  • this version was okayyy ;) can give some major boners here and there... its hot in a creepy way :)

  • ♥Jill would have married Brad Pitt, see his favorite brunette beauty? hope she slept with him. Currently promoting albums.

  • This is a great movie. It probably didn't recieve many ratings. But it's still a great film.

  • With this 2004 version of Lloyd Webber's song and the 1989 adaptation of Leroux's story (with its gory twist), this is SUCH a scary music video. I love it! =^D

  • This version isnt bad, but i think if they ever made another strait foward Phantom of the Opera like Lon Chaney's (My one of my fav actors) i think Englund should play Erik, he does a great job in this film, so why not he be in a better version?

  • i love this version. it's very superior to the 2004 version...but i must say..i like the Silent version better, and only because i love Lon Chaney

  • dude this is my fave version too, and it does sway away from the book, cuz i read it a week after seing the movie but over all my fave :)

  • oh i think iv seen thise version a few years ago Robert was a good Phantom and like most modern phantoms his face is no big deal he has like burn blisters on it like a severe case of sunburn

  • i suggest you all listen to the original london cast, starring sarah brightman, michael crawford and steve (something or another)

  • this song goes very well with this version..............in a very creepy way.

  • they should do slasher remakes of all the Universal monsters, that would be cool.

  • Bob Englund did the best he could, but a poor script and bad makeup make this the least good of the big screen versions. He was deformed by being touched by a dwarf devil? What were they thinking! Nothing against Englund. I'm a big fan, just not of this movie.

  • I love this version so much. Dark, gothic, sinister, and unnerving. Englund's performance is frightening, blackly funny, and even touching at times. Great video...I really liked it. Needs to be more POTO 1989 out there! (And people need to allow some fresher things in their lives, as opposed to the same generic ALW crap.)

  • omg! it's freddy! lol this looks like it's a REALLY good thriller movie... although i think this particular story is better as a tragic romance, i still really want to see this version :)

  • I, too, love the fact that this Phantom was deformed as he should have been. I've always had an issue with handsome Phantoms. This really was a great version, campy but wonderful to watch on Halloween night or anytime I'm just looking to get a little spooked out.

  • the phantom's theme , love it

  • do they have Gerard Butler's singing as the song for the video of Robert Englund's?

  • Comment removed

  • 1:45

    Bloodgasm!

  • The best movie of Phantom! Robert Englund is genius.

  • Good song and I love this version of the movie. Robert Englund's the man.

  • The costume at 1.35 is incredible. Gaston Leroux would be proud!

  • Awesome vid!!!!!!!

I always love that last shot1

1:45...Lol, I think he enjoyed that don't you?

  • My Favorit Robert Englund Movie

  • i mdont understand 1:42 - 1:49 specially i dont understand 1:45

  • It's called enjoying the kill. Don't worry, it not making any sense to you is a good thing. It means you're definitely not a sociopath. :)

  • There's nothing wrong with you. This is my FAVOURITE adaptation of the Phantom after Lon Chaney version. Robert Englund was excellent in this film; he was scary, charming, yet so poignant as well.

  • nice i want to see this version

  • I've always wanted to see this verion, but here's the funny thing, to me, Robert Englund reminds me too much of Robin Williams, at least in the face, at times, depending on the camera angle, and on another note, 1:40- 1:47 is absolutly disgusting and disturbing!!! *cringes and gags*

  • this version is sooo dark ..... iv seen it its good but very dark

  • It was released on DVD.

  • :c i wanna see this movie soooo BAD!

maybe you could upload it? pretty please?

  • I think this version brings out a whole new gruesomeness to the story. Full of blood and gore, that's something the other versions never had.

  • I wish they would make the sequel to this movie, Robert is not playing Freddie in the new movie so he has some free time

  • It was supposed to have been a two picture deal from the start. There are rumors that the second movie was filmed but never released. And if you guys really want to see disgusting horrifying and disturbing look up the 1998 Dario Argento Phantom. *cringe* Makes this version look cuddley and tame by comparison.

    Your obedient servant,

    the Phantomess

  • Wasn't the Argento Phantom a good looking blond guy? Mr. Argento cast the British Brad Pitt and didn't even make him lool scary? So, I'm not sure to what you are referring.

On an unrelated note, I did think that it was strange that Mr. Argento zoomed in from the back on his daughters "Cleft of Venus."

  • Yeah, Sands refused to wear disfiguring makeup or a mask. Wuss. But the greasy stringy wig was horrible enough to make him quite unappealing thankyouverymuch! The disgusting and horrifying I'M referring to is the copious amounts of gore and disturbing shots of Argento's daughter in various forms of slutitude. And the rats....oh sweet music's throne the rat scene! Horror, horror, horror!

  • My God, I HATE that version.

WHEN THE HELL DID THE PHANTOM START STUFFING RATS DOWN HIS PANTS?

    Oh, wait, I forgot. He's not a phantom. He's "a rat".

  • Hey at least we had the ratmobile.

  • This is NOT that version! You are thinking of the 1998 version. This is the 1989 version.

  • I know this is. This is probably my second favourite version

I was replying to someone else's comment about the 1998 version.

    (Which is a terrible one)

  • i've seen this version b4 its good ... i want some1 to put it up

  • I have this movie!!! It's my favorite movie of all time!!!

  • hey it would amazing if someone could upload this. like many others, im a poto fan & i would love to see this version. so if you have time it would be great if you could upload it (:

  • lol all they had to do is have freddy face lol

  • who sings this song

  • emmy rossum and gerard butler.

