  • Thank you for sharing. My hair is your length or a little longer. My hair is natural and twists, twist outs and bantu knots have me doing more work to my hair than when it was relaxed. I have recently thought of cutting my hair because I can't take it. I have a hair steamer, Knot today etc to comb through my hair. You are a blessing,

  • I like how she says "What I like" or "How I like." Not what u should do, or what u need to do.

  • Beautiful hair. I have recently started documenting my hair journey as well. Great inspiration.

  • THUMBS UP IF U KEPT YOUR EYES ON THE STEREO IN THE BACK :) CUZ I DID

  • Do you trim after the straightening or after the wash or blow dryer

  • i agree i have straight poofy hair but when its wet its so curly and im always trying to come through it and i agree if your hair is straight it grows more my hair naturally grows!

  • Also, regarding the heat - styling tools have come a LONG way since our mothers warned us about heat in the 80 and 90's. So, please calm down. Perhaps if you would invest in a GOOD flat iron, your hair wouldn't fall out from heat. Ie. My FHI Heat Runway is so good that I only have to straighten once every two to three weeks (and that's only b/c of my roots and for good hygiene) - and it lasts through all types of weather. The FHI costs $495.00, but it's a small price to pay for Bomb.com hair.

  • I agree. I wash/condition/flat iron once every 2 weeks and my unrelaxed/natural hair is gorgeous - people drool over it everywhere I go. I tried the curly thing, but it just doesn't work for me, so I keep it straight and it grows like a weed. I am currently at waist length, and I am aiming for buttox length by the summer. I also don't trim or use a lot of products - my attitude is if the cave men didn't have to, then why should I? I think women just do too much to their hair.

  • Thankyou!!!! I never heard THIS perspective on how to grow long hair before. It makes sense. I might try heat-training.

  • ALOT, A-lot.. i mean A lot lol!! <3

  • I take vitamins for my hair. I buy my vitamins from iherb dot com. They ship worldwide. For my hair and nails: biotin (Thompson) and Horsetail grass (Nature's Way or Nature's Answer). My hair is now in very good condition and long. I have a cupon code for this site if you want order the first time: VIK284 and you have 5$ off.

  • @yaaaaaaaaaaminah - sweet heart i ain't got the energy - people should just be honest. If you sense hate in me maybe that's because you hate first honey - you have yourself a blessed day.

  • For the record get a life - stay away from the chemicals(drugs) and please be straight about using straightener - you just wanted to boast about yourself, very superficial and transparent, i didn't get any form of education on this - hmmmm besides chemicals which you obviously use and keep your hair straight, this some kind of riddle or did your boyfriend just leave you for a girl with a cheap weave ----- no chemicals, keep your hair straight, yada yada yada

  • @bacione97 why hate? this is what works for HER

  • LoL. It's a good thing I read the description because I already do this. xD My hair is close to your length but it doesn't hurt to try and find more help. :D

And people, you don't need to straighten your hair EVERYDAY to keep it straight. I straighten my hair once and usually can keep it from getting frizzy for about a week. That gets pretty difficult during the summer though. >.>

  • i think u would look pretty with bags

  • All the ppl making negative comments in here must not have a whole lot of hair on their.heads......the ignorane on youtube is mind boggling...

  • Do you use high heat?

  • What worked for me is :)

    1. Use less heat on my hair

    2. moisturize my hair everyday

    3. Use natural oils(avoid mineral oil etc)

But my hair still gets dry easily blehh I hate this winter weather....

  • Make additional income with your videos online. Go to a call to women ministries inc to find out more

  • @belislemelinda Um you should really calm down. This works for HER hair. And it looks really thick and beautiful. You actually sound jealous. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all.YOU should delete YOUR comment && most of all, Get a life, seriously, like whats wrong with you. So rude for no reason.

  • How did you get your hair so straight? I think that's what we are all trying to figure it out. lol

  • @blazianbunni she used a flat iron.

