Grrr add the orange juice! its so much better with it.

Ginerale/sprite/7up + grenadine is just a red colored version of each drink... the grenadine is mainly for color so you add the OJ to add more zest.

I think I had been served this a few times in a bar when I became tipsy from beer tasting sessions. Only the grenadine changed to raspberry syrup.  If I want to get Shirley 'married' (turned into a cocktail), I can add a shot of Kahlua or gin.
