  • i found a whole litter..the mom died and only one baby survived..his eyes were closed and he was smaller then my thumb..ive been feeding him puppy milk for almost 2 weeks now..i tried getting him to lap it up but he will only drink it out of the syringe..when is a good time to start giving him solid foods? and what kind do they eat? also i want to put him back where he came from when he is ready, but ppl are telling me he probably cant survive on his own now.. is this true?

  • I work in a pet shop, and the most difficult part of the job for me is selling the rodents to be fed to other animals. The other day, I noticed that some of the pinky mice had had a chance to age, and were becoming beautiful fancy mice. I admired them for a second and then went back to sweeping. My coworker said something about feeding, and the next thing I knew, there were only 3 remaining. I broke into tears and she promised not to use any more of that litter for feeding.

  • @mewfymarf I miraculously kept working, and desperately wanted to take the remaining 3 home with me. I worked something out by the following day, and went back to buy them. My coworker said she "had" to use one of the 3 for feeding, but I consider myself lucky to have 2 pretty mouse babies. I can't save them all, but I can save two. I thought one was going to die last night, but he pulled through. They were the same size, but that one hasn't grown much compared to his brother. If they're boys.

  • Amazing vocation you have in life and how wonderful for you and the animals too.

I would love to know someone like you and help in some way with nature like this. My respect and admiration goes out to you, what a wonderful caring heart you have, as sweet as the animals your caring for. Thanks for sharing these touching videos, clearly you are the hidden star in them all.x love from mrgtmg x

  • Adorableness...

  • i have a baby mouse whos still pink i had him for two days and was wondering ...when i feed him he pulls his head back alot am i doing something wrong.

  • How big are the when they are weaning? I am caring for a field mouse, she is eating solid foods, she`s extremely friendly, she crawls in my hand and will fall asleep in my pocket if she`s cold, but her poop is yellow, is she ok?

  • We just found a baby mouse and Im afraid its gonna die. I didnt know how to feed it or what kind of milk to feed it. This video helps a lot. I couldnt just throw the little guy outside like my dad told me to do. I find it hard to do something like that and feel I should help the little guy. Hes smaller than the one in this video too. Id say a day old or so.

  • Aw Fatty mouse Eating ! So Cute

  • Holy crap and I thought feeding a newborn kitten was bad! He's so tiny.

  • @LittleSerboLamb I had to make custom super tiny feeding instruments for these guys.

  • @MaryCummins I think it's awesome that you're selfless enough to help someone out that is so small! I just wished more ppl were this caring about other animals other than the obvious, cats and dogs! :)

  • Open my channel for some hamster eating stuff videos :)

  • My husband and I found a baby mouse under our oven. We could hear it crying over the tv. There wasn't any other babies, and no mother anywhere. We left it outside for a while thinking the mother would come get it, but a few hours later, it was still there and it had gotten cold outside. So I brought it in and started looking up how to feed them. It's not interested in eating at all. All I have is baby formula, but it wouldn't eat. its 2am so no way to get mice formula right now. Sigh..

  • @fallinguphill7 The mouse looks just a little bit younger than this one.

  • My female kangaroo rat died and left a 2 weeks old baby... I tried so hard to feed the baby but sadly he couldnt make it...it was hard to see the baby going... the father kangaroo was pretty sad too.

  • My little brother was in 5th grade, when he found a dying field mouse at a neighbor's house, who had sprayed rat poison. He actually ended up bringing the mouse back to life, and we named her Desperaux. We had her for about two years, but towards the end of her life she became extremely distant, and just dyed.

  • @OLQH2 Mice only live 1.5 to 2 years. Sounds like he had a nice life.

  • @MaryCummins I must have had mega mouse then.. because I had one that lived 4 years.. but he was pampered.. slept when he wanted, never disturbed.. got the best food and bottled water.. never know what is coming out of your tap. ^__^

  • aww! this is so cute! It looks like the baby mouse me n my friend were raising that had been orphaned, but it died. :( it was so sad.

  • AWAWWAWAWAWWWWWWW look at his litlle paws......

  • cute

  • Feed them cheese, just a slither and hold the cheese for him.

