A question please: While backing, and looking behind over shoulder, when we want to check in other directions, do we stop first ? or just slow down ? (before looking over the shoulder to see the back again)

@kguzman11 Not if you don't loose points elsewhere. Also, "extremely slow" is a relative term. Better to show such caution than to go too fast.

I heard that if you bumb the curb once its a automatic fail for the whole test, is that true?

You can have the side mirror down during the backing maneuver, however if you are watching the mirror instead of looking out the back window while you are backing you will lose points for not using best possible vision. Remember, you want to stay close to the curb, but more importantly, you want to watch for traffic coming up behind you or to the left side of the car.

I am going to take my test, for the first time, in two weeks and I am so worried I am going to get someone strict you will dock off points really easily. I wish you could have like a parent in the car as well because I know I will get extremely nervous and make silly mistakes that I have already practiced. Hopefully I am able to remember to breathe and relax lol

You should be turning the steering wheel in the direction you want to go. If you haven’t practiced this, maybe some driving lessons would be a good idea for you.

Thanks for the video! I do have a couple questions though: I was taught to stop before the crosswalk AND before the edge of the new street. This video shows 1 stop at the crosswalk. Do we need two stops or was I misinformed? Also, if there is no crosswalk, would you need to stop in that case? Thanks again.

@arthurvandyke  you need to stop at the edge of the new street if there's no curb. If there's a curb you need to do it before the crosswalk.
