Charles was a real opponent for marciano to really shine. he was probally the hardest fighter marciano ever faced. He need more real opponents like Jersey Joe Wallcott, Joe Louis and Archie Moore to really show off his right hand.
Marciano fought a lot of boxers who were well past their sell by date but still manage to go quite a few rounds with him. Old man Archie Moore a blown up light heavyweight even managed to floor Marciano.
Can you imagine Marciano, at 187 ilbs standing up to Liston, Foreman, Tyson? I think not. If he made it past the third round it would have been a miracle. Joe Louis was "old" but still managed a good few rounds and Jersey Joe was ready to collect his old age pension.
@TheEnlightened77 He did run from Liston and Patterson who were making a name for themselves already by the mid 50s. At 32 years old he knew a guy like Liston or Patterson would ruin his record so he retired and kept his padded record in tact. I also think there is no way in hell he could beat Muhammad Ali, never had anyone seen such a fast fighter like Ali, Marciano beat flat footed and old fighters, Ali would baffle him with amazing speed on all fronts. I don't think he could even beat Frazier
Charles was a Featherweight in the amatuers. He was starting to lose a lot when faced the Rock. Charles was on the way down , he wasn't on the way up at 33. He was shop worn as were most of Rocks top tier opponents were.
@RayPFP A cruiserweight by what standards? Todays standards! In his day, anyone over 175 lbs was a heavyweight...period! Which means he had to fight people like 214lbs Joe Louis. And he didn't have the frame of a middleweight, he was chiseled down to 185. Don't believe the poor quality of grainy B&W film, the rock was a lot bigger than he looked here! And I guess Holyfield was a lt. hvy, Michael Spinks, Roy Jones, and James Toney were all middleweights! It's where u end up, not where u started!
@RayPFP 1 last point; if Charles had the frame of a middle-as u think-he wouldn't have been able to carry 25-30lbs over that limit(as he did in his bouts w/Rocky)without looking like an overblown middle carrying too much wt.He looks like a lean hvy in this fight, who at 6 ft tall, could've easily carried another 20 lbs of muscle on that frame. Especially when u look at Holyfield, Tyson, Tua, etc. He absolutely did NOT have the frame of a middle. he had a hvywt frame, which he easily grew into.
@RayPFP No, I think YOU mean like Bob Foster, as he certainly did have the "thin" undersized frame you claimed Charles to have , as Foster was a true ectomorph. Charles did not, was not(an ectomorph),as he easily carried that extra 25-30 over the middle limit, and could've easily carried another 20lbs, had he worked to that cause, as did Holyfield.
@lggriffin Where do you ge t your info from. Charles wasn't in his prime at heavy. He was in his prime at Middle/Lt heavy. After moving up too Lt heavy Charle killed Sam Baroudi. After doing so he could no longer get a fight at Lt heavy. So he moved up again to Heavy. He didn't grow into a heavyweight. He was forced to do so t o make a living.
@RayPFP Thought u were out?! Man, the foolishness of ur statement is absurd! He wasn't in his "prime" as hvy? What's the greater prize, hvywt champ, or lt hvywt champ? What was the pinnacle of his career? What's harder to achieve? The questions, in themselves, give the answers! I'm sure Charles considered himself to be at his greatest when he won the hvywt championship, and then held off the great Joe Louis to validate it.He grew into a hvy & that is where he made his greatest mark in boxing
@lggriffin I';m getting bored with this schooling crap.Charles went 36-4 as a middle . That alone is m ore fights then Cooney ever had at any weight ok. After killing Sam Baroudi all of his fights were at heavy. He went 20-1 as a light heavy and 42 -22 as a heavyweight. So he was certainly on the way down as a heavy. He beat Louis but Louis was on ly a shell of himself.
