Your playing technique and skill as a teacher is brilliant, leaving me deeply impressed.

  • Great job of teaching! Thanks for sharing your talent!

  • what is the first chord you are using?

  • my sister showed me this video she learned this song by watching this video. Your talented and a great teacher! Keep it up Uncle raggy!!!

  • It would be amazing if there were tabs to this. I learn by seeing it in front of me versus watching someone else do it. I love your version, though!

  • I love this song and your guitar work is super clean and beautiful. Your tutorial is excellent and easy to follow.

  • you should record just playing the tune...

  • Raggs, you've done it again!!!!!! SCHWEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!! I'll be sharing this with some friends!

  • A Classy Song by a Classy Guy! Thank you for the lesson; Really appreciate it :)

  • hahaha.. this guy is the best!!!

  • This is such a haunting song. There is always a new way to play it that sounds good. You have found a great new way of expressing it. Cheers from Lancashire UK.

  • Nice Job! .... Much more like the original than my version ...

  • I'm not watching to learn how to play it....that's just so beautiful on that "Big Blonde Epiphone," I just love to hear you play it! Just plain awesome!

  • i love this rendition of it... fuller sound then most versions on here.

  • Nice job!

  • This sounds beautiful ... even though it's WAAAY over my head, going to keep watching and pick up what I can. Can't tell you how nice this sounds .. beautiful.

  • Most people who play this song overplay to the extreme, the worst being Brian Setzer.

To quote Chuck Berry: They lose the beauty of the melody till is sounds like . . . shit!

This version, however, is very tasteful. Thanks for posting your lesson showing us how to play it.

  • Thank you very much!!

  • with old the respect is there a way u can post a video playing the whole song =]

  • ..crafty....

  • I thank you for taking the time to watch it. Have a great day. Uncle Raggy

  • Man You are great! Thanks for doin this-it was cool, thanks again.

Thank you you gave me another reason to buy a gretsch !!

I appreciate the time that you have taken to show us young pups how to get it done !!

  • I have looked at other video clips on guitar lessons, and by far, your method and sYtyle is one that I enjoy most.

  • thats a cool version uncle Raggy, I,m goin to use that on my acoustic, anyway, some people over complicate the guitar and you wouldnt know the difference if you wasnt watchin thier fingers, cheers man

  • Very good and I like the way you explain each step, as you said there are all kinds of ways to play this song, some just sound better than others and your version sounds great.

  • very cool : )

  • wow! Simply the best explanation of this song out there! Thanks!

  • Thank you RhapsodyRecordings for your kinds words. I thank you for watching. I try to teach like I play - simple and it makes me happy! The guitar is one that Willie Earl King Jr. gave me several years ago. He was (sadly he died recently) a great man of the people, a lover of music and a great Blues Teacher as well as a much loved performer. He always said, "blues is a feeling, that you feel, when you feel it." It took me three years to understand what he was saying. But one day...I felt it. Rag

  • Thanks a lot for this video, sir. I don't think there's anyone else in the world that teaches this song the way that you do. It sure helped me a lot! Very attractive guitar as well. Thanks, once again!

  • What kind of amp. are you using & Guitar your useing on this.

  • @wayneptl I am plugged straight into the computer through a Behringer 1202 with a touch of reverb from the 1202. The guitar (glad you asked cause I just noticed for the first time in years it does not have a serial no. on the label!) is an Epiphone Sheraton - with NO SERIAL Number! It was given to me by Willie Earl King about ten years ago. Raggy

  • @raggyragsdale great lesson mate , thanks alot !!

  • Nice. I'm going to use it this week. From one old picker to another.

  • i love everything about this. ive learned it now and love the arrangement. it will be in my solo gig set list this weekend. i really like the friendly style of raggy. cheers mate, from an aussie in china, tryin to improve with no teacher or other guitarists to check out at gigs. .

  • Very Lovely Approach! Thank you!

  • Thank you Raggy!!

  • Thanks, I'll try it out when i get home!

  • Thank you sir, that's cool.

  • How do you play the first two chords? I can't quite nail them. thanks.

  • @AlanbKazaam @AlanbKazaam Hey Allan! The first chord is a C Major. Middle finger on the 6th string on the 12th fret. (mute the 5th string by touching it with the middle finger.) First finger plays the 4t string on the 10th fret. Ring finger plays 3rd st. 12th fret. Little finger on 2nd st. 13th fret. (first string is muted by pinky.) The 2nd chord is Bb9 no root. 1st finger, 5th s. 5 fret: Ring f. 4th s. 6th f: Middle f. 3rd s. 5th f: Pinky 2nd s. 6th f. raggy
  • This is great, Raggy! Craig

  • That's very nice! Wish I could get some tabs; it's a clear video but I'm too inexperienced to see where your fingers go exactly...

  • Very Nice, You make it look simple, Thanks, another old timer hehe

  • @GrampaTbird Only a great mind and a better than fair guitar would pick up on the term "simple". I mean if it was easy everyone would play it. But keep it simple and anyone can play it. You made my day with your comment. Play hard, laugh harder and don't take yourself too seriously - and everybody else even less. darag

  • Very nice, instructions are clear, video is clear. .I would disagree with the comments on not as talented. Yeehaw for old guys. they know so much more than young guys

  • Love it! Takes me back to the mid 80's, but so much better than a cassette recording!! Please upload more lessons. I need a refresher course!