  • AMAZING!!

  • awwwww

  • I recused some as well after there nest was disturbed feeding them with cotton buds seems to work well.

  • I just found one without its mother!! I don't know how to take care of it!

  • Another GREAT WAY to feed baby mice is to use electrolites mixed with goats milk for the first 24 hours, using a very small fine artist paint brush that you can dip in the milk and the baby mouse will suck the milk off the soft bristles. Be shure to have qtips and warm water handy. Dip the q tip in warm water and rud the baby mouse down before and after feeding to permote gestation.

  • my man found a baby mouse today and eyes open hair and it keeps getting mean and i want to feed it but not sure what..anyone?

  • SO SMALL!!!!!!

  • AWW! I have one that looks a lot like that that I found in my driveway and I'm handfeeding it also :)

  • im actually having an issue with 4 of these types of mice, we were cleaning out our shed and found a total of 7, was 1 dead before hand, 2 died when we moved something and it ended badly, i managed to save the last 4, but i cant get them to eat, i have a nice little home done up for them but they dont seem to care to eat / drink anything, ive tried kitten / puppy milk, and a supplement my vet gave me but the most i can get them to eat is the little bit that gets stuck on their lips

  • My cat thanks you.

  • thanks for posting this it's very helpful! I am trying to save a baby mouse but i know nothing about caring for them!! now I see I've been holding it wrong! hopefully next feeding goes better :)

  • you have done a good deed mien frund. congrats

  • I saved a field mice from a trap about an hour ago. I still hear it squeaking. It whole entire arm area was snapped under the trap. Idk if it will still survive tho.

  • @x0ticShwty well its one week later. what happened to it? is it still alive?

  • @TheHumbleTinkerer When the mice trap people came they found it dead not far from where I saved it :(

  • @x0ticShwty :(

  • How long does it take for their eyes to open I found five today and their eyes are still shut but they have fur what should I feed them

  • very tiny mouse and a fully grown human you could easily crush it but compassion is what makes you go out of your way to help it it nice to see this :)

  • wow it is tiny

  • @trocki80 First of all its vermin which i personal think sounds mean. Second of all mice like most rodents are very misunderstood. How rude of you to say that. There such beautiful, adorable, sweet creatures. Go crawl under a rock before i beat your ass!

  • @P4brains go crawl ur mommas ass?

  • @trocki80 what? no, no go crawl under a rock before i beat ur ass.

  • I think I got 1 in my garden and we got turf laid and I think it's made a home under there.

  • So cute!!!!

  • i found a baby mouse under my dish washer and it has hair but the eyes are still closed. can i still feed her like this? i have kitten milk and she seems to like it but will not eat much at one time, i feed her once ever 2 hours and she lives in shredded tissue with a heating pad. good or not?

  • My cats recently brought home a baby mouse. It has a few scratches, but it seems fine. I was wondering, exactly hwo much do you feed it every few hours?

  • can u give it skim milk instead of yolk mixed with 2% milk

  • Nursing it?! you should be squashing it!!!! Nah, just kidding. cute little guy.

  • Awhh he's a cutie. I am so happy you took care of him.

  • Hi,

i have 3 baby field mice that were orphaned beacuse of my cat and i could really do with some questions being answered by you if that's okay. Should i ask you these questions on here or can i e-mail you and ask?

    Many Thanks.

  • @chelsealoz God, I hate cats

  • @waxengravah Me too,i hate that they kill pretty much everything small enough and mostly just for fun. Unfortunatly i have 4 of the horrible things, all given to me by people who don't want them anymore. My house is full of other peoples unwanted animals or ones i have rescued but i just can't let needy animals be left in a bad place. Little did i know that i would end up having to nurse so many wild animals back to health as a result of my kindness of saving these bloody cats.

  • I have a question. I have seen many people use baby milk, goat milk, dog milk, and kitten milk. Can you use normal cow milk that you buy from the store? If not do you know why you cant?

  • @yoPaigeLaura you can it just cause dirarrea sometimes!

  • Mary - do you still use Esbilac with the new manufacturing method by PetAg? - or have you switched to Fox Valley or something? Very impressive that you kept him alive from pinky stage. how often did you feed him through the night? I'm a rehabber, also.

