"), guitar (think "Blackbird"), and voice (all).

  • @ScottMacFie Don't forget "Let it be"!! its one of the greatest songs!

  • Soft and smooth, screaming like hell; Paul still can do that all. Amazing.

  • to bad yoko srewed it all up.

  • @bfdtcb

Yoko wasnt the reason the Beatles broke up. They were all constantly fighting and they all knew that they were headed for a break up. Even look up interviews of every beatle, they all say that Yoko wasnt the reason they broke up, contrary to popular belief.

  • @Rush1013 Everytime a person says it's Yoko's fault, they're saying that John had bad judgement. Sure, they all had their flaws, but they could have every woman in the world. John saw something in Yoko.

  • @MrFriendliest

exactally, John didnt care about looks or what other people thought, and i respect him greatly for that.

  • @Rush1013 im not disagreeing with wat u say, but of course they didnt blame yoko. how bad would it look if they all said "oh yeah and yoko ruined everything"

  • This is one of the greatest events in rock history. MrDestroyer37 are you an idiot?

  • they must feel really dumb now!

  • @MrDestroyer37 youre a retard

  • Paul looked MUCH BETTER with the beard.

  • This sounds exactly like the original record!!! Remarkable!

  • @stratguy1688 -- It was used for the album with some tweaking from Phil Spector.

  • those people are idiots ... walking by and what? disrupting??? THEIR BEATLES!!

  • Its profound that their songs sound as fresh today as they did when they were first recorded. I guess it adds to why some didn't understand them back then because they were way before there time.

  • if could also be on a time travel I would be going to this time. my God this is one of the best videos i have ever seen

  • It's amazing to think that just four guys can go up to a rooftop...play some songs...and it becomes legendary in rock history. The Beatles are truly the best band to ever exist.

  • Still amazing.

  • I love this song and this version, but I wish those people weren't speaking. I want only music, not short interviews...

  • If I was able to time travel a single time, that's the time and palce I'd go!

  • I cringe every time I read "jonas brothers" and "the beatles" in one sentence.

  • where did this take place

  • @twinkieeater50 - abbey road studios

  • @cpotta343434 apple studios*

  • j'adore cette chanson , une de mes favorites , l'intro particulièrement et quand Lennon reprend le chant pour calmer le jeu . c'est comment dire époustouflant .

  • good song

  • this song was actually two unfinsished songs put together

  • ouch...the quality sucks.....

    but who cares????

  • all english ppl should be hella proud of having the greatest band ever, even those old farts...

  • I wonder how many of those business people who were bitching then look back now and go, "Uh, that was the last concert of the biggest musical act in history, and I was there."

  • @thimoneus Probably all that are still alive although some might not admit it. You know the "older generation". hahaha

  • That guy at the beginning looks like a real old timer to be a Beatles fan, but hey that's what's so great. They're not for the young or the old or the middle aged or for men or for women. They're for everyone.

  • I agree though I must confess, I understand very little of what he actually says!

  • Doesnt the woman at 1:25 look like the chicken in CHICKEN RUN?

  • the word "crackin" is a slang word in Ireland for good fun.

  • How totally cool would that be...walking down town, and suddenly the most incredible musicians in the world start singing from the rooftop over your head...totally spontaneously, for free?!!! Just for the joy of it.

  • If they did that today, they would be sued.

  • @loveyoufolks If they did that today, people would be crying out of joy, and wondering how the fuck John and George came back

  • AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA that was hillarious man =D but seriously if they would have done that today i would be crying out of joy because come on...ITS THE BEATLES!!!

  • from 0:07 to 0:16, I can't understand a word that bloke says, lol! anybody gotta guess?

I always loved the dual harmony vocals on this one.

  • What a great performance showing them (especially McCartney) on top form

    @MitchMac84

I think he says "I think the Beatles are cracking actually, you can't beat them, they're all out on their own, they're a star in their own, and they, uh, well in my opinion, I think they're, uh, a lovely crowd, they've got good quality, they sing well, and uh, what else can I say? They're real good people."

  • McCartney is fucking electric in this song. His voice demonstrates a lot of power.

  • @FireFactory445 yes...fuck,ing electric oh yeah!!!!!

  • A lot of the negative feeling probably stems from what was going on between the Beatles at the time and the fact that it has been referred to as an unhappy album. I think the great songs are largely overlooked because of this.

