  • Beautiful curls......do you have problems with hair odor, if so what can you spray on it? And do you think this is good method for new BC's about 4 inches of hair?

  • I'm new to your channel. I LOVE IT!! I've been natural for about 8 years now just figuring it out on my own, I will def be using some of your techniques!! Thanks!!

  • cool!!!

  • Thank u!

  • BEAUTIFUL hair !

  • I cant wait to try this thanks!

  • thanx4this video..it totally works on all curl textures n lengths..i have 3a/3b curls tht stop at top of my chest n this process workd amazingly..i only was able2get3days wit this process tho..bt.nonethess keep makn great curly tutorial/informational videos :)

  • I feel sooo slow, I never thought to use TWO plastic caps o_O

  • I tried the winter wash and go and it was an EPIC fail by day two because I need gel in my hair otherwise it is a FRO! Once I added the gel in my hair the 5 process has been amazing on my shorter hair!!! Thank you for this idea!!!

  • Wonder how this will look on shorter hair? UMMM think I will do a VR. lol

  • @NapPurSuaded10 It works. I have short hair and I don't have enough hair to shake but I lightly fluff by hand. I've used with twist outs and with wash & gos. It's awesome.

  • Thank you so much I definitely needed this video

  • I tried this and my hair looks great

  • Thank you so much or this method!!! I haven't done a proper wash 'n' go for over a year - could never find a way to make it last (and look good) for more than the day I did it. I'd end up with dry, flat, dull and frizzy 2nd day hair. The more I'd try to fix it the more it would get messed up and the tangled aftermath was not worth it for 1 day of good looking hair. I finally got brave enough to try it again with your maintenance method and it's worked out incredibly! Thanks again.

  • lol i just caught myself rolling my eyes at this video. first of all i WISH my hair was long enought to need two plastic caps lol second of all my shrinkage is unbelievable and third my curls (related to tangling) do not cooperate under any circumstances related to a wash and go lol but i will try this and the winter wng method. your vids are great btw

  • Wats ur hair type?

  • Fab!!!!

  • I have 4c hair and am gonna try it...hope it works!

  • PLEASE patent this method if you thought of it...it's AMAZING! it's great for people like me with twa's in winter so i don't have to re do my hair EVERY SINGLE DAY! i LOVE it, thanks alot :)

  • THis is great!! I am sooo going to try this next week!

  • well you are just the BIZNISS! im subbin!

  • Sounds like you used the "reverse" pinapple method! nice work!

  • Your arms are ridiculously buff! lol :-)

  • Great baggie idea. I cannot do the water mist because my hair frizzed up when you suggested that in another video. Our hair texture is different. Keep up the good work!

  • Simply beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing you fantastic hair styling and maintenance tips. Your time is very much appreciated:o)

  • I'm going to try this on my twa , hope it works :)

  • Your curl definition is just amazing!!!

  • I have found that the best way to maintain this style is to retwist the hair in large twists each night. Just be sure not to disturb the curls. It only takes a few minutes and it gives your hair more and more stretch as the days go by without sacrificing definition. If you need to remoisturize, then do it before twisting (just don't mess up the curls). Retwisting will also keep the hair from tangling and shrinking while you sleep.

  • Welp, I'm trying this tonight!!!!

  • Your hair is sooooo beautiful!!! Do you have it cut in certain style? It looks like it.

I hope my hair is as gorgeous when it grows out. Peace.

  • Question: Do maintain this same method when your exercising during the week?

  • Go-geous! But I'm definitely too chicken to try this!

  • I am going to give this a try tonight. Nite, nite! :o)

  • thankyou Naptral85!! where did you get those black ear studs? I've been looking for studs like those everywhere!

  • Can't wait to try this very soon

  • I gotta try this.

  • I love your videos. Thanks for the info. I will definately try this. Your videos are a real inspiration. Btw. Your hair is beautiful!!!

  • Amazing!!!

  • I forgot that my cardinal rule of hair. Everyone's hair is different and always try new methods on the weekend. This didn't work on my hair as it fine and thin 4a prone to frizz. I had to go to work today with my hair a matted frizzy mess because I didn't have time to repair it. I think this method would work great for someone with thick hair like hers.

  • And why didn't I think of this? My hair definitely does much better when I mist with water, but I never thought to do it at night and sleep with plastic cap...hmmm, will be trying this for sure! THANKS!