  • thank you so much for this i just found a baby mouse wandering around whose eyes werent opened either and im really desperate to keep it alive.

  • thats soooo cute!

  • stuart!

  • awwwww cute widdle baby mousey!!

  • AWEEE thats so precious! me and my family were nursing a baby squirrel and i thought that was hard. I cant even imagine feeding that little thing!

  • Yesterday, me and my mom found 4 field mice abandoned by their mother, 3 of them were dead, but one was still hanging in there. They were still hairless and so tiny. Me and my mom decided we would take care of it. We put it in a nice fluffy warm sock. We went to the store to buy it cat milk, and me already had a syringe. But when we fed it, he just slipped away. I miss you Trooper! (As we liked to call him)

  • its so small ^^, how do u get a hold of all these young animals?

    Your vids help a lot

  • okay so i just found a baby mouse, i have no idea how old it is or how to help it live, all i know is that the only options i have are to keep it and try to help it or put it outside. i refuse to put it outside because its too damn cold and i cant put it back where i found it in the house because my parents won't let me. do you know how i can help him/her ?

  • if a baby mouse grows up with a person will it begin to like the person allot?

  • my cat Bobo found closed eyes baby mouse in drain.i gave him human milk.......

  • I just found 4 of them in a box in my house. Their eyes are still closed. I don't know what I should feed them. I'm afraid to put them back because I don't know if the mother will abandon them or eat them if she knows a human has touched them.

  • You should have left them you dickhead, don,t interfere with wild anaimals.

  • Maybe you like them chewing holes in your walls and getting into your food, but I don't. I live in an apartment and they've chewed several holes in the walls...I don't need anymore.

  • Yes I know rats and mice are vermin,I would,nt like them in my house, any way forget the negative comment, its because your an American and I usually get nothing but hatemail from Americans becuase they hate us.

  • I don't hate anybody.

  • I had 5 baby field mice and i fed them every hour with a diabetic infusion site, heated milk. Then i started putting evaporated milk on a piece of bread and they would eat that. I also filled a sock with rice and heated it often since i got them when there eyes were still closed. They all lived and i let them go into the wild. :)

  • Hi, our mum mouse has just died this afternoon, leaving 6 twelve-day old babies. We've just spent hours trying to feed them formula milk with a syringe, but failed dismally. What's the thing you used for yours, and where can you get it from? Don't get what you mean about the sock and the rice?? HELP!!!

  • Okay well what I did was bought evaporated milk at the grocery store and mixed it with water, heated it and put it on bread. Since they are 12 days old they should be able to eat it that way. Just put them on it. With the sock, that's to keep them warm, put uncooked rice into a sock, tie the sock off and put it in the microwave for a few seconds, till its warm, not too hot to burn them. Put them around it so they don't get cold and die. Let me know if you have ANY more questions. Good luck

  • im doing the same thing but they are about 1 month or so.

  • so cute <3

  • It's nice to know that there are such wonderful caring people in the world, I hope the little fella made it okay!

  • thats adorable.

    yay for saving the mouse!

    :D

  • okay, now this is THE cutest thing I have ever seen! how HUGELY SWEET!!!

  • what do u feed them

  • Wow she is so gentle!!!

  • Sorry, my comment was meant to be a response to sssssssssszzz150. I apologize for any confusion.

  • Well, I feel very bad for you. Why? Because your comment makes little sense. I do believe that if you are telling the truth, then you know that mice are a very easy to take care of, and loving pet. They are very commonly found as pets. By the way, your racism and poor grammar is an insult to your own race. I don't know what race you are, and I don't really care. Think next time.

  • thanks for defending us whites. chris

  • wowz... another racist.. we juss got rid of MsLauraBush.. gawsh

  • Wow you had nothing better to do than come make a racist comment on a mouse video?

  • Thanks he got cold and died, I think my cats hurt his hip though, but thanks for the advise next time I will know what to do.

  • My cat just caught two baby mice, they killed one but I got the other, his eyes are open and he can walk, but he don't look like he is old enough to be on his own, I don't know what to feed him as I can't go to any store that have pets supplies for a couple days, what should I do?

