Hey blisskasden, thanks for that comment. I'm the fan in this video who let David know how much I loved his Love Me Tender performance. I can't wait to have his version played at my wedding. :) It is my favorite performance of his because it amazes me how mature he gets with it, how expressive he is, and how he is able to wrap you up into this song with his words. I cried too and still do!

archuletagem, David seemed very moved by your comment to him about "Love Me Tender", as was I. For some reason, that performance is not mentioned as one of his best, but you and I know that it was. I'm old enough to remember Elvis' version (I was VERY young,LOL), and it was and is a classic. For David to even know about such an "oldie" to sing it was amazing. He changed the melody very slightly and made the song more melodic and beautiful. I'm happy for you that you got to meet him.

The fan who mentioned "Love Me Tender" was absolutely right. David took a classic song by a legendary singer and gave it new, contemporary life. It was ,imo, his most compelling performance on the show. The emotion etched on his sincere, angelic face moved this "older" guy to tears. Buckle up everyone. David goes right to the heart, and sometimes, if you're lucky, he will make you cry. I'm not a screaming fan. I just love him for who he is and what he is doing to bring back great music.