  • y do people hate let it be so much? its a great album!

  • i know they got great songs like get back dont let me down i got a feeling dig a pony those all are great songs

  • @reshmiya it is great i just think that people think it's overrated

  • This song makes me wonder what I could do with my voice if I were just like "Screw it, I will yell as loudly as I want for the sake of PURE ROCK." I love McCartney here.

  • I always found it funny how it started in a basement musical hall, and ended on the rooftop of their company.

  • @Mirokuofnite

I thought about that the other night when playing I Saw Her Standing There in The Beatles: Rock Band. I mean, my god. The Beatles have been broken up for FORTY YEARS. The Ed Sullivan appearance was FORTY FIVE years ago. Sgt. Pepper's was FORTY THREE years ago. Think about that. Most bands are forgotten. The Beatles just came out with a video game over 40 years since their breakup. They are still THAT relevant in the minds and hearts of people everywhere. It's unbelievable.

  • I mean, who in the WORLD could have ever anticipated that? These guys were just kids from Liverpool who were fascinated by American rock and roll music, played in dive bars and places like The Cavern for hours at a time and with little pay. Then they were playing to 50,000 people in Shea Stadium, millions around the world on Ed Sullivan, and becoming the most influential rock and roll group of all time. I mean, if I was a Beatle, I would constantly think, "Wow. How did I get here?!"

    Crazy.

  • I thought Eddie Murphy was the fifth Beatle.?

  • no

    stuart sutcliffe(original guitarist or bassist)

or billy preston with them for the rooftop concert

  • We shall never forget Clarence!

  • es tas loco

  • I could make out "they got good quality, they sing well... what more can I say" :p

  • chido

    de lo mas chido

    great!!!

  • erano avanti a tutti di 10 anni

  • can't understand a word that old man says..... lol

  • Yeah, but you knew he was giving the Beatles their props.

  • If only all those people knew just how lucky they were to be part of that !

  • I was just thinking the same thing.

  • God so true.

  • its funny to think all those people that just walked past them missed a piece of rock history.....

  • @Mattmurr150 this was a great set. and it was just a great live show

  • @Mattmurr150 i bet people that missed this, are still saying fuck me i should have stayed there

  • @Mattmurr150 its like sailing past nelson in the battle of trafalgar lol....i would sell my granny to have seen this.

  • Paul is a monster in singing . It´s incredible how different voices he had, how high the notes he could reach. Besides having writtine the song, by the way, with a little help from Lennon.

  • @Fanquesfair Macca's got a monster voice.... that says it all. I guess I'm a Beatles fan, as I have my favorite Beatle now (I never really did before)

  • @Fanquesfair ya. he was a very talented singer. he could change pitches faster than I have ever seen

  • @Borleys

You mean he could change pitches faster than you have ever HEARD :)

  • @Fanquesfair I think I read somewhere they were actually two different tunes and they just decided to smash 'em together....

  • @Fanquesfair

hmm... he would have been nothing without John.

  • @Fanquesfair Yeah man! always astounded by him in 'oh Darling'

  • @Fanquesfair don't forget ole' johnny. he's not letting it out on this song too much... but he busts out his amazing voice every once in a while.

  • @Fanquesfair don't forget ole' johnny. he's not letting it out on this song too much... but he busts out his amazing voice every once in a while.

  • This song is great.

    The Beatles Rock

  • That guy at 1:66 is right really. It is a bit of an imposition do disturb the important business of a load of dull arseholes with a free Beatles concert.

  • lOVE THIS SONG! GREAT! I MISS JOHN LENNON AND GEORGE HARRISON

  • I really think The Beatles ended on a good note. Really Abbey Road was the last album recorded but really they started to go back to pure rock n roll. I love all their albums but at this moment in their career they were adult musicians. There is such a maturity about the music at this point. I am glad John and Paul started to be friends again before John died. Let It Be and Abbey Road are the most honest albums in rock history. The Beatles Forever

  • Was lucky enough to witness that great moment in history!!!

  • You were eh?

  • Oh!!! My soul...it´s so hard..

  • The woman at 1:22 says "I just can't see that it makes sense" referring to Paul's screaming

  • I think she's referring to them playing in the middle of a work day...
