DC was started by Ken Block and Danny's brother Damon Way. They later sold it to Burton distribution. Ken Block still races for them but that's is. DC was a company distributed by Droors Clothing and that's how they got the name. Droors wasn't sued they just went under but DC stayed while the Distribution stopped. Dydrek was one of the original riders and has had a hand in designing.
