I started out reading your blogs on Eastside boxing and they were/are brilliant. just stumbled on your youtube stuff so its good to put a face to teh work. great vid. What are your thoughts on the Mayweather v Marquez fight. i've got mayweather by late stoppage, thats assuming Floyd is what Floyd was. Cheers.

I've seen some Manny Pacquiao close fights, Marquez 1st , one Judge score 10/7 3x knock down- Barerra's first fight , the ref . tends to always holding Pacquiao after Pacquiao Knocking down the opponent and in my humble opinion The ref. most of the time is giving the opponent more time to recover.(i.e. Diaz-Morales-Hatton) or maybe i'm just hanging out with the wrong community. Manny Pacquiao learned this aspect of Boxing and i think that's the reason why he's not leaving any doubt .

I appreciate your thoughts, but i would like to clarify...By all means it's a legitimate concern of many around the fight world in the Puerto Rican community that Cotto can't get a fair shake at the hands of the officials b/c EVERYONE (and i do mean EVERYONE) wants to see Pacquiao face Mayweather. If Mayweather wins and Cotto/Pacquiao is close, we've seen the outcome of plenty fights go to the man awaiting a money fight (think ODH/Felix Sturm) so i think those that think that have valid concerns

the reason why manny fought oscar at 147 was very simple. it was OSCAR DELA HOYA. the golden boy!. mannys not going to mess up the biggest payday of his career just bcoz of weight issues. but i bet if manny was the cash cow back then he wouldnt have jumped 2 weight class and fought any fighter at 147.

ODLH already went down from 154 ... so 147 should already be ok. Cotto coming down 2 lbs, and Pacquiao coming up 5 lbs ... sounds fair enough, and not really draining Cotto. He fought Clottey at 146. If he pushed Cotto to go 142, then yeah maybe ... peace !

Pac's fast weight gain in marquez II was a problem. If he couldnt finish JMM in two fights and couldnt knock down oscar, I dont think he will be steamrolling cotto like everyone thinks, unless the cut is an issue. I think cotto will put the brakes on pac's flurry with many tools. For starters a damn good jab, which pac hasn't seen in 3 fights.

FYI Cotto said recently If Pacquiao wants that the fight be for the title, (it) will have to be in 147 pounds. I won the title in that, the welterweight (division) and that is 147 pounds, Cotto told the Primera Hora newspaper yesterday during the launch of his clothing line.

I think Pacquiao should really fight Cotto in 147 lbs to legit himself as P4P king!

Cotto's right, he got the title in that & must stake it at same weight. What u think? It would make Pacman the greatest ever if he win!

good poinst broh. .. some fans forgot or don't know. that Pacman, entered the ring to fight Ledwaba with only weeks notice. i really adore pacman, he's never brought a boring fight. always a war, always entertaining. this is his last fight. its not gona be a while where we'll see another All time great fighter like manny.

Jojoreah98: Cotto is only 28 and Pacquiao is only 30, but Pacquiao has been in a large number of wars against some of the best in the biz. 54 fights at age 30...That says it all. He doesnt appear to be slowing down, but hey, water runs dry! This could be the fight where bodily wear and tear, or mental fatigue sets in. Nobody knows, but that's why we love this game!