@RayPFP You have a funny way of looking at it. I say he wasn't on his way down. He was at his BEST as a hvy. His record wasn't as good against the heavies becuz he was fighting in the toughest weight class; against bigger, stronger, better opposition. You don't think that it's harder to compete against hvywts, as opposed to middle and light heavies? Doesn't that make sense to u, seriously? If not, exactly what is your background in boxing, other than watching fights on youtube?
@lggriffin It wasn't so much the heavies. It was more his wear and tear as a fighter. He was on the decline at heavy. He was at his best not at middle or heavy but at Lt heavy.
@RayPFP That's ur opinion, which seems to based on ur observation of his record & fights against opposition within the 3 weight classes. However no one is going to impose more wear and tear upon a fighter than the heavies, which is why he lost moreso in that division. And where he was(wghtclass), at his best, can be gauged by where he did his best as a boxer;in the rankings, and in title possessions. With the higher weight class considered the higher achievement. Any fighter will agree w/this.
@RayPFP U were on the Louis Vs Marciano 2:54 minute video site today, why don't u go back and read everything that was said about 185lbs Rocky's Marciano's measured punching power on the ballistic pendulum(1000 ft pounds), and how it was higher than 245 lbs Frank Bruno's(800 ft pounds), and how Bruno's one-punch shot, in the mid-1980's was higher than Foreman's & Tyson's. @RayPFP These "shop worn" fighters, as you call them, were the only fighters skilled enough to evade marciano. He would have no problem with sluggers, who would've foolishly walked into his power. Charley Goldman was right "Nobody could beat Marciano coming to him". Ali, Louis, Dempsey, Foreman, Frazier, walcott, and Goldman all agreed on marciano's greatness. However youtube boxing analyst think they know better. Go figure!
@lggriffin First off I never said the Rock had a middleweight frame. I said that Charles was an ex middle with a middleweights frame. Second I don't care what Charley Goldman Ron Goldman, or any other Goldman said. Foreman would walk through Marciano without any problems and Ko him in 1. Bruno does the samething. Frazier left hook would mascre Marcaino. Frazier himself said he would beat Marciano with little t o no trouble.Prime Walcott would beat him and prime Louis who was yes "shop worn".
@RayPFP U forgot to say In "your opinion", which doesn't count 4 much anyway - becuz no one actually "cares" wut u say! RM had greater one-punch power than all of them, a far better defense and stamina than GF, under fire (as in Lyle fight), and a far better chin than Bruno. Frazier was tough, but he was blind in his left eye, making him a sucker for an overhand right, and his chin betrayed him against big punchers. Rocky had the biggest punch, there's no way Joe could've stood w/him!
@RayPFP Let me think...top tier puncher, how about Joe Louis? Shopworn or not, time doesn't rob a puncher of the big punch! He backed away bcz he knew Rocky had superior firepower. Louis had only lost 2 bouts going into that fight and had a 7 win streak going against top rated fighters. A 45 yr old Foreman ko'ed Moorer to win the title, but had he been stopped by Moorer, people would've been sayin;' "he was a shell of the ol' GF",or that he was "shopworn". It's really bcz Moorer was no Marciano!
@RayPFP Is this the other fight in which Marciano was given a gift decision? I know Lowry beat Marciano in one of their fights but was robbed, is this the other fight that is well documented to be a robbery? I think I had heard once Charles was robbed and from these highlights Charles really gave Marciano all he could handle...
@jennifer8970 Yes,this is one of 3 pro fights that the Rock received a gift decision. Lowry 1,Lastarza 1, Charles1.All of press row had Lowry winning 6-4. Where would the Rock be alltime if he went on to lose a much deserved loss?48-1 ?Who talks about him after that?losing to a fighter with just a s many losses as wins?
@lggriffin Louis was shot. He was nearly 38 and IRS stripped him of every penny he had. He had to train in his backyard with his little son because he could n't afford a gym or trainer.Google that incase you don't know ..Louis fought 8 fights in 8 months before fight ing Marcaino. How many fighters in their prime do that today? I know Ali defended ti tle 5 ttimes alone in 66.Took Marciano 4 years to come up wi th 6 defenses?Against some of the oldest fighters in the history of the game?
