Moles cause actually no harm, all what pisses off humans are their little hills. Get a life trap and relocate them, show some respect to nature and its beings - cause you´re a part of it too. Proudly living in a country were those little guys are under species protection, there is absolutely no reason to kill them.

Moth balls will not last long in the ground and MAY only deter them for a short time. This guy I think sells for 'Kleeneze'. The only true way of controlling moles is trapping which kill them humanely and instantly.

EASY, FAST, BEST way to KILL THEM. You need ALUMINUM TAPE and a garden hose. Hook up the garden hose to the EXHAUST on your car, use the ALUMINUM TAPE to FASTEN IT. Dig up a run, Stick hose in tunnel. Let car run for 45 minutes. The moles within 200 feet will pass out within 6 minutes, and die shortly afterword. This is HONESTLY the sure-fire best way to kill them. Then the bodies decompose underground and fertilize the soil.
