if its in my mind, when my wife and i do ouija and i let go how does answers come up that only i would know? like dates of birth, old addresses, past dates? i have been doing it for years and i am pleased to say i have my nan as a guide and i have had no problems at all. in fact i have asked for things and they have come real!! i asked for success in work...got it! the board never tells me to do things, just gives me very sound advice.

That's kind of the mind set you have to walk into every time you use a ouija board. If you go into using one and telling yourself its fake, chances are what's happening is indeed fake. However, you have some cases where they are not actually fake. I've stopped toying around with them after having a very unpleasant experience.

My daughter and her friend were "playing" and I told them to ask it a question that only I knew the answer to. It spelled out the right answer. well after me and my bro alec used it in his basement. Weird things did infact happen. LIke the clock on top of his piano that hasn't worked in over 20 years. Used properly it is a tool. Used with ignorance and lack of spiritual knowledge, it can be a terrifing experience. If you are unable to discern what spirits come through, probably not a good idea to play without a psychic. Most people just ask for any old spirit to come through. I was using the board for a while last year with two friends. All three of us were just joking around, thought nothing would happen. We had a strange experience the second try and that had us all convinced that something was definitely happening. One stopped believing because nothing catastophically bad happened (other than bread flying around her kitchen). The other went the way of idiomotor effect. I am still on the fence. :)

To answer your question, it did work when I was alone. As to why I couldn't control my hands, the same reason you get pendulums swinging when you do them alone. I asked for messages, and I let the ideomotor effect control the planchette. Effectively, my subconscious mind took over and I basically spelled out messages I was thinking in the back of my mind. You just have to relax and let your mind wander to get it to work like that. You'll find that most of these messages are exactly what you