@RayPFP You asked about top tier punchers, didn't you? And Moore, Charles, Walcott, and Louis were all top tier punchers. Time doesn't rob a puncher of his punch, and big George is the biggest testament to that statement. Any one of those guys hit hard enough to ko anyone at any point in their careers. All of those fighters were exceptional; especially Walcott, who peaked late & had his best fight ever against RM. Everyone of them had better skill, but Rocky evened things up w/his power. ,
@lggriffin I asked about "prime"top tier punchers. Now you're twisting my words around.. Walcott wasn't prime at 38 or 39. If he was he wouldn't of retired. No he was on the way down not on the way up.. Rock was trailing entire fight and on the verge of losing. 12 round fight the old man wins.
@RayPFP I say Walcott WAS in HIS prime for Marciano! It was far & away the best fight, best performance in his entire career! His movement, speed, timing & punch power were best ever for this fight! Every man peaks differently, there is no set age where people "peak" collectively. We are individuals & everyone differs here. Sergio Martinez, @36yoa, when most mdlwts R retired, is in HIS peak right now! He only retired after he was destroyed by RM. He was psychologically finished!
@RayPFP (cont.) "12 round fight, old man wins" U think u win debate by injecting an ex post facto fictional reality into a bygone event that is already history? It's like saying; If Moorer ducked, Foreman loses! It's foolish and proves nothing... and adds nothing ! Didn't happen, couldn't happen, wouldn't happen! That's not even subjective speculation, it's just adding an element of fantasy!
@RayPFP WOW, you hit it right on the dot. Marciano's best career opposition were Louis-37, Walcott-39, Charles-33, Moore-41...thats an average of 37 year old fighters...only 6 title defenses....not to mention a padded record filled with fights against club fighters and guys who had only 1 fight ever as pros...49-0 is misleading
Ex Middle Ezzard Charles held his own against the Rock. Not bad for a guy who was stopped at middle before moving up to Lt heavy and eventually Heavy were he put up a great showing.
@RayPFP U R selling Charles short! He was a great fighter & was a true hvywt (heavier than), Marciano when he faced him. Charles could do everything well; including punch! Does he look overblown here to u,or is he a trim hvy? It's what they grow into, not where they started from.Cooney won the NY Gloves as a middle, & Holyfield started as a lt.Hvy, but had no problem slapping Mike "Baddest Man On The Planet" Tyson around, or GF for that matter! Don't attempt to demean Marciano, Charles was GREAT!
@lggriffin Charles wasn't s true heavy. He began pro career at middle.Marciano wasn't a heavy either. He was a crusier. He had the body frame of a middle not a heavy..
@lggriffin Cooney began pro career at 208.So he was heavy when he turned pro, Holy wasn't.MIke was inactive from 91-96 only having 4 fights in 5 years when he faced Holy.Holy never had the layoff, advantage Holy.Holy was also an Olympic fighter who was robbed of Gold Medal. Mike Spinks was a gold medal winner. You saw what happene d to Mike Spinks when he fought a young Tyson. Charles was great at one time but was fading when he fought the Rock. He was ko'ed at middle.
also ali danced in every fight in his prime whoever he was in with.and he was in with huge punchers at that time.and yes boxing has changed since louis era thats pretty obvious when u look at how fighters back then fought and how styles have changed, and theres not even a question that there much bigger nowadays than back then...and im glad u dnt wana continue the discussion cos u cant accept someone having a different opinion.later
and i dnt kno who ur referring to, who stood up to a prime louis combos?doesnt really matter since it certainly wasnt marciano since he faced a shot old louis. my point was about marciano against fighters who came after him..bigger by height ,weight and reach some jus as tough, harder hitters came after aswell..
marciano took punches off cruiserweights not 210 + heavies at their best weight..i cud also go on n on,but in short theres no comparison in terms of size and skill from 60s onwards..