  • What is your method in growing back your edges!!! Please help because I have been without edges for a couple of years (since 2008)

  • @08mswalker To grow back edges, stop wearing tight buns and ponytails, tight braids, and weave braids. When flat ironing/pressing your edges be very very very gentle with it. And wearing your hair down most of the time instead of back is also a huge helper. Don't always have your hair in a ponytail or if you do, have it loose but not too lose. When hair appears at your edges, be very careful with them, follow these steps, and watch it grow! I hope this helps!

  • @08mswalker try shima hair oil it works great :)

  • OK SOOO HOW DO YOU KEEP IT STRAIGHT WITHOUT HEAT AND RELAXERS?!?!?!?!!?

  • @shayrhett She DIDN'T, obviously.

  • @shayrhett If you moisturize your scalp, then straighten it from the root out, and wrap it every night, it trains your hair

  • how do you keep your roots straight including your hair?

  • this video was very unhelpful ... you basically didnt say anything as what to use in your hair or your daily routine you wasted my time on watching this video you really only cover what not to use in your hair .... 5 thumbs down to this video

  • @tempptationzz Very helpful. No bullshit "I love this product" crap. Just the legit straight up SINGLE THING that helped. Heat training. I will try it.

  • How do u straighten ur hair?

  • Yea I coudld have told you guys what to do in 3mins or less lol. All that stuff she was sayin Idk lol. Keep chemicals out and dont put too much heat on it. And you can take a pill for skin nails and hair and it makes it grow. #Justthatsimple!

  • ccheck my channel to see how i got to grow my hair with at home trettments

  • I think your boombox is a decepticon!

  • I thought you meant the secret of the hair growth on your lip...

  • The keratin treatment was really bad for my hair and it started to fall out over time D:

  • i feel that might be true, because in hs my hair was bra length, blow dried it EVERY week. after hs my hair fell out. been tryin to grow it back. virgin hair NEVER got a perm. tried the Castro oil didnt do it ALL the time but between the last time i got a trim 6-8 weeks ago to this week when i did it didnt grow even with doing the castro oil. but i ONLY get it straightened when i need a trim. other wise its curly.

what do you use for heat protection?

  • Was waiting to see any products use or recommended, but you never mentioned any, I think. I found myself kind of fast forwarding the video so I can your conclusion/point but u never Got there.

  • those eyes r BIGGGG.....WOW

  • Pls get to the point!!!!!

  • I love your videos But please get to the POINT...no need for all the fluff

  • mole

  • so do u use heat to straighten ur hair cuz dat can cause breakage to

  • just wondering...what hair products do you use?

  • @strainedstreams..,nahh I dnt think,so

  • i used to straighten my hair almost everyday dont keep ur hair straight i'm currently doing something i tried before (it worked) only different is i'm doin it for 8 months ok after i wash my hair(regularly) i dont leave it dripping wet & i dont blow dry it i take out extra water with a towel then u put A LITTLE bit of vasoline or baby oli or olive oil in it (dont put much vasoline in it or it will be greesey) then i braid it 2-3 braids each side my hair grew from shoulder length to my chest

  • @Aria235 take the braids out nd carefully separate them nd split each curl in half this way u get a cute hairstyle and ur hair is getting healthy after the day is done wash ur hair make sure u get all of the vasoline out if thats what u used stay away from heat straighteners curling irons ect my hair was so damaged that if u touched it, it felt like hay..now its healthyer nd my curls r comeing back try this dont expect results right away just like any other kind of treatment it takes a while

  • Dont listen to ger.. Lmaoo .. Keep,on straightning your hairn.,ur shit gonna fall the fuck out..,this bitch dum a.f.

  • @msaqauisuave Her hair is heat trained. So it doesn't get damaged from the heat. Not sure how it works but I doubt every one can do what she does.

  • @msaqauisuave

She didn't say "keep on straightening" she said "Keep it straight". There's a difference. You can flat iron your hair and try to protect it from humidity and keep yourself from sweating which would cause it to get frizzy and wrapping it when you go to sleep and it will remain straight without abusing it with a heat treatment.

  • I don't get why your roots are really thin

  • it's naomi! hi kyla ...brittany :) LOL

  • can someone tell me what her secret was?

  • Comment removed

  • uummmm YER HAIR GROWS BY ITSELF LIKE EVRYONE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!! WAT SECRET?!