  • Love this vid. I, too have the same questions as eye4fazhion. How do I maintain this style when I work out 5days a week?

  • Great method! I use it too!!!

  • Wow, thats awesome!!

  • Love this vid I want to try it however what should I do when I go to the gym which would be right after work. I should I do my hair while I'm at the gym? Should I two strand twist while at the gym then take it out when I get home and try your method? Thanks in advance.

  • gurl u are amazing this method is by far the ONLY method that alows me to keep my wash n go for a long time. i always had to do it everyday or ever 2 days and even sleep app weird lol thanks!

  • Man! Thank you! This is just what I've been looking for and you really made the process come alive by telling the why"s and answering the most common questions. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • I love your videos. I am so thankful for this video. I love my wash and go but i find it never looks the same after the first day. This is really a big help. Love it!!! I love your style btw.

  • Great idea! Thanks. I love your vids!

  • I love your videos. They are so informative. Your hair is so beautiful. Omg this is the truth. I didn't know a braid/twist out would look good the next day on my hair. I followed your directions. I sprayed the water in the air and let it fall on my hair and it looks good. I thought it would be horrible the next day but it wasn't. Thank you for all that you do. I enjoy your videos so much. Thanks again and God bless.

  • Very nice, now if only I wasn't a wild sleeper and could keep the caps and scarf on! :)

  • @NaturalHarmony74 LOL! I put a beanie on top to keep everything in place. Hubby laughs but I look good in the morning. :o)

  • Bout to try this, hope it works! :P Ty for posting this, i love watching your videos and seeing your hair makes me drool lol! Cant wait till my hair grows as long as yours :)

  • WOW WOW WOW! I'm gonna try this. I'm rockin a W & G rite now :)

  • I'm going to try this tonight! Thank you!

  • How does one find out what type of hair they have (ie 4b, 4c).

  • U ROCK!once again thanks for the awesome vid! Winter wash and go here I come :)

  • I spritzed my hands and rubbed them into my hair, as well as a few drops of oil to seal it in (where I live is DRY!). Girl, I woke up with a shrunken fro! LOL!! I have MAJOR shrinkage issues and my hair isn't very long at all, even stretched. Thank you for your tips though, because they make me think about different ways of doing things. You help me remain determined to find the combination of things that will work for me and my hair.

  • Super hair Saver. love ya vids.

  • Your videos are so helpful. Thanks-a-million!!! ;-)

  • I love ur videos and ur personality. I have learned alot. Thanks!!!!

  • YASSSSSS *lightbulb turns on*!!!!

  • worked perfectly for me... thanks so much.

  • OMG I"m gong to try this method asap. I live in Wisconsin so wash and go's really aren't an option for me in the winter time, because I usually sprtiz my hair with water every morning to refresh the curls, so I would have to diffuse everyday in the winter and I don't like having to use heat everyday. So this is a great alternative. I"m going to try this and let u know how it works (-:

  • Does your hair ever start smelling after using this method? I find when ever I "baggie" it makes my hair smell very rancid/foul. I think I may be putting too much water.

  • @AfriPrincess411

Add your favorite essential oil to the spray bottle. It should give the hair a nice smell. Remember, don't spray too much.

  • You know you rock woman! Those of us who are frustrated with our locks can look at yours and...dream! LOL. Thanks for taking the time to share your creative genius with us!

  • this is amazing.....i lov ur hair.kip the gd wrk

  • This is so simple. Why didn't I think of it???

  • love this method...i'm going to try it on my braid out and see what I get...i HATE having to re-braid my hair every night to achieve the look i want in the AM..thanks for the vid!

  • your hair is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Did you cut your hair?

  • Your hair is beautiful as always, but my hair would never do this. I don't have the same texture as you. Thanks for posting.

  • Why is "natural hair" always in quotation marks? Just asking.

  • Great tips! I think we're hair twins! I can't wait to try this after I try your wash 'n go!

  • Beautiful like always..( =

  • how do you protect the style to workout? ( I love to call it the Whitney) :-)

  • Cowash? C3? What do all these terms mean? And I'm sure there are more... I do wash and goes but my hair has to be washed or get wet in the shower everyday to keep the curls looking nice. I'll try this method and see how it works for me. Thanks for the tip

  • Wow where do u learn all these tips amazing

  • I am impressed! Great tip…thanks!

  • I WAS WONDERING DO U SUFFER FROM SINGLE STRAND KNOTS a.k.a FAIRY KNOTS?

