@BeanyboBean I actually have the Bear Family sets. It's on one of them. They're really great .. expensive .. but they have so much of her music. I've found out they don't have allof it, but quite a bit.

@BeanyboBean Its a German cd set. There are 5 sets of 3 to 6 cd's. They come with a book talking about that period of her music and they give you the musicians and recording information. Very nice sets - lots of great music and info. Good luck to you .. this is a great song !!

@Dayniac4324 Doris Day is my favourite of the song and dance women of the period (love her in Calamity Jane). I adore her singing so I listened to some of her duets with guys and I must admit that I liked her best in a duet with Donald O'Connor (I'm his great admirer) - only he could adjust his voice to hers and their two songs are precious gems - he sings there as crystal clear as she does. Their voices match incredibly well.

What a fun song--and Doris, as always, certainly does it justice!!

Know what else I love about her? One never had to wonder about the lyrics when Doris delivered a song. Every single word was clearly enunciated and easy to understand (unlike today's music---but hey, come to think of it, maybe that's a good thing!!) LOL

She would have been terrific. She had that special something that grabs the viewer. Unfortunately she had a huge aversion to performing in public. After leaving the big bands the only time she sang before an audience was with Bob Hope and her radio program - both very early in her movie career (late 40's early 50's) After that - no more singing in public. Too bad - she would have been phenomenal on the broadway stage.