I loved this HL video, I'm a big marciano fan and this vid really impressed me. Of course I have seen this whole fight but I wish I could have seen the fight at this quality, this quality makes me appreciate marciano and charles even more. Many talk about marciano's power, toughness, heart, but what always impressed me most about him was his incredible stamina. His fitness is something one cannot help but admire. In a hard fight with non-stop action, to put on that flurry in the 15th, AMAZING!!
Charles was a light heavyweight fighter (never champion in that division) who rose up one weight division. He gave Marciano a hell of a fight. He was able to take everything Rocky threw at him and was able to repeatedly hit & wobble Marciano. He stands 6 feet tall. Imagine if Rocky (190 lbs) fought the great champions Ali, Foreman, Liston, Holmes, Tyson, Hollyfield, and Lewis who weighed more than 215 lbs in their prime. Rocky would never have a chance. But Rocky was the best in his era.
@csdr0 Actually Marciano would send Ali to the nearest hospital if they ever fought,he would punish Foreman and liston if they didnt score an early knockout,he would shit on Holmes,Tyson would duck him,Lewis would turn the fight into a holdfest. And im 100% sure that all of them when they saw this fight on tape said "Thank god this guy wasnt in my era"
@mimhshaha i'm not sure about that marciano was a little heavyweight him hangin with ali, foreman, tyson, liston and lewis is possible but at 188 pounds most of his career i would say he would get fucked up i like marciano he was truly great but he was to little for those guys but i could be wrong he did have those heavy hands and a heart of a warrior so it is possible.
@AliRidah619 Fact is that we ll never know. But when u see marciano laughing and probably just walking home after a 15 round slugfest with Charles,u realise there was something unique about him.But i also believe those 49 fights was his limit.U cant keep fighting with Marciano's style in top level for ever, history showed it(Frazier,Morrison,Tyson).
@mimhshaha -i very much doubt ali wud have had trouble with his power and chin when he took punches of bigger hitters who outweighed marciano by atleast 10-20 pounds.not too mention his short reach and height getting by half them fighters u mentioned great jabs wud be difficult.he did the best with what he had but fought in a different era.light heavies or past there primes for the most part.nt his fault ofcourse jus bad timing but he was getting hurt of much lighter men than ones u mentioned
@sugarnadf Foreman could hit harder than marciano for...3 rounds?Does this make him bigger hitter? My grandma with her bag was more accurate than shaver's power punches.Frazier that floored Ali was bigger hitter than Foreman?Would prime(i guess the williams fight) ali dance after 4-5 rounds of body punishment from Marciano or Tyson? Was jimmy young better tactician than Charles?Would Foreman win a peak Frazier?Dont be a sheep judge on your own w/o youtube "boxing experts" opinions.
@sugarnadf Was henry cooper heavier or even close as good as that past prime wallcott? How many gift decision were given to keep Ali on top?Would any heavyweight from any era still stand on his feet after a combination from a prime Joe Louis?Damn i can keep doing this forever so i stop here.Peace.
@mimhshaha -yea gifts when he was past his prime and already showing sign of slurred speech..im no sheep so keep the insults to urself..charles didnt have a punch, foreman did beat a prime frazier and as he proved in his come back he cud punch hard for much longer.. alis ability to dance wasnt affected by bigger punchers like liston, chuvalo foreman suggest otherwise..n frazier...marciano got outboxed by lesser fighters than ali..not to mention he wud have to b able to hit ali which is hard enough
@sugarnadf Yes ali's ability to dance wasnt affected by foreman for sure cause he never danced that night i have to aggree with u on that.Frazier wasnt in his prime neither in the best condition when he fought foreman(even foreman mention it in an interview).I mentioned Joe Louis to make u understand that u see a gap between eras that doesnt exist.A prime Joe Louis would be on top in any era.I cant make a discussion with some1 that rates chuvalo as harder puncher than marciano.
