  • Can someone explain to me why GE uses composite fan blades and RR uses titanium? Thank you.

  • And we don't have to pay taxes! Hoorah!

  • Notice they don't show an operating GEnx, because they don't have one. At least Pratt & Whitney has several operating GTF's.

  • @unabuna813 they do have them running in tests. just gotta search fro it.

  • put this shit on my boat and two of them

  • I Know the dry weights of the GENx and Trent 1000 from Wikepedia (in German). In English it wasn't known. The dry weight of the GENx for the Dreamliner is 5642 kg and the dry weight of the Trent 1000 is 5402 kg. So there's some top secret knews for you.

  • Good presentation. What infact is the dry weight of the GEnx? Is it the same weight as the Trent 1000? How long have carbon fibre blades been used on the 115engine? Interesting.

  • i google the price on a ge90 and it is $24mil a unit!! so u need 2 on a 777 thats 48 mil!!! without installation!!

  • Hahahahaha, a GE90 costs a million dollars huh? Try 15 million each.

  • They're actually 21 million each. (at least for the 115b)

  • Well, I knew they were at least that much but thanks for clarifying. Certainly far and away more than "a million dollars a unit", hahahaha, i'm going to be laughing about that one for a long time, lol!

  • Yeah, me too. That is pretty funny! lol

  • woo im gonna go buy a GE90

  • it's a million dollars a unit
