@fantaztiko: Personally, I hate it when fiddlers smirk their way through a tune-- like those dorks in Riverdance, for instance. Drives me f**king nuts every time.
@gus: GREAT videos. Great arrangement. Mind if I steal it?
I found it in a book by Mel Bay. I mainly learned it by ear though once I started playing, the music barely provided anything. A lot of it is my interpretation though
As the title suggests: The Connaughtman's Rambles, an old Irish favorite, usually played just as a jig, though I found a reel version and decided to through that in as well. Thanks
perhaps the Angi are on the verge of breaking out in a grin...that's what I always feel like doing, when I finally get something right after dozens of takes :-P
I think it's a type of "There you go, whaddaya think?" expression. But maybe it's something else in the subconscious, like a "Hmm this room smells funny" or "How peculiar, there is a camera over there"
when I'm a street musician, people like it when I play these tunes with a jazz swing rhythm, and i've found it works really well with jigs. I'll make a video of it sometime.
whew.. brilliant. Just love this tune, and your interpretation of it is fantastic - would love to play with you someday

Oh I love the way that both "Angi" do the same "I just finished the tune" face... the one where he purses his lips.

No it's Fantaztiko (Dom). The one who challenged you to the whistle duel.

He's good. I think he should join you sometime, if he's still alive after the duel.

What a world we live in... where I can watch TWO Anguses at once AND I can watch them in high quality!
I think your music vids are great but are those sad faces really necessary? Next time, I think you should play the entire song grinning painfully.

would the plural of Angus be 'Angi,' I wonder?