  • i suggest u see the version with emmy rossum n gerard i love it XD it was made in 2004

  • Yeah, because everyone who knows about Phantom of the Opera has NEVER heard of that movie.

  • i say this movie by accident, but i thought it was really good, they actually made the phantom ugly as hes supposed to be, i liked the 2004 version a little better though, becuase of the music and bulter was a good actor when he played the part, just wasnt ugly. though i liked how they used his real name in this version, and they skin mask was a good idea, though the whole scenario wasnt very good. he sold his soul to the devil and they distroyed any dramatics that scene may have had.

  • Does Robert Englund sing in this version?

  • This version isn't a musical, it's an adaptation of the book. Not very accurate, but it's a good movie.

  • some good clips in their but i really want to see the film.I am a true poto fan and love allmost anything to do with it, Yes you can call me sad but i really dont care.

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE UPLOAD THE FILM ON HERE

  • i wanna c the movie... nd it was on here nd then it disappeared... is someone gonna reupload it mayb? lol

  • I liked this somewhat but you ruined it with too much of the cheap whore.

  • there was the whole movie on here at one point anybody know where it went ?

  • I miss it to.

  • I love this movie!! in my art class we have to create a mvie poster/dvd cover for a movie of our choice and I chose this one! i just don't like emmy & gerard singing. I prefer the original broadway cast.

  • its too much like a cheap horror movie, bleh

  • There's nothing wrong with you, crawlfan. This is a good video.

  • I Love It cause is very cool!!

EU AMEI ISSO PORQUE É MUITO LEGAL!!

  • can i see it on youtube somewhere???

its beautifull!! i want to see all the phantommovies XXx

  • It's on YouTube, but be mindful of your expectations. The Phantom's "mask" isn't in this movie, and is much more violent than other versions of the story.

I happen to love it, but many Gerry fangirls have complained about it and I REALLY don't want to hear more people talking badly about this movie.

  • i don't care i liek some action horrormovies but i think im stupid... can't find the movie on youtube.. i typed in phantom of the opera 1989 and other names but couldn't find it :( XXx

  • the song that the girl is singing in the movie so what's the name if it? and does someone have this movie?

  • 0:26 it looks like shes singing "oh geez" and at 2:10 she looks like she's singing your'e right bob!

  • The Phantom's face acutely scare me, yeah! Bonus.

  • Can anyone who knows this movie better than I tell me if Francisco Araiza either plays in or sings in this Phantom of the Opera version?

  • In this song, Gerard Butler and Emmy Rosum sang. Otherwise, I don't know.

  • LOVE IT! The love of my life, Robert Englund, and the music from one of my fave movies which i was obsessed with for 3 years!

  • This version is very cool, this movie!! Thanks for the video!!

  • Wow this Phantom freaks me out. He looks scary.

  • This version wasn't that bad. At least the Phantom was properly deformed. Not some sunburn in the 2004 version...

    Though that Phantom WAS sexy...

    Very nice vid :)

  • oh yeah and BTW, why does the phantom look like that duke from Moulin Rouge and Raoul looks like that writer from moulin rouge?! XD

  • question....why the 2004 music?

  • Because it's a music video, so there should be music.

  • He's not particulary nice to her when Erik abducts her after the masked ball.

  • ugh. i didnt like this version. i loved the 2004 version way better.but robert played the role well anyway.

  • question, how come in some parts he looks fina and in others hes ugly

  • I dunno. Ask the actor who plays him.

  • because he has a wrecked face & he murders ppl for their skin & sewns it on to his face to make him look normal.

i love him he is soooo sexy

  • i love the phantom so much since i was like 8yrs old im now 21.

    he is gorgeous

  • Hm. This version seems like worth watching. And I just realised the paper covers of my PotO book by leroux has THAT Phantom on them. Gah.

  • A damn good version.

  • That is one freaky ass phantom. That guy has got to be good.

  • ROBERT! <33333

  • Is this acctually a musical or just a film based on the book?!

  • The Robert Englund version is just a film based on the book. The song you're hearing, however, is FROM the musical version.

  • this one makes my stomach chrun.

  • Regardless, I love this one.

  • OMG I love this! I loved this POTO, not many people I know did

  • hey. I haven't seen this video so I must ask you guys: What happened to his face? who did that to him?

  • Well, in this version, he sells his soul to the devil for perfect music, but in return, his face is scarred for life.

In every other version, he's just born like that.

  • i want to see this version of the movie so bad but can't find it anywhere!

  • Isn't it on YouTube?

  • idk lol i hope *goes to look*

  • You can buy it on amazon.

  • hi you can watch it on youtube in 10 parts

robert englund pantom of the opera

    i love it

  • COOL!!!! :D

  • I believe this duet is sung by Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman-I was delighted to see Crawford in concert once-very funny as well as being a talented singer. ^_^

  • This version wasn't sung by either of them. This one was by Gerard Butler and Emmy Rosum.

  • hey could you be able to send me this version of this song becuase i can't find it.

  • Send me your e-mail address so I can. There's a video of it on YouTube, btw.

  • who sings this version of phantom of the opera?

  • Gerard Butler. Same person in the 2004 musical.

  • thanks

  • Wonderful video!!!

  • I love the Robert Englund version, one of the best :D

  • I loved Erik Destler.

  • that music video was alright.

  • That kicked ass!

  • Thank you!!! ^_^

  • It was okay. Good, but a little odd and hard to follow... It confused me a bit
