I've always felt that Bonnie's version was sung to the beat of a metronome. I was familiar with the song when Mike Reid came on the CBS Morning Show about 20 years ago I guess and he sang this/his song. Fortunately I recorded about 5/6 of it (missed the start). It has 5 times the impact that Bonnie's version does (to me). What a talent Mike is.

@kezie666666 He also wrote Old folks and recoreded it with Ronnie Milsap and then Milsap put it out as a single on an album. Sonehow they fell out and neither have it on a re-release of their albums.
