Point Blank...We are Bankrupt. Our dollar is not worth the ink it took to print it. There are some "sheep" who now, at this late hour are waking up to the realization that the electorate, whom the sheep thought had done all the foot-work of studying all these issues out, really didn't, and do not now, have their best interest at heart. Imagine their surprise! Time to wake up America!!!!
America needs to end the federal reserve bank, use a gold or silver backed currency issued by acts of congress, rebuild manufacturing, regulate corparations, support local economies (buy local small farm produce and meat) regulate corparations and STOP CONSUMING SO MUCH!
Talk to ANYBODY that has tried to open a business or even better, anybody who has tried to open a factory. Labor union takes their chunk, insurance takes its chunk, city permits and licenses, employement depts takes its chunk, taxes take its chunk, high labor costs, ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO RUN A FACTORY IN THE US with SO MUCH OVERHEAD. We are dead meat. Learn chinese.
it is completely sad and wasteful arguing with each other. we should be be angy and we should organize and join everyone in protest and make them listen. it is not enough just to teach but most importantly to act.
I think enough of us agree that the federal government does not represent the interests of the people, but rather the banks and corporations. However, nothing will change, NOTHING! Until the people organize and revolt. O'bama lied to the people and we simply cannot wait three more years to vote his ass out of office. Besides, the political system at the Federal level is broken and corrupt. THE TIME FOR ACTION IS NOW!!!
What "action" are you suggesting? (1) Raising taxes and cut spending but 2-figured percentages? Or (2) just "some .. kind.. of action... you know...."?
eating is a PERFECT analogy. Consumption is eating. Our nation is a Service / consumption nation. ASK ANY PERSON OVER 40 YEARS OLD. This country was once a manufacturing powerhouse and our glorious country was covered in Factories. Factories that produced goods that other countries / and ourselves actually wanted. THERE ARE NO MORE FACTORIES! We are a service nation now and instead of our kids working in a factory producing a product, our kids work in Starbucks, as nurses, or government jobs!
Its not as simple as just saying open factories. What will they produce? Perhaps begin MASS PRODUCING wind turbines, solar panels, hybrid vehicles, and other products of actual value that the world wants to buy from us in all the empty GM factories and similar. Reality is, why can't we produce our own stuff and consume our own stuff. Right now we send CHINA dollars China sends us their products. Think of a business. Who is doing better? The one selling you the product, or the one consuming it
Well thats capitalism. Whoever does something the best will get the job. And as Chinese workers do it better (cheaper) they get the job. On the other hand if you (USA) develop the technology then you can sell that. Even thought the production is in China you make money (think of the Ipod for example). Thats a much better idea.
He is referring to our trade deficit. Our economy is based on credit and services. Not much production going on. We use lots of credit to purchase foreign goods. People always say China needs us to prop up their economy but they are wrong if they didn't lend us money to buy their goods their own standard of living would go up. The statement shouldn't be taken as anti American. You have to listen to his video blogs more to understand. Its based on economics. The guy is a patriot :)
He isn't saying we consume too much. He is saying we consume too much in relation to what we produce. He is basically making a point that our standard of living is a lot lower then appears. This due to devaluing of the dollar of the course of many years
Well - yes - I totally agree with the idea that we have for too long not been producing - only borrowing. The island analogy I think is not a good way to explain the subject...
Its actually basic economics. Lets say the supply of goods globally is fixed. The world produces most of them. We borrow money from the world to buy those goods increasing demand making them more expressive. Much of this borrowing comes through financing our government. Increasing OUR standard of living. If the world didn't lend us the money they would both have more money to buy those goods and improve their own standard of living We would have less thus ending our artificial standard of living
The analogy is sound. Its just hard to grasp if you don't listen to him often or understand Austrian economics. Keynesian economists are in denial of it because most are socialists and don't want to decrease spending.
So this scenario does exist in the real world. I do think we have a right to consume what we like. Thing is the world can cut up our credit card too. We also have an artificial standard of living due to the fractional reserve banking system that allows banks to lend 10 times as much money as they really have. All credit in effect is printing money this way. This is giving us a high standard of living at a cost of our future standard of living. Inflation is the result.
It won't if they cut up our credit card. Weather or not they know they are hurting both us and themselves yet is to be seen. I think they are catching on. The dollar is losing its value and waking them up to the scam. We can't keep printing it. We are lowering our own standard of living since we gave that power to banks. The Federal Reserve scam.
wow very powerful video

Let me get this straight. You think the solution in to build more factories?

I meant to say lower then it appears to because of artificial credit. Money printing. Thanks for commenting!
