I think you have no clue what you are talking about...Mater Dei is not in the I.E., we took yellow school buses to Santa Ana stadium and left victorious, while Mater Dei took their charter buses 3 miles back to their prison of a high school. Centennial doesn't play out of state because there is no money like the private catholic schools.
We are still doing fund raisers... We also don't recruit players. Centennial is public school. and yes at this point we are above LBP just like at the end of last year, but we don't care about that. They played and beat Miami Northwestern - two public schools who played each other out of state and Miami NW was last years national champion. So it is Centennials problem if they are too poor or too insignificant to play someone out of state.
Plus Poly has played St Boneventure and Bishop Amat. They will have to go through Notre Dame.

I went to ygnacio valley high we're right behind de la salle next to eachother; they're our neighbors. i'm soo lucky i got to see dls play they're such a powerhouse. They have the national record in streak wins 151, about 5 or 6 national championships and many other trophies. they are or used to be sponsored by nike, under armour and espn. sometimes nfl refs would reff their games. they finally lost against some team up in seattle, they lost at the seattle seahawks stadium in 05 or 06 i think.

Congrats. You were better than DLS in 2004, along with many other teams. That was their first down year in over a decade, and you are lucky you scheduled them when you did. DLS lost 3 games and tied 2 that year. They just didnt have the talent, period. Line that same Bellevue team up against any DLS team from 1997-2002 and you lose by 4 TDs.
I'm sure that they ramped up the recruiting efforts after that year. BTW - I am not from Bellevue. And Bellevue HS is a public school. What Bellevue did is much harder for a public school to do, than a private school.

My guess is that you have not been part of a streak - as a player. A streak can make you better or worse than you really are. In High School, my hometown basketball team lost 42 straight. They were better than some of the teams that they lost to, but they lost. The weight of the streak can hurt you, or help you. My guess is that in the 151 games DLS beat a team or two that they should not have.
Morton, that means nothing. Poly also lost to Servite and Dominguez. They were not good that year. The year Bellevue beat De La Salle they werent good either. DLS lost to Clovis West and Mission Viejo that year also. Not to mention they tied Clayton Valley and Palma. Bellevue would have gotten smoked by DLS in the days of the streak. And they would get waxed by DLS this year.
That my friend, we shall never know. I just know that the fans of DLS who were at the game in Seattle, were much more gracious than many who have posted here. If you, or I had been playing for Bellevue, and broken a 151 game winning streak, we would likely feel pretty good about it - and if people kept saying how bad that team with the 151 game streak were, we would not see them as having a great deal of class.
In alabama it goes up to 6A, which is what hoover plays in. My highschool is in hoovers region and one of their rivals, and theyre amazing, that show doesnt do them justice. Last year they beat us 42-8, in 2004 we lost to them 24-0 in the regular season and 17-3 in the semi-finals...closest we've ever come to beating them was in 2002 when we lost 23-22 in the state semis...sad night for mtn brook football...And i think is dls played hoover it would be a great game and decided by less than 1 td

im from foothill high and yes de la salle is intense. in the regular season, we averaged like 34 points a game and then when we played dls, we scored none i believe.
in 1998, a lot of the schools in the district basically boycotted playing DLS because noone could beat them. it was a massacre. so because of that DLS went to a "traveling" team and started playing all the other powerhouses in southern cali. dominating everyone. then they started going out of state with the same outcome.
I played against these guys my junior and senior year of high school. We were one of 2 or 3 major powerhouses in our area, but these guys are just in a league of their own, they were absolutely unstoppable.
you must not know how high school football works. there isn't D1. 1A are the smallest schools and it moves up to 2A... 3A... etc. 4A is a pretty big school.
my mistake, im from the east coast and our system is different, jus thought it was the same no matter what state ur in. anyhow ive been to the schools web site and i looked up some of the games theyve played and the final score, the difference in the scores is ridiculous lol they need to either start playing against schools or start playing at a college level lol, october 20 2006 against antioch, the final score was 62 to 0, ive never seen a final score like that ever
they need to play at a level where you play multiple teams from different states, they need to play power house states like florida alabama and texas not just ohio, thats wen their excellence will be challenged
DLS is just in a league of their own. they dont rely on superstars, they are what a team should be about. 62-0.. thats not uncommon against them. and yes they are that good. they came out to hawaii. killed them. they went to the east coast. killed them. socal. killed them. etc. my senior year we had the most points against DLS, it was like 60 to 24 or something. they were playing 3rd string the whole game.
I agree the only and last superstar they had was a RB I think named Drew Jones, or something like that. It is just a very very well coached team, inplus there line has always been there best positions.

