For safety sake, I would cut that top nail right where it exits the pipe, then epoxy both ends of it. That way, there's not a big freakin' nail sticking out AND (if you epoxy it), you don't have to worry about it coming out.

This isn't a great mine in an of itself, but I see a LOT of potential here.

If you work on adding a couple of them together in some sort of fan-type pattern and work on a remote pull for the nail (I'm thinking a tripwire system), you'd have a pretty good defensive weapon.

Not a bad idea, though. Very simple design. Simple is good.

To be completely honest, this is pretty ghetto and in no way looks useful as a mine. Even less so as a claymore since it obviously has such a narrow shot path. Points for being crafty... but nothing beyond that.

@linkpast92 Actualy, i upgraded to 4" PVC, Bigger spring, and a base for it and use it all the time at my CQB field. It works good for sliding half way accross the field then pulling the pin spraying everyone.
