I saw them a hundred years ago at the Blue Note in Columbia, MO. The band was in kind of low spirits, as Capitol had just given them the boot. I remember Mr. Croslin smoking on a big cigar, and "Dragonflies", which showed up a year or so later. I envy you Austiners. I drove a long way to see them, but Texas is just a bit too far.
On of the first independent bands I "discovered" (i.e. I was the first among my group of friends to hear of them) I've always liked this song. Reminded me (at the time) of The March Violets or The Glove. Thanks for the upload!
I hung out with these guys at "Tacoland" in San Antonio, and "Wackys". Nicest real people you could know. Ran lights for them when they played with the "Bleeding Mummies" on St. Mary's street. Cindy was great on Bass!
Hey Moses... I'll see you at the shows! I'll be coming from Ohio with a good friend and can't wait to see the band again! I hope you got your tickets... I've got mine!
The love of this song come from knowing how falling in love can be scary. Also, we pretty 20-somethings always seem to fall in love in such stylish surroundings...how does THAT work?
Sorry I was just a little too young too be allowed out to see you guys live but I heard you on local college radio and loved your stuff immediately. Wish ya'll were still around!
Very cool. Thanks for posting this. I saw Zeitgeist a few times in 1985/86 (and interviewed John for college radio), and the Reivers maybe once or twice. Coincidentally, John was renting the San Francisco house I bought in 2001. Small world!
thank you so so much for posting this. I haven't heard this song since i was a teenager.

Jon Croslin was one of the first folks I met when I first moved to Austin. Great guy. Nutty about baseball.