I went to ygnacio valley high we're right behind de la salle next to eachother; they're our neighbors. i'm soo lucky i got to see dls play they're such a powerhouse. They have the national record in streak wins 151, about 5 or 6 national championships and many other trophies. they are or used to be sponsored by nike, under armour and espn. sometimes nfl refs would reff their games. they finally lost against some team up in seattle, they lost at the seattle seahawks stadium in 05 or 06 i think.

Video of the Bellevue vs De La Salle game from 2004 is posted under "nightflight007" - Bellevue broke the 151 game streak, 39-20. A 14 year old soph QB led Bellevue's Wing-T offense. J.R. Hasty (now at UW), rushed 30 times for 271 yards. Bellevue controlled almost every aspect of the game, running at will. The Wolverines never punted and never passed. They scored on their first seven possessions and held the vaunted Spartans scoreless in the second half. 24,987 of us were there.

Congrats. You were better than DLS in 2004, along with many other teams. That was their first down year in over a decade, and you are lucky you scheduled them when you did. DLS lost 3 games and tied 2 that year. They just didnt have the talent, period. Line that same Bellevue team up against any DLS team from 1997-2002 and you lose by 4 TDs.

I'm sure that they ramped up the recruiting efforts after that year. BTW - I am not from Bellevue. And Bellevue HS is a public school. What Bellevue did is much harder for a public school to do, than a private school.

My guess is that you have not been part of a streak - as a player. A streak can make you better or worse than you really are. In High School, my hometown basketball team lost 42 straight. They were better than some of the teams that they lost to, but they lost. The weight of the streak can hurt you, or help you. My guess is that in the 151 games DLS beat a team or two that they should not have.

Morton, that means nothing. Poly also lost to Servite and Dominguez. They were not good that year. The year Bellevue beat De La Salle they werent good either. DLS lost to Clovis West and Mission Viejo that year also. Not to mention they tied Clayton Valley and Palma. Bellevue would have gotten smoked by DLS in the days of the streak. And they would get waxed by DLS this year.

That my friend, we shall never know. I just know that the fans of DLS who were at the game in Seattle, were much more gracious than many who have posted here. If you, or I had been playing for Bellevue, and broken a 151 game winning streak, we would likely feel pretty good about it - and if people kept saying how bad that team with the 151 game streak were, we would not see them as having a great deal of class.

In alabama it goes up to 6A, which is what hoover plays in. My highschool is in hoovers region and one of their rivals, and theyre amazing, that show doesnt do them justice. Last year they beat us 42-8, in 2004 we lost to them 24-0 in the regular season and 17-3 in the semi-finals...closest we've ever come to beating them was in 2002 when we lost 23-22 in the state semis...sad night for mtn brook football...And i think is dls played hoover it would be a great game and decided by less than 1 td

Thats b/c they play st xavier, the number 2 team in the nation. And i wasnt talking about this years hoover, they suck and almost lost in the opening round of the playoffs to florence (they needed a last second FG to win my highschool beat them 21-10). Hoover cheated to get this far and wont make it far into the playoffs this year. Hell, if mountain brook plays them in the semis i believe we will beat them

Brady amack is a good LB. they have good players readyfuels and others. the last star? Terrence Kelly who was murdered before he could play for Oregon. after Maurice Drew, who by the way was ROY in the NFL

you r so stupid. in CA it goes to 4a. so they r playing the best. im from san ramon and last year we had 4 D1 athletes including roy helu who got a scholarship to Nebraska at RB/S and Corbin Louks who got a scholarship to Utah for QB. we got beat pretty bad, it was so hard for me to tackle their players. they are the real deal

im from foothill high and yes de la salle is intense. in the regular season, we averaged like 34 points a game and then when we played dls, we scored none i believe.

in 1998, a lot of the schools in the district basically boycotted playing DLS because noone could beat them. it was a massacre. so because of that DLS went to a "traveling" team and started playing all the other powerhouses in southern cali. dominating everyone. then they started going out of state with the same outcome.

I played against these guys my junior and senior year of high school. We were one of 2 or 3 major powerhouses in our area, but these guys are just in a league of their own, they were absolutely unstoppable.

you must not know how high school football works. there isn't D1. 1A are the smallest schools and it moves up to 2A... 3A... etc. 4A is a pretty big school.

my mistake, im from the east coast and our system is different, jus thought it was the same no matter what state ur in. anyhow ive been to the schools web site and i looked up some of the games theyve played and the final score, the difference in the scores is ridiculous lol they need to either start playing against schools or start playing at a college level lol, october 20 2006 against antioch, the final score was 62 to 0, ive never seen a final score like that ever

DLS is just in a league of their own. they dont rely on superstars, they are what a team should be about. 62-0.. thats not uncommon against them. and yes they are that good. they came out to hawaii. killed them. they went to the east coast. killed them. socal. killed them. etc. my senior year we had the most points against DLS, it was like 60 to 24 or something. they were playing 3rd string the whole game.
