Hello My Friends... I´m from Venezuela.. I´m interested in Robotics so much like your way for hacking - innovations - over all in your DIY Projects.. but i wish to can to hear the videos in spanish (my mother´s language).I can to read in english even to understand so little . Ustedes deberían publicar sus videos en varios idiomas, ademas que sería mayor la cantidad de fans y mejor la compresión de los proyectos planteados.
Thanks you so much.... i hope will quick your answer
i sure know what it feels like to wait for the mailman! that and constantly rechecking the tracking numbers on your packages! i get so many packages to my door..i love to get boxes :>
Anyone who want to start making robots, I recommend you go on eBay and buy an Arduino Duemilanove. They deliver to virtually every country in the world, including Brazil. These microcontrollers are cheap, easy to program, and almost ready to use. Buy two comum motors and a Dual H-Bridge Shield, and you have your robot! I did it, and it was really really easy.
@h2oreactor Good point - practically speaking, I should probably start with something like the multiwii or kkmulticopter.
The problem is that I really, really want to mount my Canon DSLR to the copter, which requires a more elaborate air frame (MikroKopter/DroidWorx), camera mount, stepper motors, etc. Buying something ready to fly is 6-10k for what I want but I would rather build it myself for a couple thousand less.
@fritslyneborg ...or maybe you are like Einstein! They say that all the clothes he owned were the same, so that he didn´t have to waste brain capacity thinking what to wear each day! (You should go with this version).
I really like that kite idea, i might guild that because it is always windy where i live. and YES please tell us many more ideas because i need to know where to start...
How to program a microcontroller (PIC or ATMEL) without deep knowledge his of the architecture (Registers, Adresses...)
I know how to program very well but I can not find a "simple" solution to this program (which program to use, which compiler... ) could you cover that topic a bit :)
@DangerDestiny probably best to start with an arduino. The book "getting started with arduino" is a very gentle introduction to to the platform. Nerdkit is a more hardcore approach and is "closer to the metal".
@DangerDestiny I agree with firehandszarb about the Arduino, but I would like to add to that the PICAXE microcontroller, which provides a Basic-like programming language. It is easy to get started.
If you want an easy robot project using PICAXE, visit the LetsMakeRobots site and click 'Start Here'.
@DangerDestiny Registers, Adresses, Instructions set... ect, are the most important thing to learn to program a microccontroler. Things like SPI, IC2, USART ect... can look very complicated at the begining but in fact, it is very simple and this kind of feature of a microcontroler is extremely usefull. Also most of the devices that you will attach to the microcontroler work with SPI or IC2 such as external RAM or multiple microcontroler connected together.
@rc18trocks Remember when people weren't total assholes? MakeMagezine moved up a notch for actual makers. If you want tutorials, sub to kipkay. OR GO TO INSTRUCTABLES.
I think that this is a great idea. I am always looking for ideas for new projects. I also like the format you did this in, having a couple easier projects as well as one or two harder ones. I look forward to seeing more of your ideas.
Fritz!!!! Your episodes are getting better every week!! You are finally showing us that You do know A LOT about robots!!!! Not gonna lie though. I do miss Andrew. :-)
@appterranova Yeah I just like giving him a hard time haha. I want to see You make a video showing us your robots and stuff similar to the past couple videos!
Keep the ideas coming Frits, I'm sure they will be inspirational. Also, instead of doing tutorials, you can describe how you got into hobby robotics and what your first projects were. I am pretty sure that you weren't spoonfed with tutorials, you just started a project and learned what has to be learned (and more) for that project. I know, because that's what happened to me :D
im sure he could make tutorials but i think what he means to say is that he doesn't have time people need to work
then money for supplies possibly maybe when he starts a project he could take picture and little clips to show us the progress but it all depends on again time :\
C'mon I'm just 17, alone and I make videos, not robotics but its How-To and other shit on my channel, how can't you make a tutorial, you don't need a crew.
Can you make a robot which I can put into my house gutters (using a long pole) - it will start at one end and chuck all the dirt out and then finish at the other end when I can retrieve it with a long pole and hook. This is much safer than climbing a ladder and then having to keep moving it.
cant you make a tutorial on the remote and how to make robots for it please please please, you don't need a crew for it i mean kipkay does one man tutorials so why cant you?
@epicfilmclips KipKay is showing simple projects. A robot needs many components, and programming. It takes days to make a robot, but it takes hours to tune a laser to pop a balloon ;) KipKay is doing different things than robots - I would need an extra life (or a team) to make a robot every week, and make a video with instructions. And a video of programming a robot would be... A video on how to make and program a robot, do the electronics, lasting 3-6 minutes would be no good :)
@epicfilmclips Dude! Shut the fuck up! Stop pestering the guy. He said he doesn't have time so he doesn't have fucking time! Let it go. As it is, KipKay does a tut once a month so shut up and leave if you have a problem with it. Fucking troll
@epicfilmclips he probably has another job or perhaps an active social life. the point of making is that you figure it out yourself, thats what makes it fun.
@EZtrollin yeah i know but i cant figure it out if i don't know what to do its not like if i keep screwing around with electric engines i magically know how to make an rc vehicle. so i cant start figuring things out if i have no starting point if he makes the tutorial or if i find another one i have a starting point to build projects with.
@epicfilmclips Actually, most tutorial builds are built twice if not three times because they want to make sure they knock out the bugs and details in their DIY before they post it. At least with proffessional bloggers.
@epicfilmclips a remote is very complicated and expensive, why not buy it? with the receiver, servos, motors, check out wwwDOThobbypartzDOTcom they sell the remote and the receiver for like 30 bucks + shipping, they also sell servos (like arms that move with the remote) you just connect the servos to the receiver, and power up the receiver with 4 AA batteries and you're ready to see those little things moving...
where coud i get the link for the remote control?