@mimhshaha -typical know it all attitude cant take some1 disagreeing...marciano i believe hit harder actually but he was a huge puncher on a p4p basis maybe one of the hardest in history..but like i said getting hit by guys as strong as the likes of chuvalo ,with his size and strength who arent as affected by ur punches, weigh the same if not more than u and letting them hit u like ali did chuvalo makes me think that 185 pound marciano wouldnt b a shock to alis system.
one last thing chuvalo average weight approx 220lbs 73 wins 64 ko's approx 88% ko ratio,
marciano average weight approx 190lbs 49 wins 43 ko's 88% ratio, these are FACTS!
so p4p marciano hitting harder u could make the argument...but guy who weighs more by 30lbs and has same percentage of knockouts as a heavyweight would probably hurt u a bit more than the other,n if u cant have a discussion becos i think chuavlo hit harder after seeing that then do me a fav n dont reply
CONT'D: The Brockton Blockbuster truely embodies his greatness with one single display: AT 8:25 OF THIS VIDEO, SECONDS from the completion of the fight, Rocky Marciano lands his dreaded OVERHAND right with full force. No boxer alive or dead ever possessed the fitness to accomplish this feat.
That was one goddamn brutal ass fuckin fight, man. They don't make boxers like that anymore. Charles was the only man to last 15 rounds with Marciano. I don't know what in the hell was keeping him up. Talk about a steel chin.
....I love the little flash effects you put in, and how you used them sparingly (perfect!) and resisting the urge to go overboard. I'd love to see you do a complete career HL of Rocky. I think it'll be good for people like myself, who don't know too much about him.
@gorillaproductions03 Thanks a lot GP. I have a short montage highlight I'm in the process in with Marciano (bout 2min). I also have a bit of a longer tribute for him as well (4min). I don't know if I could ever do a complete career HL with the type of storytelling you do. At least it would be a huge challenge but it could be feasible. It's especially harder with older fighters because of less footage, and less personal anecdotes, press conferences, and media statements. I'll keep in mind though
I've never seen this fight before, nor do I know too much about Marciano. But it's definately about time I do start learning. Excellent job with the video Pete, one I imagine was a difficult task (as it's an old fight). Which is kinda the reason why I've stayed away from classics, I wouldn't really know where to start. But this is your territory, one that you're nailing.....
@gorillaproductions03 It's an exciting fight for the 5 rounds we see. Editing a Marciano fight, especially this one where he throws non-stop punches is a pain and a pleasure just to watch. I just let the fight and action do the talking, and tried not to overstep things. Amazing how much longer it ended up, though. Music can be a bit of a pain, especially with older fights. Glad you enjoyed man. This one seemed to be more difficult than the other ones.. even though there wasn't too much to it.

RayPFP 10 months ago
@RayPFP You asked about top tier punchers, didn't you? And Moore, Charles, Walcott, and Louis were all top tier punchers. Time doesn't rob a puncher of his punch, and big George is the biggest testament to that statement. Any one of those guys hit hard enough to ko anyone at any point in their careers. All of those fighters were exceptional; especially Walcott, who peaked late & had his best fight ever against RM. Everyone of them had better skill, but Rocky evened things up w/his power. ,
lggriffin 10 months ago
@lggriffin I asked about "prime"top tier punchers. Now you're twisting my words around.. Walcott wasn't prime at 38 or 39. If he was he wouldn't of retired. No he was on the way down not on the way up.. Rock was trailing entire fight and on the verge of losing. 12 round fight the old man wins.
RayPFP 10 months ago

That's not even subjective speculation, it's just adding an element of fantasy!
lggriffin 10 months ago
@RayPFP WOW, you hit it right on the dot. Marciano's best career opposition were Louis-37, Walcott-39, Charles-33, Moore-41...thats an average of 37 year old fighters...only 6 title defenses....not to mention a padded record filled with fights against club fighters and guys who had only 1 fight ever as pros...49-0 is misleading

Would of loved to see Rock face a top tier prime puncher.