  • Loved it :) God bless you!

  • Take notes shes telling the truth, and im a guy. By the way, you're hot, contact me girl.

  • @kwd6bf7d she has a mole on her lip....

  • oh god...... you spent allll that time talking about NOTHIN

  • Comment removed

  • WOW @ all the comments here. Just remember she is talking about what works for HER. It may not work for YOU. Personally, a lot of you sound sour. Be more positive. Build up, not tear down.

  • @natrlchallenge in that case in the first MINUTE all she had to say was two words ... no chemicals....keep it straight.... smh

  • @natrlchallenge AMEN!

  • @natrlchallenge - I sooo agree with you. I mean, looking at her hair clearly she knows what works for her, people are so funny SMH..

  • How do you detangle your hair after washing?

  • Usually I have a terrible time growing out my hair. It gets to a point where there are too many spit ends then it gets all cut off. Now I have really long hair and it is extremely healthy and long. The best advice I can give to people out there that want to grow out their hair is to use a comb to detangle your hair-work gently with the knots & be patient. Never use a brush-I found when I used a brush, my ends would break off badly. My second tip is to use lots of conditioning treatments.

  • @BabyballoonGirl2

yeah those wigs look like CRAP.. the Asians are making super big bank of them buying them too. I think its better just to go natural even wear it short but stop with the fake plastic hair wigs

  • @jessicahomely101 the fact is she gave herself minutes upon minutes of an intro to a question that she couldve answered right off the bat. you said giving as if she did nothing but answer the question. i bet if you asked me a question and i talked around it for 5 minutes that you would say it was annoying and that i was wasting time

  • @HeadHigh8SaintPete The point of the video is "My hair growth secrete." She's giving you lots of tips and advice on how to manage your hair all relating to how she grows her hair long. I don't understand how that can be considered wasting time!

  • What are you talking about?????? You didnt answer the question you said everyone keep asking you....

  • @meme254ify

a degree in wasting time? lmao that made my day

  • If you're thinking about heat training don't do it, and quite honestly this girl shouldn't be telling others to do it to maintain "healthy hair". That's a complete oxymoron- If I said I keep my skin healthy by tanning frequently would you believe me? of course not. I've done weeks of research myself and I have curly hair and Protective styling, patience and nutrition are the best way to maintain healthy hair. Heat dries out all of the water leaving it susceptible to breakage.

  • @SpectaculaSpectacula

i aggree and it looks PERMED to me seriously. I have curly hair and it would take a long time under dryer to get my hair straight and would definitely need chemicals. I think she thinks WE are ignorant.

  • @meme254ify Damn, Nobody Made U watch It...

  • You really didn't provide any details that another person could use i.e. how often, what tools, products, how you handle humidity. This video is pointless. heat everyday can be damaging to the hair as well.

  • No disrespect.. But it really wasnt no point made in this video.. Jus sounds like ur bragging... Happy 4 u tho...

  • But I swear your hair does the same thing as relaxed hair if it's heat treated? The new growth is still different from the heat trained bits..

    O_o

  • so annoying

  • i know

  • Nice video.. But to sisters you don't have to keep it straight .. You should protect it by conditioning and good oils and herbs often, covering it when resting, combing gently from ends of hair, inward to roots while damp, twisting or braiding but loose at roots. And eat healthy foods. And your hair will grow as well as a white persons. In most cases natural just looks short but really it 2 to 3 time as long. Blessed to by nappy

  • Im confused -__-

  • I THINK WHEN YOU USE HEAT ON YOUR HAIR EVERY DAY THTS WHEN IT BREAKS YOUR HAIR;

  • @KenyaH252

I DON'T THINK SHE EVEN ONCE SAID TO USE HEAT ON YOUR HAIR "EVERYDAY".

No need for the caps you know. >.>

  • Oh my goooood SO WHAT IS THE SECRET.....

    Just loads of talking

  • Do you press your hair w| a hot comb???

  • I think heat is not such a good thing for hair but maybe not so damaging for Natural Hair/non Chemical treated. So this works for you, maybe it will work for some others. How do you keep your hair straight? Flat Iron... how do you prep your hair?

