Thanks, this interview explained nothing about when the movie is supposed to be finished and released....not even the year. The only reason Poison was allowed on Crue's stage was purely economic: Poison sold a ton of records back in the 80's and their 50 yr old fans have more money than broke 30 yr old God Smack or Papa Roach fans. They just added in the NY Dolls for some "street cred".

Reinventing your audience is smart as far as marketing, but there are still an ASSLOAD of original fans who are getting older, who LOVE the old 80's stuff. This year's show was one of my favorite shows I've seen the Crue do. It was AWESOME and I hope ya'll do it again. Minus the dolls. They were so bad we didn't even stop tailgating to go in and see them. They sucked. Worse than sucked.

I like Nikki, but that's about it for the band, the rest just don't do it for me. And to call your book the '...the worlds most notorious rock band' is utter shit. You don't hold a candle to Metallica or Pantera. Or a number of American (and Euro) metal bands for that matter, that blow your technical skill out the water, Slash comes to mind.

This band has a real ego...

I've disliked them since I saw them live and they exited the stage early flippin' off the crowd, and spitting into it. D-bags.

I really think it's a GREAT idea not to have any "known" actors for the movie. Today way too much focus is put on the actors because they are celebrity's, a lot of movies made today is just forgotten for what they actually are, and people and media are just interested in the actors and not the movie it self. It would be really interesting to see new, fresh and talented actors play Nikki, Tommy, Vince and Mars. Looking forward to see the movie!

Thanks for the interview. It explains a lot about how Poison/Crue actually made the tour happen. I heard a lot of Crue fans didn't like Poison but I loved both bands & wanted to see them both. I got my wish last week in St. Louis. If you are willing to tour with a group that a segment of people really want to see, you'll gain even more fans. Glad I got to see them both at one venue.
