  • Someone posted the correct lyrics of RES hook .It's BEen deleted. How sad!!!

  • I live in a apartment in a apartment and I can see the skyline.. this materialism doesn’t satisfy my heart nor bring me happiness.. but what’s more stunning is listening to GZA’s words and I can see his words come to life as I watch and observe what’s going on around me, and try and decipher the signs before me which are so blatant and in your face! I listen to GZA’s stuff when I want to be in contemplation mood and want to think deeply… ‘Bezels of Wisdom, drop a gem on them’

  • what they truly are inside and conceal that is dangerous.. GZA first album was awesome truly inspirational his second beneath the surface killed it, I couldn’t believe the wise words his spoke on this album very deep. The metaphors and his vocabulary are truly poetic in order to teach us and wake up from the sleep.

  • Its a sad state of affairs to see where rap/hip hop has fallen too.. Wu-Tang music was deep, wise, raw, original and to teach us on what is taking place in the world (eyes wide shut).. deception and cold hearts. The reason why WU-Tang were successful was because they spoke the truth that people don’t want to listen to the harsh realities like philosophers or Dr’s of the heart… everything on the surface is not always what it seems alot of people are fake and wear and hide

  • I have always wondered what the hell RES was singing and what she smoked BEfore she sang itI love that hook though......I've never BElieved the bullisht people paste as lyrics on the internet. But I think yours is the best or the closest.Big ups!!!

  • CHILL FERR DAYZ

  • @stumuch1040 PROPHETIC...

  • Least he tried fuck you all yall bitches bitchin Bitches.Smoke a bowl and chill homo

  • RAP: RIP = 1970 = 2000.

  • @tiagoaliada

the first hiphop was in 1979 , not in 1970

  • @ajaxmatti Rappers Delight was the 1st rap record to go platinum that was 1979 but hip hop exsisted years before that.

  • @THELASTILLWILL

nah the first song that was claimed "hip-hop" was in 1979 by fatback/ king tim III . There were songs that soundes like rapping, but they didnt claim it to be hip hop.

  • @ajaxmatti hip hop is the culture that rap came from, back then rap was at its purest form which is "hip hop". The reference to rappers delight was that it was the first hip hop record to go platinum I didn't say it was the 1st hip hop record. The point being that after it went platinum hip hop became mainstream which was 1979 so it didn't start in 79 it was allready mainstream by that time. 1st line in the song is "I said a hip hop hippie to the hop" so the term "hip hop" was widespread by 79.

  • @THELASTILLWILL

Yeah, hiphop the culture was before then, but the music was in 79.

  • whoever these fags are

you will soon be overcome by

  • @dissinU12 My comment's not at the top.

  • god damn, it's awesome how many people support this good music. Thanks everyone for bringing me the hope that good music still is out there and has a chance to earn the respect and attention it deserves.

  • did anyone else have an eargasm listening to this?

  • @ Bishop Ocelet I thought the lyrics were: scratch underneath the surface, where does your purpose lie? It seems our world is worthless, like were pawns beneath the sky. Change the race by reason, and ashes just the wind, what's left is ..... Breathing, keep ourselves from giving in.

  • DANG THIS IS GETTING ME INTO AN OTHER WORLD

  • @TheVicFishing I feel ya bro

  • GZA is the god of lyrics

  • GZA is the reason rap still has a pulse

  • @xXSUBJECT3Xx No, Because of The WU

  • needa find more tracks like this

  • Wow, lyrical strength to the core. WU!

  • THIS song was da SHIT back THEN,...and it STILL is da SHIT NOW!!!! :D

  • Is there an instrumental by Wu Tang that has a very similar violin/strings section? It kinda sounds Oriental.

  • @AkberMot C.R.E.A.M?

  • @youngskillz08 Not C.R.E.A.M. It might be by someone else, kinda sounds like Ich Weiss (On My Mind) by RZA, but only with instruments.

  • i lovit

  • man this takes me back to damn day drinking presidentes with my nigga rolling and smoking a fat blunt

  • que du vrai..sa va loin

  • wu's beats are untouchable! i heard this cat on the wu tang documentary say that even though they lyrics were superior it was thier beats that drove everyone crazy and rza is as good as it gets in this hip hop game when it comes to producing in a class all by himself a straight beat God sick

  • @darrylgarland1 your super duper gay

  • @darrylgarland1 wellthat commentis fucking ridiculous as likingyour commentdoes not justify me liking GZA and wu tang clan. and we clearly do like GZA and wu tang becausewere on thevideo idiot. stop being pathetic and asking to get a like on a video to make you feel cool. the 13 people who liked your video are too stupid to realize that liking your comment only makes them people look insecure about there knowledge of hip hop. no doubt that after the likes you got you will be doing the same again

  • @2lowkey100 chill the fuck out i just wanted to see if any one cared to like it i know that even if u didnt like it it dont mean that u hate them. after all it a fuckin COMMENT !!!! so chill ur shit

  • Comment removed

  • @darrylgarland the name of the WU TANG shouldnt be used as propaganda to get thumbs up on ur coment. if they like the Wutang than they should hit the like button on the video and not on ur coment.

  • @darrylgarland1 only people that know what real hip hop is, is watching this video.

  • @darrylgarland1 stop thriving on likes and say something meaningful

  • I love this song so much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this song so much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • FUCK EVERYBODY THAT HATES ON THE GZA!!

  • priest dropped the verse of the century!

  • It's an uncanny similarity to what an Armand Van Helden meets Wu produced track would sound like. This is the perfect hip hop tune with a late 90's filtered house sound. Check out Northstar's Nuthin as well if you love this one. One of my alltime faves. Big up Deck, Genius, KP and the rest of the Wu.
