I remember Mantronix coming to the Super Skate in H-Town. This joint tore the roof off the place. Your right the drum beats were ahead of time. And whats so cold is that he didn't even rhyme on this joint.
TO TRULY APPRECIATE MANTRONIX ITS A MUST THAT YOUR HOME OR CAR OR EVEN BLOCK PARTY OR CLUB SYSTEM IS PUMPIN' ... BECASUSE MANTRONIX USES THAT ROLAND TB303 BASS MACHINE ..... THE BASS IS SIC
WORDS CAN'T EXPLAIN THE INTENSITY OF THIS CUT. tHIS IIIIIIIIS HIPHOP AT IT'S PUREST FORM. You see the dislike are zero. I remember bumpin' this shit at 13 yrs old in my boom box. Where I'm from, at the time you couldn't help but hear Mantronix amongst all of us African-American youth, and St.Louis ,Mo's Magic 108fm helped boost Mantronix air play in eastern Missouri along the river. CLASSIC HIPHOP FOREVER! Good post chrisrap4ever.
Mantronix drum beats were sooooo ahead of our time back then. I remember our crew rapped on so many mantronix instrumentals that we won a couple of talent shows! This was the track that won me 1st place in 88 in a Baltimore Talent Show! So many Dope Ass Memories! This was true Hip Hop!
@PoohBabiiBear Yeah dawg, I'm from Baltimore too. I went to Walbrook around this time. Mantronix was the joint, waaaaayyyy ahead of it's time. This and "Fresh is the Word". That's when hip-hop was real, yo.
@MrRut1970 I bought this a rolled for a month w/ it before I ever THOUGHT about taking out of the deck.. And my tape never skip even when I jump the car..ha HAA
