I hate to state the obvious, but she can't sing at all. I'll try to chalk it up to a bad monitor. Maybe she and the dude can't hear themselves. It just shows how over produced their albums were. I'm sad I watched this because I love this song. Now I just know they produced good albums but sucked in concert.
NO freaking way! I can't believe this is on Youtube! I was at this gig and had travelled all the way down from Glasgow cos I was following them around a bit, like a saddo. I had to sleep under a flyover cos I had nowhere to stay and I got picked up by the cops in the morning. Ta guys! It was a damn long way back but worth every minute. The most underrated pop band in British music, EVER! I run a club in Glasgow and will be playing Primitives tracks as often as I can get away with. Heavenly!

I was a massive fan, i travelled over seas just to buy their records, This was about my favourite song of theirs EVER. I'm a professional muso and producer these days. I can stil see the influence that this music had on me. BIG. seeing these clips now 12 years later . . . who produced them, the records sound great, but live . . .? it's like the first band I was in, part timers? Don't get me wrong, I've watched this clip 50 times, maybe I need to rethink my Pro approach . . .
I'm not sure what you mean about the live performance thing, it was recorded from quite far back in the hall on the camera's onboard mike which isn't ideal. I must have seen them about 6 times in all and was always impressed by their live sound, but then I'm not a muso...just a fan.
@a1950hotrodcat My punk brother got to see them live in Boston not once but TWICE in '88 and '90 while I was stuck in Africa in the Peace Corps listening to their tapes every day. Perfect music.

People forget how great the Primitives were "live" in a small venue. You won't be forgotten!
