  • i beleave that Europa needs to be moved from juputers orbit and pushed more towards the sun if we did this the ice would melt and the core would start working again basicly Terror forming the planet once walter is burned down the air inside would release and would make a atmusfear thing. cool thery of myn.

    regards corwin

  • I'm guessing microscopic bacteria... or something better.

  • There's life on Io...

  • @soittotaiteilija

Impossible, its too cold in some ares, to hot in others.

    The atmosphere is toxic.

    Nothing could survive.

  • Nothing that conforms to Earthly biology, I'm sure.

  • @colooizawesome Nothing could survive, as in, nothing could evolve beneath Europa's surface? Sure, toxic to us, it may not be toxic to some species. Hydrothermal vents are theorized to exist beneath europa's surface. We know of many species and microbes that are able to live in, and near hydrothermal vents.

  • @Videos4USArmy

Ummm, I was talking about Io, the person who i was replying to said there was life on Io, to which I replied that the atmosphere is too hot and too sulphuric, not europa, please read the full story before replying next time.

  • @soittotaiteilija Before the 1980's, their was no other life we knew that could live in 170F+. But we discovered it can. to our knowledge, Io is the most geologically active object in our solar system.

  • since europa has water couldn't we live there think about it h20=water=02=oxygen the only thing im worrying about is if it has in organic matter there

  • europa is small tho...

  • so? size isnt an issue...temperature is the only requirement..hell u dont even need oxygen..look up sulphur springs

  • the tempature, its so far from the sun. it only gets internal heat. and all the water is frozen, and there arent any plants

  • I suppose there is no reason why settlements couldn't be established at the very bottom of Europa's global ocean. Down there people could mine, get energy from geothermal and wave energy, and turn water into breathable air and rocket fuel provided shipped to the surface via bored shafts through the miles of ice.

The only problem would be the enormous pressures underwater, the oceans are probably highly acidic, and the surface of Europa is bathed in Jupiter's radiation. Possible though, one day.

  • @2011killa

Surface is too cold, unless we develop gills we cant live underwater either.

  • the problem is.. if the probes got back from europa to earth.. we are not sure if its safe of alien viruses that could wipe out humanity! lol..! think about it!

  • Jupiter has more than 63 known moon. It is not surprising that Europa has a thick layer of water under it's surace.

  • it,s going to explode..somthings going on with jupiter and europa.(quote)- INEXPLICABLE PHENOMENA taking place on jupiter and it,s moon europa- go to PRAUDAau for the article = JUPITER AND IT,S MOON PREPARE NUCLEAR WINTERS FOR EARTH..

  • HAH! good luck getting there without angering the fucking monolith!

  • Space is so fascinating, I wish all of our money wasn't going towars Iraq so we could fund more research into better propulsion technologies for outer space. The key to exploration is going fast!

  • Why I may disagree with you on your principals about Iraq, I completely agree with your statement about creating faster ways to explore our home, the Universe.

  • @lovedalord88 thats a great conversation to have. spread this idea!

  • Wouldn't it be cool if there were dolphins there that were comunicating with the dolphins here on earth? i'm drunk...lol.

  • i hope theres fish people on europa!

  • @Zeus5115 Billion dollar sushi

  • @Zeus5115 i hope there's fish on europa. *hope.

  • go to Area 51 and get the aliens' spaceship (which the us government has it hidden for so long), and go to the europa in no time

  • let me say this..at 0 degrees I'm freezing..Europa at 300 degrees below zero is unfathomable..there is no way you could thrive..god doth have a sense of humor sirs..

  • the Ice age is about to end in Europa, thats the true!

  • humanity wont be moving forward anywhere any time soon if we dont get corrupt politicians and evangelical radicalist pigs out soon.

jesus camp suck my balls! FROM. A. CHRISTIAN. MOUTH.

  • I'd say you guys might just be missing the amazing point of this video

  • to fishman2001. gotcha! he speaks! okay, but hmmm, there's nothing of real substance there, but at least they are sentences yo. that's a start.

anything to say about europa bra? astronomy maybe? or do you only speak about how your panties get all bunched up yo.

oh yeah, hella-props to all my 40 year old, white nerdly brothers! white middle aged nerds unite!! you brought us the iPhone, Google earth, liberalism and shall lead us to eurpoa and beyond!

  • wow bro (fisherman2001), you're like a snl skit, "rain man on youTube."

i'm just curious, can you like speak in complete sentences? you know, "a sentence" a string of nouns, verbs & stuff that together expresses a complete thought?

no? i see. so bra, maybe astronomy and you know, 'words' are not your thing? how about some krispy kremes, a couch and an episode of "r u smarter than a 5th grader?"

don't worry, we'll get along just fine without your stunning, 8-year-old insights.

  • huh? what does this mean?

  • ahh i love space and astronomy!!!<3

  • That almost looked like a geometric pattern - something made with intelligence...did anyone else notice that?

  • i did!!!!!

  • What! Are you serious? That is how technology and discovery work,by finding out more about our solar system,we discover more about ourselves. Where we came from, why we're here. These are the age old questions that man has been working towards answering since we've evolved brains smart enough to ask.Not exploring or asking these questions does our species a huge injustice. If the dinosaurs could do the same, they may be around today.

  • yo bro (rkbrockstheworld)

let europa evolve!? i mean are you forrest gump's cousin? ah, if there is no life on europa, what exactly do you think is evolving bro? and if there is life, wouldn't it be nice to know? let me guess, you prefer ignorance?

knowing there are those that think like you gives me hope when i hear 60% don't vote, hope that your among them.

  • well if theres an ocean and a hot core there should be some sort of life down there. Seing as some shrimps live off energy at the bottom of the ocean... they dont eat drink or they need is to have constant heat from the earths core and water. there also under extremably high pressure so they're pretty hardy. I believe theres a big chance of life there. good post.

  • impossable.... why would life be there... and life is more then just add water..

  • why? dude are you serious? bro, because every like EVERY place water is found on earth, life is found - including the deepest, darkest recesses of the volcanic ocean floor where no sunlight is found, at temperatures that would melt lead (675 F) and pressures that would crush a main battle tank. bra, that's why!

  • Europa is ok but it's Sycorax or Prometheus that really float my boat. Man I have posters of those above my bed and I look at them when I'm alone at night.

  • oh wait if the core is made outta molten rock it could send heat up to the deep parts of the ocean... yay

  • Europa has the highest chance of having lifeforms there. the moon has liquid water, and a bit of oxygen. but i hope things can survive in the freezing temperatures. I also heard tht scientists were gonna send a probe there soon

  • How can we get NASA to understand that they need to get to Europa right away?? It's very important!

  • Europa's nothing Enceladus is where its at

  • I live in Europe and here's a lot of life ^^

Anyway: I think NASA should make Europa TOP-PRIORITY

  • Europa has always seemed more plausible than Mars, in my opinion.

Choos a group that has no family, or ties to earth and send them out there.

Send terminally ill patients who have no chance, anyway.

If they don't make it back, no 'big' lose, but what they experience will make the rest of their lives worth while, to them.

  • There's too much radiation on Europa (coming from Jupiter). I read somewhere that even with the best shielding available, humans on board would only have 20-30 minutes to land the spacecraft and retreat below the ice, before the radiation would reach lethal levels.

  • i guess the cold water and the radiation would be a double whammy towards trying to populate Europa then.

  • mahnarch i will deffinatly go dude. good post.

  • I'll co=pilot, man.
