  • where coud i get the link for the remote control?

  • Hello My Friends... I´m from Venezuela.. I´m interested in Robotics so much like your way for hacking - innovations - over all in your DIY Projects.. but i wish to can to hear the videos in spanish (my mother´s language).I can to read in english even to understand so little . Ustedes deberían publicar sus videos en varios idiomas, ademas que sería mayor la cantidad de fans y mejor la compresión de los proyectos planteados.

Thanks you so much.... i hope will quick your answer

  • Thumps up if your watching this at 1:01 in the morning! XD

  • sky lipo for kite

  • Yes! Nice ideas, thanks!

  • I like this...... keep idea videos coming!!!

  • can u post videos that are concentrating on one project and not the stupid make live things and the latest in whatever

  • waiting for robot parts to come always makes it feel like Christmas :D

  • hej frits kan man købe make: i danmark ?

    /Jacob

  • i like them

  • that is a realy nice to make a remote control kite:D!

  • @vv41zx but then it wouldnt be a kite.. it would be an rc plane

  • Make more videos:-)

  • Sfx are really annoying

  • i sure know what it feels like to wait for the mailman! that and constantly rechecking the tracking numbers on your packages! i get so many packages to my door..i love to get boxes :>

  • thx man i make my own robot and skeard my teacher !!!

wen she comed in the cllas room !!!!!!!!!

    :D

  • show us your flying robot again!!

  • I suggest you have some relative knowledge on programming - if not, get started :D :D

  • Anyone who want to start making robots, I recommend you go on eBay and buy an Arduino Duemilanove. They deliver to virtually every country in the world, including Brazil. These microcontrollers are cheap, easy to program, and almost ready to use. Buy two comum motors and a Dual H-Bridge Shield, and you have your robot! I did it, and it was really really easy.

  • DENMARK! oh fuck.. OUTSIDE ON THE YARD!

  • I would love to see the kite in a video ;)

  • Thanks for answers :)

  • great job buddy!

  • You should have never mentioned the multicopters. I'm trying to figure out how to come up with several grand now. :|

  • @Supralobe, real men dont buy thousand dollars multicopters, they build them cheap instead, look at multiwii and kkmulticopter. :)

  • @h2oreactor Good point - practically speaking, I should probably start with something like the multiwii or kkmulticopter.

The problem is that I really, really want to mount my Canon DSLR to the copter, which requires a more elaborate air frame (MikroKopter/DroidWorx), camera mount, stepper motors, etc. Buying something ready to fly is 6-10k for what I want but I would rather build it myself for a couple thousand less.

  • Can I make robots? Probably not.

But if I could I'd want to make a spider-bot but with a human torso. Also I'd make it pretty.

  • Hey Frits,

Isn´t that the same shirt you wore on the last episode? ;)

    Andrés

  • @andresbriano Could have been, but no :D

  • @fritslyneborg ...or maybe you are like Einstein! They say that all the clothes he owned were the same, so that he didn´t have to waste brain capacity thinking what to wear each day! (You should go with this version).

  • oh and they should make an ass scratching robot

  • kipkay's videos are more interesting.makemagazine should have him in all their videos

  • This video is pointless

  • I really like that kite idea, i might guild that because it is always windy where i live. and YES please tell us many more ideas because i need to know where to start...

  • I think it's fair to say that the random text and music overlays are unnecessary.

  • That kite idea is hella inspiring.

  • with some imagination we can make all he want and sheep

  • less talk more robots!

  • they have that

  • I have a big question !!!

How to program a microcontroller (PIC or ATMEL) without deep knowledge his of the architecture (Registers, Adresses...)

I know how to program very well but I can not find a "simple" solution to this program (which program to use, which compiler... ) could you cover that topic a bit :)

    Thanks in advance.

Folk's tumbs up so he can see this plz :)

  • @DangerDestiny probably best to start with an arduino. The book "getting started with arduino" is a very gentle introduction to to the platform. Nerdkit is a more hardcore approach and is "closer to the metal".

  • @DangerDestiny I agree with firehandszarb about the Arduino, but I would like to add to that the PICAXE microcontroller, which provides a Basic-like programming language. It is easy to get started.

If you want an easy robot project using PICAXE, visit the LetsMakeRobots site and click 'Start Here'.

  • @DangerDestiny can i suggest using Arduino? it's simple and has a lot of libraries

  • @DangerDestiny Registers, Adresses, Instructions set... ect, are the most important thing to learn to program a microccontroler. Things like SPI, IC2, USART ect... can look very complicated at the begining but in fact, it is very simple and this kind of feature of a microcontroler is extremely usefull. Also most of the devices that you will attach to the microcontroler work with SPI or IC2 such as external RAM or multiple microcontroler connected together.

  • great ideas! keep it up!!!

  • The idea with the kite is great.

    Tak Fitz

  • good ideas.

  • U look super hot today

  • remember when makemagazine actually showed us how to make stuff...

  • @rc18trocks LAwL stolen comments

    ur looking for thumb

  • @rc18trocks Remember when people weren't total assholes? MakeMagezine moved up a notch for actual makers. If you want tutorials, sub to kipkay. OR GO TO INSTRUCTABLES.

  • @prosper58 no i dont remember

  • I think that this is a great idea. I am always looking for ideas for new projects. I also like the format you did this in, having a couple easier projects as well as one or two harder ones. I look forward to seeing more of your ideas.

P.S. Anyone up for a robotic kite battle?