RayPFP 10 months ago
Ex Middle Ezzard Charles held his own against the Rock. Not bad for a guy who was stopped at middle before moving up to Lt heavy and eventually Heavy were he put up a great showing.
RayPFP 10 months ago
@RayPFP U R selling Charles short! He was a great fighter & was a true hvywt (heavier than), Marciano when he faced him. Charles could do everything well; including punch! Does he look overblown here to u,or is he a trim hvy? It's what they grow into, not where they started from.Cooney won the NY Gloves as a middle, & Holyfield started as a lt.Hvy, but had no problem slapping Mike "Baddest Man On The Planet" Tyson around, or GF for that matter! Don't attempt to demean Marciano, Charles was GREAT!
lggriffin 10 months ago
@lggriffin Charles wasn't s true heavy. He began pro career at middle.Marciano wasn't a heavy either. He was a crusier. He had the body frame of a middle not a heavy..
RayPFP 10 months ago
@lggriffin Cooney began pro career at 208.So he was heavy when he turned pro, Holy wasn't.MIke was inactive from 91-96 only having 4 fights in 5 years when he faced Holy.Holy never had the layoff, advantage Holy.Holy was also an Olympic fighter who was robbed of Gold Medal. Mike Spinks was a gold medal winner. You saw what happene d to Mike Spinks when he fought a young Tyson. Charles was great at one time but was fading when he fought the Rock. He was ko'ed at middle.

whoops marciano avreage weight wasnt even 190 it was more like between 185-187..and chuvalos between 215-220 but u get the idea ;)
bye

also ali danced in every fight in his prime whoever he was in with.and he was in with huge punchers at that time.and yes boxing has changed since louis era thats pretty obvious when u look at how fighters back then fought and how styles have changed, and theres not even a question that there much bigger nowadays than back then...and im glad u dnt wana continue the discussion cos u cant accept someone having a different opinion.later
sugarnadf 1 year ago
and i dnt kno who ur referring to, who stood up to a prime louis combos?doesnt really matter since it certainly wasnt marciano since he faced a shot old louis. my point was about marciano against fighters who came after him..bigger by height ,weight and reach some jus as tough, harder hitters came after aswell..
marciano took punches off cruiserweights not 210 + heavies at their best weight..i cud also go on n on,but in short theres no comparison in terms of size and skill from 60s onwards..

What a great fight, do not understand why the second became 'fight of the year' and not this one
primeboxers 1 year ago
Charles was a light heavyweight fighter (never champion in that division) who rose up one weight division. He gave Marciano a hell of a fight. He was able to take everything Rocky threw at him and was able to repeatedly hit & wobble Marciano. He stands 6 feet tall. Imagine if Rocky (190 lbs) fought the great champions Ali, Foreman, Liston, Holmes, Tyson, Hollyfield, and Lewis who weighed more than 215 lbs in their prime. Rocky would never have a chance. But Rocky was the best in his era.
csdr0 1 year ago
@csdr0 Actually Marciano would send Ali to the nearest hospital if they ever fought,he would punish Foreman and liston if they didnt score an early knockout,he would shit on Holmes,Tyson would duck him,Lewis would turn the fight into a holdfest. And im 100% sure that all of them when they saw this fight on tape said "Thank god this guy wasnt in my era"
mimhshaha 1 year ago
@mimhshaha i'm not sure about that marciano was a little heavyweight him hangin with ali, foreman, tyson, liston and lewis is possible but at 188 pounds most of his career i would say he would get fucked up i like marciano he was truly great but he was to little for those guys but i could be wrong he did have those heavy hands and a heart of a warrior so it is possible.
AliRidah619 1 year ago
@AliRidah619 Fact is that we ll never know. But when u see marciano laughing and probably just walking home after a 15 round slugfest with Charles,u realise there was something unique about him.But i also believe those 49 fights was his limit.U cant keep fighting with Marciano's style in top level for ever, history showed it(Frazier,Morrison,Tyson).