  • meme254ify....... WAISTING time ... lollll u got to be kidding me!

  • Is she lightskinned o.o...

  • Just say the method......

  • Sweetheart you take a little bit to long to get to the point were looking for the remedy not a lecture

  • Did she ever say what type of products she uses, such as shampoos and conditioners?

  • hi SO HOW EASY IS IT TO GO FROM RELAXED HAIR TO NATURAL HAIR BRITTANY?

  • growth is based on genetics and health

  • @RoseRed M=Glad it worked for you too also.. I honestly was skeptical at first about the, good thing i took a bit on it since it gave me a 100% refund guarantee.. a month under its treatment, the result was all good. It went extremely well.. Anyway, you got then site name mispelled.. It should be HairLoss101. net (no space)

  • u talk to much get to the point! jesus

  • she a DUMB ass keeping it straight does not make it grow

  • Flat ironing, when done correctly...not using TOO much heat (scorching the hair is not necessary) can be beneficial in retaining hair length (most do not know how to go about it in a correct manner). Also I noticed when I wear my hair natural for extended periods of time and then straighten it my ends are a mess. Tightly coiled hair wraps around each strand, when we detangle the hair via combing it, etc... this causes more damage to the ends over time. So yes, her video has much validity.

  • Funny though...all most had to do was move on if you thought it was long winded. No one said you had to sit and listen. Exercise some common sense

  • She finally says it, plain and simple, at 8:05 . You're welcome :-D

  • @princessfly11 LOL scary you read mine and 30 others minds. ;)

  • @princessfly11 THANKYOU!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • you;re one fine sister, also bald lol

  • ur just talkin crap... wasted my time

  • all i could see was the speakers :P x

  • I am sooo glad I watched this video, I know I am late but I have visited your channel before and saw pictures of your natural, unheat trained hair and thought it was soo beautiful. I was disappointed you did not wear it that way anymore however I really felt you were getting a LOT of criticism for your choice and didnt want to add to it. I think the points you make in the video are absolutely correct. I am a natural that has extreme difficulty retaining length. keep doing you thanks

  • Do you wear protective styles?

  • Good tips

  • this girl is sexy!

  • @cinbengalsfan22 are u out of your freakin mind?

  • interesting

  • Didd anyonee else noticee That Stereo In The Backk Flashinqq ??

    Lol but qood tips !

  • Wow. U r so articulate and amazing. I'm in love ( I'm a guy, just stumbled upon you, with dread locks and finding natural ways to keep them strong healthy and looking amazing)

  • But do you not clip your ends?

  • Endless video.... I quit

  • This was a waste of time

  • Try The Complete Length All Natural Hair Grow Products, Visit Complete Length Hair Products on Facebook

  • you make sense. Thanks. i learnt something here today. It's true. I'm constantly finding broken hairs after a simple moisturizing session, so I can attest to the damaging effects of the detangling (even just finger detangling). Thanks for the video.

  • She has a mole.. leave her alone.. darn it.. anyway.. Yea.. my hair is growing too and to heck with chemicals.. I am never going back to them again..

  • what the fuck is that shit on ur mouth lol NASTY !

  • Blah blah blah...try to get to the point when you do videos thats what i wanna hear not talk talk talk..!

  • Wow!!! It took 7mins to say what could have been said in 2 mins.

  • You're right. This is long winded. Sorry, gotta go.

  • Why do people think that bi-racial people have naturally straight or easy to manage hair? Having bi-racial people in my family, I can attest that this is not the case. The hair textures and lengths vary. People need to get it together and stop with the generalizations. There are plenty of people walking around with long hair, and they are African or of African descent.

  • @MusicalPassion I hear you! I have two bi-racial nieces (black and white), and my 10-year-old brother is black and arab. My youngest niece has soft, curly hair (closer to AA texture) that is much easier to manage. My other niece has A WHOLE LOT of straighter, fine, dry in-between (texture wise) hair that is VERY difficulty to comb, and it gets knotted easily which makes it prone to breakage. My brother has tightly curled, dense, course hair. So, you are right! No one should make assumptions!

  • Too long, get to the point!!

