And, on the other hand , the glass should be convexed on the one side, and on the other side it should be concaved, so the light can go around?

@MrWiwi249 not neccessarly , you just need the right angle for the light to stay in the scope

where did you get the curved plastic? im looking for one or will make one my self from bending plastic in the oven

i just have a question is it like a lens? i mean is the plastic wider in the centre and not so wide on the edges just like a lens or is it the same width all the way around?

@dudekidPL What ever that allow light through can be used as lens with the correct curve . but it wont be as clear as a glass .

No you cant make on not matter the material , i ve tried and the outcome was horrible ... i manage to find a plastic like the one in the video from an ice scream cap xD

So keep your eyes open for something that allows light through , is curved and its clear and smooth , anything else ?

@ACEGR1 well i found a curved plastic thing and tested it with a LED and still didnt work like yours

perhaps because it was more like an eliptical curve but i hoped it would be even a bit better but it still acted like a flat sheet of plastic so i dont know whats wrong,

maybe the distance from LED to curvature? does the LED have to be in the curves focus?

@dudekidPL Make sure you adjust the distance from the LED and the reflector first to work ... Them try to place a filter with a small hole so only some light of the LED will go on through , Dont mind the focus The curvature will dont on its own , Try rewatching the video above , i explain most of it

Amazing! No parallax! Where did you get that convex lens? I could never find one like that around here, and that's exactly how factory made red dots reduce parallax.

Ways to improve the scope:

Build it out of sturdier materials, such as PVC pipe, use cheap scope rings to mount to RIS Rails

Use set screws to move an LED housing to allow the dot to be zeroed.

Im in deep shit with the LEDs and wires and batteries. The LED directly on the batterie won't work and I do have a switch but it's just messed up man :( nothing works! Could you help me please? I do understand the basics but come on!

Are you sure the LED is wired correctly in respect to + and - poles? LED stands for Light Emitting Diode, and that Diode part will ensure that electrical current moves in only one direction. If it is not wired correctly, you will ruin the LED or it just won't light. Check out LED on wikipedia.

in this design, you eliminate the mirror. why, is this not necessary? you said in other model need large distance betwen the lens and the led

@widaro nah , probably you confused me someone else , the only model i have a mirror is the holographic sight where there you need the mirror to make enough reflection so the reticle will be brighter , but here is a dot , not a reticle design so yeah you dont need in this model a mirror , you can add if you like though but its something you can do with out too !