  • Fritz!!!! Your episodes are getting better every week!! You are finally showing us that You do know A LOT about robots!!!! Not gonna lie though. I do miss Andrew. :-)

  • @x9x9x9x9x9 Hey, thanks for the love! Don't worry, I'll be back soon enough!

    -Andrew (ignoblegnome on LetsMakeRobots)

P.S - I told you Frits knew what he was doing!

  • @appterranova Yeah I just like giving him a hard time haha. I want to see You make a video showing us your robots and stuff similar to the past couple videos!

  • i think a tutorial would be far more helpful than just "hey look at this robot"

    this is make magazine afterall

  • Keep it up!

  • Keep the ideas coming Frits, I'm sure they will be inspirational. Also, instead of doing tutorials, you can describe how you got into hobby robotics and what your first projects were. I am pretty sure that you weren't spoonfed with tutorials, you just started a project and learned what has to be learned (and more) for that project. I know, because that's what happened to me :D

  • man kan godt hører du er dansker nice nok :D

  • I want more househould item projects!

  • im sure he could make tutorials but i think what he means to say is that he doesn't have time people need to work

then money for supplies possibly maybe when he starts a project he could take picture and little clips to show us the progress but it all depends on again time :\

  • how do you program it to move with your iphone?

  • C'mon I'm just 17, alone and I make videos, not robotics but its How-To and other shit on my channel, how can't you make a tutorial, you don't need a crew.

  • 5 people tried to noscope the like button

  • Can you make a robot which I can put into my house gutters (using a long pole) - it will start at one end and chuck all the dirt out and then finish at the other end when I can retrieve it with a long pole and hook. This is much safer than climbing a ladder and then having to keep moving it.

  • @steve6375 I believe iRobot makes one like that if you are willing to spend the money. If you'd rather build it yourself, you can!

  • I would love if you make Tutorials !! Please do Tutorials how to make Robots. Please :)!

  • @TheSuperNico1 There are two tutorials posted (for ideas #1 and #2) right in the description of the video. Go check them out!

    -Andrew (ignoblegnome on LetsMakeRobots)

  • dude make that kite that would be so awesome!!!

  • You can't do everything with microcontrollers. Make a robot that can replicate itself.

  • @cobrachoppergirl I'm sure you can.

  • cant you make a tutorial on the remote and how to make robots for it please please please, you don't need a crew for it i mean kipkay does one man tutorials so why cant you?

  • @epicfilmclips kip kay gets $ for your views... make is not just a men... I think he does not get payed that well to do it :p

  • @epicfilmclips KipKay is showing simple projects. A robot needs many components, and programming. It takes days to make a robot, but it takes hours to tune a laser to pop a balloon ;) KipKay is doing different things than robots - I would need an extra life (or a team) to make a robot every week, and make a video with instructions. And a video of programming a robot would be... A video on how to make and program a robot, do the electronics, lasting 3-6 minutes would be no good :)

  • @fritslyneborg Depending on how much you build on your own, days could become months or years.

  • @epicfilmclips Dude! Shut the fuck up! Stop pestering the guy. He said he doesn't have time so he doesn't have fucking time! Let it go. As it is, KipKay does a tut once a month so shut up and leave if you have a problem with it. Fucking troll

  • @rydude998 lol

  • @epicfilmclips So you compare mini motorbikes made from cheap lighters with robots?

  • @MewesK don't just look at that tutorial, kipkay also made an automatic camera trap and way more cool robotic projects so

  • @epicfilmclips he probably has another job or perhaps an active social life. the point of making is that you figure it out yourself, thats what makes it fun.

  • Comment removed

  • @epicfilmclips I think he answered your request at 0:44

  • @epicfilmclips Tutorials like that are expensive.

  • @xhandbasketx i just know he has all the stuff needed for the tutorial

  • @epicfilmclips Actually, most tutorial builds are built twice if not three times because they want to make sure they knock out the bugs and details in their DIY before they post it. At least with proffessional bloggers.

  • @epicfilmclips maybe you sould ask kipkay to do them then. or spend a couple bucks and get make magazine, like he said if the first place.....

  • @gmartin5131 kipkay isn´t that active XD and in my country they dont sell it :(

  • @epicfilmclips buy it from makezine.com for a couple bucks.

  • @epicfilmclips Start with ICs or the arduino microcontoler online, it will help you understand

  • @epicfilmclips make an IR transmitter, use RF, or use a Xbee for the arduino

  • @Flea5000000000 is it bad that i don't know what any of that means?

  • @epicfilmclips a remote is very complicated and expensive, why not buy it? with the receiver, servos, motors, check out wwwDOThobbypartzDOTcom they sell the remote and the receiver for like 30 bucks + shipping, they also sell servos (like arms that move with the remote) you just connect the servos to the receiver, and power up the receiver with 4 AA batteries and you're ready to see those little things moving...

  • A robot that could clumb in rocky walls and inclined planes

  • Definitely more suggestions! And also how to hack old toys to make use with custom robots!

  • Are you from Denmark?

  • @MrOzzy99 yes he is

  • @MrOzzy99 yes, he is...

  • you're right, I've done most of the projects you mentioned. they really help get girls .... XD

  • ok then show us your robokite next show!

  • 204th

    WHO CARES:::::::

  • @fighter199212 I don't know man::::::::::

  • Kite with remote controlled flamethrower... I win!

  • you sound dutch

  • cool

  • first!!!!!

  • ok

  • 11th

  • 9th

  • no im 8th. balls
