Both guys felt that they were superior (especially Eric Harris), but the only way they could get any kind of power was with weapons, and through terrorizing, injuring and killing. Basically, they wanted power and control. I've always thought that if it didn't happen at their school, it would have happened somewhere else. They were beyond help at that point.

They were so bullied. Brooks Brown who was there the full 4 years Eric & Dylan were talk about how they were bullied, and a lot of other witnesses say so too in the police reports and interviews. Eric said himself people always make fun of his face, hair, and clothes and he will get them back. Eric's co workers said Eric was depressed from being bullied. Eric told a psychologist he was depressed and bullied.

As a parent, I still cry when I see their faces. Full of promise and life. The cowards took them from their families, the sadistic cowards took them from all of us. More than 12 years later - I am sad when I think of their young lives and that of their teacher being brutally taken. If you read this - please take a minute to pray or say something to whatever God you believe in....please pray a few words for the families that lost these kids. Their brothers and sisters - their moms and dads.

The killers knew they were going to be shot by PIGS if they came out of the school so they chose to end their pitiful lives. The police department should be held accountable at a tribuneral of doom for not getting inside of the school.That's their job!

I think this video is very sweet, but just the tiniest inaccurate. first of all, Rachel joy Scott, the girl who was eating lunch with Richard something, was the first to die. Also, it was 12 students and 1 teacher, not 13 students. Another thing that bothers me is that people don't mention how the only reason Rachel was shot was because they asked who believed in God, and she stood up and said "I do." with a bible in her hand. Also, Rachel is famous for making such a change in the world.

Rachel Scott was outside when she was shot, eating lunch with a friend (the video was right!), she was shot just because Klebold and Harris were passing by, and she was near. She was not questioned on her religious beliefs! Another girl in the library was asked if she believed god after she screamed "OH GOD OH GOD" when the killers approached her table, but they taunted her and walked away. FACTS.

Emily Wyant was there across from Cassie under the tables when she got shot, Eric never asked if she believed in god. just straight up shot her. Dylan asked Valeen Schnurr, "do you believe in god?" she said "yes i believe in god." Dylan reloaded, but something distracted him and he walked off. Rachel was out in the yard eating lunch. never been questioned anything. just shot.

After viewing some of the comments here, I'd say Columbine is a wake-up call for people to treat others with respect and compassion. So what if some kids are not "cool" or "popular". Leave them be. And I am shocked that some people here seem to accept that bullying is a fact of life. Then be willing to accept the fact that some people can't take it anymore and will take drastic measures, because payback is a bitch.
