They did that to "V" also. The only Sci Fi show I wish should be canned is "Dr Who". I used to be addicted to it but I reckon the producers have lost their way with the currrent Doctor. @TrueBlueAustralian Not really, I've watched parts of episodes but didn't get into it. I really don't watch much Tellie except for comedy and doco's. It would ad up to 4 hours a week max. (Except when the Rabbito's are playing!)
It's sad, but to be honest it's not unexpected. SGU was a radical departure from the established Stargate franchises. It was darker, less action oriented, very little humour and for a show with "Stargate" in the title - the stargate didn't seem to feature much.
How can you leave a season hanging like that? so many story arcs open up through the 2nd half of the season and none getting resolved, not to mention really interesting many got really interesting like Greer and Parks relationship. perhaps the biggest kick in the gut is the fact that the Lucian Alliance is still gunning for Destiny, storyline wise they could find another Icarus planet at dial and take Destiny whilst everyone is asleep.
Uhh would have loved it if they gave the series closure.
@dctcool I agree there are so many avenues they could go into, and so many new series potental there or maybe offshot. I wouldnt mind so much if they gave us something to repace it. If i was there i would bring in a new show similar to SG1 but maybe cross with new technology heading towards action and scifi

It's the end of the Stargate franchise I'm afraid. They cancelled Atlantis to make room for Universe. I mistake in my opinion. SG-A could've continued producing episodes While testing the waters with SG-U. Such a terrible waste. Funny. I'm watching SG-1 right now lol. Season 6 Episode 20 lol. I'm a tragic.
bit late sadly, sets are being dismantled and brad wright the man in charge has said stargate is over for now :-( the ending for SGU was alright still left it open, I made a video to force some closure for myself :( ... sgu on blu ray is awesome btw cant wait till the atlantis set on blu ray is out later in the year
@SprattyD They can remake the sets or set them back up, yeah i know they said its over but we can only try. or at least see it again in 3 yrs or a 1000. ;)
