If you wan't to see an interesting show about Venice, i recommend you to watch "Aria the Animation, Aria the Natural and Aria the Origination" -three seasons, one better than the other. I assume you that you won't regret if you watch it!
I was in Venice last January. It took my breath away. It was a great trip that I will never forget. The gondola ride was my favorite. Our group sang "Thats Amore". It was so much fun. I want to go back.
nice..i would like to visit there sometyme..but there would only be one problem "i dont like italian food" but the place looks amazing...maybe i can bring lunch..lol..lol
good idea.lol im from texas i wonder how much it would cost round trip? i always though that this water streets were awsome...how did they build the city with water always on the way..its very interesting
Several hundreds of years ago they started to build palaces on several small islands on the laguna then connecting them together by small bridges then the waters separating them were now called Rio's and use them as street waters. I think it will cost you lesser by organized group tours sleeping thru Youth Hostels.
@gangsterpelon13 Plan very carefully, one of the most expensive trips in the world. Don't go for the cuisine, or the shopping. Everything is expensive, and only a few items are worth the price, but they do exist. Do see all the public palaces/bulidings/churches/museums. Avoid Gondolas. Avoid Harry's bar. Stay two days.

Maybe you can cook your own food too! Venice is unique, you must visit one day.
