Eh I played this at my friend's house, and as someone who plays rts games more than any other game, I an not impressed, at all. The consoles are not very good with rts games. If you want to fight huge battles where any tactical mistake could spell the end of the battle, get a game from the total war series (If you don't have the best computer get Rome Total War. It still blows halo wars outa the water.) if you like building your base and using air and amphibious assaults, use rise of nations.

scarabs are actually quite underpowered, yes they do destroy everything insanely quickly, but if you do it right you can destroy a scarab really easily, then they're fucked as they have little else

Just select a unit (Warthog for example) then just hold "X" at a location (like an enemy base) and it will move normally to that location, but if (while its moving) you hold "X" at another location (the other enemy base if its 2v2, 3v3) it will move there after the first task is completed.

this makes it very easy to be able to scout multiple bases, or the same base in a circle(hard for turrets/units to hit) while managing your base/units. =D

a scarab is only indestructible if used against a complete moron, the only time a scarab is good is the first couple of minutes after you reveal it and they arent prepared, so unless you can do enough damage quickly they'll just own it

Scarab on cliff + 30 engineers + flying PoR teleporting new engineers in = unstoppable.

With the Engineers, it can take ridiculous amounts of damage, and whats more its health can be completely regenerated in about 5 seconds. You just run it away when its health gets low.

Obviously a Scarab will get owned on a map like Fort Deen, where there are no good cliffs, but its pretty OP on Exile and near-unstoppable on Frozen Valley.

one cryo bomb=  over half the engineers dead, the rest useless, gives you time to kill the frozen prophet, and easy to mop up the rest, or mac the crap out of the prophet and still take out most of them.

in any situation a scarab can be quickly disposed of, and leaves the covenant open to a counterattack, they are only useful for suprise attacks

You are kidding, right? Warthogs are the easiest vehicles to upgrades and easiest to make. In about 5 minutes you will have 5-7 warthogs with grenader and machine guns at the enemy base. In 7 minutes(if not sooner) they will have gauss cannons and there will be more of them. Does warthog rush(I don't like rushing) ring a bell? Warthogs are great in Halo Wars and a key component as well(scouting).

Halo Wars is an RTS game not an FPS game so of course more would be needed, but they are still great to use. Also, more will be firing at an enemy than you see in Halo 3(I like the game, but I prefer RTS). All I'm saying is that warthogs are really great in both games.

Not much of anything gets him. The super powers could kill him and the Cryo Bomb is his greatest enemy since it slows him down. Although, the only units that could kill him are about 50 marines or flamethrowers just from being out numbered and they attack immediately.

He can evade the missiles from scorpions, wolverines, vultures, and hornets. Pretty elite.

Just think of everything RTS only you are severly limited on what you can do. No squad-building, can't do those "Do not fire back" commands, etc... It's the basics of the basics and the good thing is you don't have to worry about building placement (well you do, but you're already limited to so many spots so it's not significant) and all you think about is the best way to get rid of your enemy.
