@juicee55 I have to say that i have huge respect for you car and although i have only driven a V6 cls, i still was impressed with the car overall and that V8 in yours is magnificent, BUT, and there is a but, even the the 6.2 V8 has nothing on the AMG M120 V12 engine.
In Qatar we say: 600 horses under the bonnet and a camel on the pedal. Great gasket test, but the horses being prompter than the camel, they will eventually give the last word to this deer, thus warping the head. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Moron... If you just mash the accelerator in sport mode it'll redline through the gears anyway...... When you're driving at 30MPH you don't need to rev a powerful AMG V8 higher than 2000rpm, the car is trying to drive economically and save fuel.... Good luck to your pistons, head and engine in general if you keep sitting on the redline for prolonged periods of time.....
@juicee55 which is it worlds fastest or as you put i your own words " fastest stock and lightly modified cls63" big fuckin difference, there is many cls;s running in the 11s in europe and a few in australia, its just that people dont give a shit..
Too easy: make use of Great European Technology, watered down with mower gas, octane-compensated with an inflated ego.
Go up to 14000rpm, remember your own words: it's a high revving one... It still can be run without the cooling circuit installed, if you don't push it too hard, give it a try!
Because of their good thermodynamic efficacy, these engines are known to have a cooling system, in case the car would be used in the Tropics. Under normal circumstances, you can gain substantial weight savings by removing the radiator, and all the durits. Even the thermostat housing isn't needed, given you leave the sensor connected to ECU to prevent LIMP mode. By doing this, you save approx. 40 kg of weight, resulting in a slightly better acceleration. A smaller tank saves again some kilograms
I prefer taking out parktronic and distronic. I have added an oil cooler from a NASCAR and SLS intercoolers. The car is currently getting SLS internals
How much amperage does this auto battery have? How much amperage does this auto battery have? How much amperage does this auto battery have? How much amperage does this auto battery have? How much amperage does this auto battery have? How much amperage does this auto battery have? How much amperage does this auto battery have?
I would like to now because big batteries tend to develop larger corrosive gas amounts, and these are well nown to cause bad corrosion of the alternator bushes as well as the gargle onks in the ECU.
why do you ask? It is common knowledge that an auto battery puts out a wide variance of amperage during operation. from 1-450amps. Who cares? This video is about training the TCU of the AMG 63.
This once again is in the WORLDS FASTEST QUICKEST CLS 63.
haha I just wan't the car to shift at 7200 in 1st 2nd and third gear so I can attain a championship come to France and do what Lance Armstrong does , win just win
Its really not that complicated, just a method for traing the cars computer to get out of first at maximum rpm. I know it works cacurrently holds THE WORLD RECORD for a Mercedes Benz 0-60ft 1.479 seconds. This was no accident, it took alot of practice
The purpose of the video is exactly as juicee states, to teach the transmission to shift later from first to second on its own. I own a brand new CL63 and if you floor the car from a stand still or at a low enough speed to kick it down to first gear and hold it, the freakin car will upshift to second gear between 5-6k rpm, way to early. Kind of annoying for a 156k car!!!
The only way to hold it in first gear to the appropriate 6,800-7,000rpms is to put it in M mode and shift for yourself which can be annoying and embarrassing when trying to pull away from some rice rocket at low speeds only to be passed cause your 100k plus car cant shift at the right rpms. This training maneuver will teach the car to shift at 6,800-7,200rpms on its own without the M mode engaged which should reduce the number of embarrassing moments during improptu rollon races
Thanks for not recognizing the car, the records, the driver, the technique or anything else. I have a clue about you because of your assinine commentary.
car is running amazing due to owners ecu training. 35k miles, stop hating on the 1st gear training just because you have little to no understanding of this car
This is a training vid, a vid for other owners of the 6.2L N/A Mercedes Benz equipped with the 7G transmission. The harder you drive the faster she goes.. End of story
It was actually nice to just imagine the smoothness and easiness of the 7 speed transmission in everyday life though and this video provided that sensation.
I have it. The CLS 63 is a fantastic choice for a sexy sleek sedan that can compete with the worlds FASTEST sports cars @4300 lbs. The technology is amazing and furthermore the car is FUN and SAFE to drive.

yeah the car learns ur driving habits and the way you drive will have an effect on the shifting points if u drive fast the car wont shift as fast of u drive slow it will shift earlyer because its a luxury car not a sports car
Hey the reason it does 40 in 5th gear or what not is because it has tons of power hp/tq and a magic transmission :D, so in city driving its so the engine doesnt get "tired" and also gets better fuel economy.
you wont teach it to shift at 7300 unless you do it in every gear or drive like that always
because once its back to normal driving... thats that.
to get to the red line when roadracing just wide open throttle it... it sure will pick up
car shifts out at 7200 all day long 7g tranny is butter!!
Your so weak you supposedly built a 650 hp hemi and failed to run it. What a fuckin chickin shit! You choose to endanger the lives of innocent folks hammering throttle ONM PUBLIC ROADWAYS and have the nerve to critisize me for running on NHRA sanctioned tracks and training my TCU for max performance???? Dude you need to stop smoking rock, drop yer playstation control, oh wait you burned rubber BRAVO
wow.. thats realy fast... btw look at my other channel. purplesmoke101. thats what i had done b4 i sold it for 55,000$. so if u dont think i could have kept up wit u wit that, ur a fuckin dip shit.
the idea is to manually hold your gear, so as to train the car to shift later and later in the powerband. I have seen video of Euro specd 63's go to 7300...Yikes. 6800-7300 is fine. In road racing you really need the car to hold a gear/
I hope you dont end up messing up a very expensive 7 speed transmission at your cost.
Just enjoy the fact that you are one of the few that get to experiance a car of that magnitude and even not shifting at where you think it should be and what the car knows best it is still fast that ALOT of things on the road not to mention damn sexy
umm..not sure if any of you have owned a mercedes or an AMG before but the car is shifting fine.
Its not a corvette and even they shift that way for economy when your not heavy on the throttle.
The reason the car shifts the way it does is because its cannot shift that close to fuel cut off. Also read your specs.there isnt really any power at 7200 RPm.Honda S2000 there is power there no on a 6 Little v8
actually the most power is at 7200 hp..the highest peak torque is 5500-5700. You need the engine to wind up to make the most HP, remeber this is a HIGH revving engine lacking the SC or Turbo.. Its fine car runs great and just broke the US fastest 1/4 mile run in a CLS 63
yes the idea is to shift out as close to 6800 as possible(when racing) during normal driving shifting can proceed much earlier. This is simply a technique used to get the car to shift at 6800 or better during a full throttle (WOT) event.
I am an owner of a cls 63 amg I said that this video is stupid because it makes out a will has no interet! That serves has nothing to make roar the engine has 7000rpm in 1st speed so for a long time...
Your absolutely incorrect. Shifting out @7000-7200 allows for best performance in a race, I should know my car broke many US records and likely would SKEWER your CLS in a race. You need to learn about your car and stop criticizing things you do not understand

that is actually the worst thing you can do to your 63. The car in C mode does not ever attain first gear.
Sport mode the car will shift too early unless driven hard for several hundred miles.
The training of the ECU is quickest way to achieve desired shift points. D/S will usually be close but still not perfect
juicee55 3 years ago
its not gona learn shift points if u want it to shift at 7000 just hit the fucking gas