  • I feel u, waste of time

  • just wasted 5min watching this....ugh

  • I have a amazing stylist that has been in the business for 27 years . I drink alot of milk and take vitamins that are great for hair and nails and bones.

  • @married1959 Yep! I own a health and nutrition store so I take a lot of supplements. Nails and hair on me grows like crazy!

  • @GoodVibrationsHealth what supplements?

  • I am not black, but I have hair that tangles badly and when I brush through it, a clump comes out. My hair is long, but thins as a result of the problems mentioned.

  • Thank you for sharing your method. I know alot of nautal hair women us this method. They dont realize it.

  • Girllllll get that mole removed

  • you look part Somali, like Iman.

  • How do you straighten your hair which btw is gorgeous!!!

  • What the hell is 'co-washing'???

  • @babyboom64 It's basically washing your hair ...just with conditioner. becuase a lot of shampoos contain ingredients (sls) that strip your hair of natural oils. It's is something that works for some people and doesn't for others. I for example wash my hair once a week (and condition of course) and co-wash in the middle of the week. I believe the golden rule is find what works for YOUR hair. becuase what works for one person might not for another. but anyway I like co-washing : ).

  • @summerchick621 Okay, so the "co" in "co-washing" stands for "COnditioner". Got it. Well, if that's the case, I wear my hair natural (in a bun, not out) every day and co-wash it daily. I shampoo it every 4-5 days. I get it pressed and flat-ironed once every 3 months at the salon and wear it straight for 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. It's natural the rest of the time. I do NOT let anyone cut or trim my hair anymore. I layer it myself, quite nicely, I might add. I used to wear my hear short and cut it myself.

  • @babyboom64 ahh that's nice! and yea I am very picky as to who else does my hair . specially when it comes to trimming and cutting. Some people tend to go a little overboard lol.

  • Fine as hell

  • what do you do when its humid and when it rains????

  • How long did it take to grow your hair to that length?

  • @Brittanynic16 Thanks for the video. I get no chemicals and keep it straight for growth. It makes good sense. How do you keep it straight? Hot combs, blow dried?

  • @hunnyb839 I understand 'your method' for growing 'your hair' but this is 'her method' for growing 'her hair'. She's only giving an answer to what others have been asking and that is, 'what does SHE do to maintain her hair'. If heat doesn't bother her hair (or anyone else for that matter) then why should it matter to any of us? Rhetorical.

  • what all methods did you try?

  • this not no secret man!!!

  • I stumbled across your video about last year.. But your the one that influenced me to go natural!! And its working out great for me! I kinda fell off a little bit by straightening it everday! but im staying away from heat and my hair is way longer than it was last year!! THANKS!

  • @kween4life not necessarily my mother never had long hair and mine is very long...but that is true in some occasions

  • What temp do u use when straightening?

  • If you didnt want to sit through 9 minutes of talking, then you had the choice to not watch. She keeps saying that this works for her hair!!!! Goodness no need to bash her.

  • are you Ethiopian

  • @LondonJahzara2011 no, i'm ethiopian and i know this chick isn't ethiopian

  • @lifeisgolden41 you look Ethiopian, and i didn't mean anything bad by it there pretty people, and you a pretty girl, anyways from how you responded to the question i looks like you got offended, but that wasn't my intentions.

  • do you use leave in conditioners?

  • WATCH THE NEW VIDEO CALLED IMPEACH BALDNESS FOREVER ITS AWSOME

  • Anyway love, ignore all the ignorant comments. When people are insecure in certain areas of their life, they tend to lash out whenever they get the opportunity. So.. On to your video! Your hair is absolutely gorgeous. I agree with the straighter you keep it, the more it will grow. Or rather, the less tangles and knots you have to comb through, the less stress on your scalp. So yes, keep it straight. (: I hope to keep in touch!

  • @Countessification uhhh no, cause then it damages easier. my hair is longer than hers when it's straight, and i never ever used heat on my hair whn i was young. in fact, it was a huge bushy frizzball. my hair was mid-back before i cut it, and with all the heat i've put on my hair it's gotten shorter (mid-breast length). so i am a living testimony that you can have curly hair without straightening it and it'll grow.