  • Girl you're a genius! I'm still transitioning but I can't wait to try this when its fully natural again. The last time I was natural I let it get to about your length but succumbed to the creamy crack because I couldn't figure out how not to have to re-wet every day. This time I am committed to staying natural and you may have just answered my prayers for a better solution this time LOL. Thanks!

  • ur hair is awesome and beautiful, luv the info thanks

  • I think we are due for a length check video:)

  • Your vids are awesome! How do you get the ideas to make these helpful videos? It's wonderful :)

  • great job..again!

  • my I ask what kind of camera do you use? the quality of your videos are always on point!

  • Great style I LOVE this song too.

  • Hey! Great video...Please check your inbox I sent you a YouTube message since I don't have a FB account! Thanks Again for your help!

  • OMG amazing!!

  • LOOOOVE THIS!!! Will def be trying with wash n go's and other styles! Thanks for the vid!!

  • Definintely going to try this. You really know your hair... it's my goal to get as comfortable with mine one of these days!

  • Does this work with white hair

  • Loved the tutorial!

  • flaming fantastic!! i have 3b/c hair but after a few days the curls at the back and the front are a bit pants so i will mos def give this a try. loving that you only used water for the 5 days!

  • Amazing!! WILL definitely try this!

  • I only have 14months of growth on my hair. So my wash and goes only stay good for 3 days before transforming into a frow with a lot of shrinkage. Can't wait for another 14months of growth to come!

  • Nice vid...and great tip about using the two plastic caps for big hair....Never thought to do that.

  • OK I am gonna try this..looks like my hair might cooperate!

  • Amazing, you always have THE coolest tips. Thanks for sharing!!!!

  • CURIOUSITY!: how long did it take you to get this much growth while tranistioning?

  • OMG!!!! AWESOME TIP!! This kept my hair so soft, mosturized, and my curls defined. I didn't have to add anything extra to my hair the next day. It was just as if i had just did my wash n go. I'm so estatic about this new way of keeping my hair.....THANK YOU O SO MUCH!!!!

  • @mekhile ME TOO! Im looooving this!!

  • omg

  • Do you mostly do Wash-n-gos??? Water is your healing power!!!! Love ya hair!!!

  • The water and shower cap method keep my twa defined!

  • Thank you for this video!!

  • love your sensible tips.

  • im so gonna try this cus my issue with my hair is that it always gets stuck together an dryd and i can nvr make it look right

  • hair miracle has just been wrought!

  • I use the plastic cap method, but I mix it up sometime by putting my hair in a high ponytail and then putting the plastic cap on..that helps when I don't want too much volume.

  • Do you ever have a bad hair day?? Love it!

  • Thank you soooo much Nap!!!! I have just moved to England from the Caribbean and was fretting over what I would do for winter since I LIVE by my wash and go!!! Love ya girl!

  • Awesome wash n go maintenance!!! I love it

  • Perfect! Another video added to my favorites!!!

  • Hey Naptural!I tried your wash n go method yesterday and I'm rocking my first SUCCESSFUL wash n go today! I didn't think it would work on me because I have 4b/c hair and I used conditiioner instead of the mudwash, but I gave it a try anyway. My curls aren't super-defined like yours because my texture's different, but I am truly in LOVE with this whole process. I'm excited to see if it will hold up with the baggies at night. Hopefully I can get a few days out of it ;)

  • LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YOUR HAIR! GOD! LOL

  • You are amazing to me. I'm such a fan! Forget Beyonce I would flip out if I ever actually met you lol! You've taught me TONS about my hair and how to care for it, also about organic living. Your crazy and silly like me and I love it. Keep giving us the good stuff. Tks

  • Great video as always! Do u have any suggestions on how to care for natural hair that is experiencing breakage? I have 3c-4a curls have breakage in my crown area (significantly shorter pieces)..... Do u have any suggestions on how to prevent breakage as well as how to stimulate hair growth in that area? Tks

  • Wait now I love some Naps.. but going to bed like that does seem like it will turn the hubby on.... lol Is there no other alternative

  • I really enjoy your vids, they are great!! I've been watching ever since I've been natural, 2yrs yesterday!!! Very inspirational, thank you for only talking about how to style the hair during the tut and not rambling about any and everything, that's what your other channel is for, which I also love! Your other channel feels like a quick stop over my girlfriend house! GENIUS

  • Simply beautiful!