@mimhshaha very good point.
AliRidah619 1 year ago
@mimhshaha -i very much doubt ali wud have had trouble with his power and chin when he took punches of bigger hitters who outweighed marciano by atleast 10-20 pounds.not too mention his short reach and height getting by half them fighters u mentioned great jabs wud be difficult.he did the best with what he had but fought in a different era.light heavies or past there primes for the most part.nt his fault ofcourse jus bad timing but he was getting hurt of much lighter men than ones u mentioned
sugarnadf 1 year ago
@sugarnadf Foreman could hit harder than marciano for...3 rounds?Does this make him bigger hitter? My grandma with her bag was more accurate than shaver's power punches.Frazier that floored Ali was bigger hitter than Foreman?Would prime(i guess the williams fight) ali dance after 4-5 rounds of body punishment from Marciano or Tyson? Was jimmy young better tactician than Charles?Would Foreman win a peak Frazier?Dont be a sheep judge on your own w/o youtube "boxing experts" opinions.
mimhshaha 1 year ago
@sugarnadf Was henry cooper heavier or even close as good as that past prime wallcott? How many gift decision were given to keep Ali on top?Would any heavyweight from any era still stand on his feet after a combination from a prime Joe Louis?Damn i can keep doing this forever so i stop here.Peace.
mimhshaha 1 year ago
@mimhshaha -yea gifts when he was past his prime and already showing sign of slurred speech..im no sheep so keep the insults to urself..charles didnt have a punch, foreman did beat a prime frazier and as he proved in his come back he cud punch hard for much longer.. alis ability to dance wasnt affected by bigger punchers like liston, chuvalo foreman suggest otherwise..n frazier...marciano got outboxed by lesser fighters than ali..not to mention he wud have to b able to hit ali which is hard enough
sugarnadf 1 year ago
@sugarnadf Yes ali's ability to dance wasnt affected by foreman for sure cause he never danced that night i have to aggree with u on that.Frazier wasnt in his prime neither in the best condition when he fought foreman(even foreman mention it in an interview).I mentioned Joe Louis to make u understand that u see a gap between eras that doesnt exist.A prime Joe Louis would be on top in any era.I cant make a discussion with some1 that rates chuvalo as harder puncher than marciano.
mimhshaha 1 year ago
@mimhshaha -typical know it all attitude cant take some1 disagreeing...marciano i believe hit harder actually but he was a huge puncher on a p4p basis maybe one of the hardest in history..but like i said getting hit by guys as strong as the likes of chuvalo ,with his size and strength who arent as affected by ur punches, weigh the same if not more than u and letting them hit u like ali did chuvalo makes me think that 185 pound marciano wouldnt b a shock to alis system.
sugarnadf 1 year ago
one last thing chuvalo average weight approx 220lbs 73 wins 64 ko's approx 88% ko ratio,
marciano average weight approx 190lbs 49 wins 43 ko's 88% ratio, these are FACTS!
so p4p marciano hitting harder u could make the argument...but guy who weighs more by 30lbs and has same percentage of knockouts as a heavyweight would probably hurt u a bit more than the other,n if u cant have a discussion becos i think chuavlo hit harder after seeing that then do me a fav n dont reply

I think it'll be good for people like myself, who don't know too much about him.
gorillaproductions03 1 year ago 6

But this is your territory, one that you're nailing.....
gorillaproductions03 1 year ago
@gorillaproductions03 It's an exciting fight for the 5 rounds we see. Editing a Marciano fight, especially this one where he throws non-stop punches is a pain and a pleasure just to watch. I just let the fight and action do the talking, and tried not to overstep things. Amazing how much longer it ended up, though. Music can be a bit of a pain, especially with older fights. Glad you enjoyed man. This one seemed to be more difficult than the other ones.. even though there wasn't too much to it.