  • what if you have ear length hair

  • Yes I used heat every 2weeks bcuz I wasn't aware that wut I was doin was considered transitioning (13months). Wut can I do now?!

  • OK OK OK! Lmao, every time you make a vid, I'm perplexed.

So, you mean to tell me your only moisturizing tool for 5 days was water?? All because of some aloe Vera juice and the Terressentials Mud Wash??! AMAZEBALLS.

Secondly, my hair is of 4b. Would this last if we do the same steps or would us 4Bers need additional moisturizers?

    Thanks so much!

  • @mochalatte233 I am a 4c and this method works wonders for me, This should work amazing for you! Trust me!

  • @mochalatte233 I would suggest trialing this method, then adding water depending on how your hair reacts x

  • I'm still trying to get my hair to not friz out when unbraiding or untwisting. If i'm lucky i'll get a full hour before my hair shrinks dry and frizzes out!!

  • @JadedeaJade I used to have that problem too; I learned a tip from CurlyNikki. Put your regular moisturizer on when you twist your hair at night--followed by oil to seal it in. My hair used to be frizzy before I even left for work. Now it stays defined all day. I also learned to set with a gel--curls goddess glaze to get a better holding set after I wash. Hope this helps a bit and good luck! Oh, and I use a bit of EVOO to smooth over hair before I take it down ;)

  • You're hair is so unbelievably thick! I love it! I'm a true wash and go lady, so I will definitely try this on my hair tonight! Hopefully, my hair will bounce back like yours! My fingers are crossed! :P

  • can u use this method on a braid out as well???

  • You may have just saved me!!! I was sooooo trying to figure out how I was going to battle the wash my hair and go out in the cold air without ending up in the ER on an extended stay... So THANK YOU!

  • genius!

  • Very pretty. Can you do more Curl Former styles, please?

  • Fabulous! Someone said your hair was magical-I agree. I never do WnG's b/c my hair doesn't have any curl unless i twist it. :( Love this tip to re-moisturze my protective twist as well. Thanks!

  • This is awesome, I Love all your vids!!!

  • awesome advice :D

    love your videos!

  • Greenhouse Effect....

  • Fabulous!!!!

  • This is genius!! ...but would it work for 4c hair?? :)

  • wow!!!

  • This would never work for my hair. It would be a poofy at the root-no curl-smooshed-matted mess. =)

  • is your hair cut in a shape??

  • Comment removed

  • U r just beautiful! I've been doing this method for awhile...the only difference is I put my hair in a puff and just cover the puff with a plastic cap and put a scarf around the rest of my hair thats exposed. Then I use a bonnet over the whole thing :-)

  • Comment removed

  • dude...im amazed. trying this tonight!

  • @ajbrown3b me too!! :)

  • i really like this video, im doing to try this this week

  • did you put any oils or shea in during the week or does the cap keep it most enough to skip that step

  • Thanks! I didn't know the water makes the hair shrinks even more. That figures. That's why I love looking at your videos. You're so informative!!!! Be Blessed, sweetie.

  • Thanks ,once again!!! I will definitely use this method!!

  • Omggg! I want your hair! It's so perfect<33

  • Awesome....

  • this vid came just in time!! thanks!

  • what kind of wash n go is it.... just smaller twist...?????? looks AMAZING!!!!!!

  • target has some nice reusable shower caps that have SIZES! I have a thick head of hair like you and making my hairstyles last makes me happy! Thank you so much for your inspiration!!!

  • I can't see this working for me b/c the magical moisture is part sweat. After a few days, bacterial growth = odor. Beautiful results for you, though. I know that will be my end result b/c my hair smells after a week with just the satin scarf. It's just a fact of life.

  • If my hair is not long enough for a low ponytail, then what can i do to stretch it out while trying to maintain a wash and go?

  • @kametta1121 Use a few scrunchies (mini-pineapples) to stretch your hair out. The end result should be similar. Hope that helps!

  • I'm not sure this will work for my hair, but my son loved the song "Power of Music." Thanks for the vid. I may give it a try.

  • Very cute:)

  • Love the vid. Love the music and...LOVE YOUR HAIR !!!

  • I hope my hair looks like yours when it grows out. I cut it all off June1st and have been wearing it very short and loving it but will be growing it out soon.

  • This a great vid but with my texture, my hair would never do this!

  • @epa05 try it and see!!! :)

  • I long for the day I HAVE to use (2) caps!!! Lol! Great Vid!!