  • We found one on the pavement today...it was a baby and looks just like that, it

  • Oh my God, How cute!!!

  • IT'S SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

  • do u feed them actual human milk or 'special' milk for them? jw

  • where do you buy those suringes, cause I found this 2 week injured baby mouse, in my pet mice cage, and it seems to be very skinny

  • you found it in your mouse cage? strange. well i am going use something different. here: empty a food coloring bottle and make sure its clean from coloring. suck up some kitten formula and let them suck =)

  • I tried feeding it, but it seemed to be too week, and his leg was broken so he died. it's really sad, but I already have 12 mice.

  • oh thats to bad that he died. but you have 12 mice?!?! wow i only have one, and 6 rats.

  • I had two mice and they had kids, that's all, I wouldn't spend money to have 12.

  • oh, ya my brothers rat had 6 babies but we sold 2 and 2 died becuase my brother left them somewhere hot on accident.

  • aww poor rat

  • ratS =( 2 died.. but we still have 2 girls living with their mom and another female. =)

  • oh okay, i have two mice. fat one is mcenzy and the tiny one is tammy. i made a video showing them

  • Aw, i have 2 hampsters and a gerbil. I will look at ur vids x

  • thats so damn small is it mice from ur house or what ?? cuz i feed my snake with the white ones, i dont feed it the house ones cuz they are venomous

  • no they are not venomous! people just say that they have diseases but they are clean.

  • dangit!!! I wish I can feed and nurture animals like you. That would be so cool.

  • boa Keep the poor little mouse

  • hi! we just found 4 baby field mice in our front garden! their eyes are still shut and my gardens small. also there are alot of cats around here, should i feed them? i got a cage and stuff or should i release them now? either into my front garden with all the dangers, or i can take them down to a local woodland with lots of fields and such only a few mins away. what should i do??? plz help

  • OH, it's so LITTLE!!!

  • did this mouse on the video live, because we just found baby mice and were doing the same thing and we just wondered if they will survive?

  • Yes. The baby survived. You can see her running bald on a wheel in another video. When she was finally big enough I put mite medicine on her. I was worried it was too strong when she was a baby. She grew a beautiful coat and was released a wild and healthy field mouse. We released her where found in a field in Malibu overlooking the ocean.

  • thank u I will try that!!

  • Thanks for responding, you two. I was out of town. Sometimes it takes a feeding or two for them to get used to the new feeding method.

  • @MaryCummins You know how to tell when they've had enough? because I'm not sure how much a baby should be consuming

  • @deathwolfgirl

OH HELL NO YOU WANT B!TCH !!! HAHAHAHA A

  • @zachamus I'm sorry what?

  • @deathwolfgirl Oh hey sorry, blacked out

  • My cat caught one and I saved it. She is small like a baby, but her eyes are open. When I tyed giveing her water, but she feqused it. I tryed giveing her milk(just normal milk) from a eye droper and she fefused it. What should I do? please help

  • If no puppy milk, try kitten milk. If no kitten milk, try goat's milk warmed. I would first give pedialyte or gatorade warm to hydrate him. No peanut butter. There is a manual in my site.

  • @MaryCummins i live in the USA. do you know wer i can by any of those milks, because i found a baby mouse by my cabin with no mother and idk how old it is and i dont want it to die so if you can please reply to me as fast as you can.

  • We give Esbilac puppy milk. Feed every 45 minutes to an hour. You can go two hours at night. We feed by weight but baby mice weigh only 1-2 grams so just give enough so the belly slightly bulges and poop is firm. thx

  • What a lovely baby field mouse!Wonderful!

    God bless you!

  • i tried to nurse one 2 years ago, but i failed, and i found a family of mice in my tractor todya. the mother and one baby were dead and i found 2 babies. i nursed them for about 8 hrs and i am putitng them in the barn to see if they get adopted. if not, then i dont know what i can do. any tips if it doesn't?

  • i placed them in the barn overnight, and they were adopted!! im really happy

  • If their mom is dead, another mom probably won't adopt them. I would try to nurse them again. As soon as their eyes open they can eat on their own, thx

  • thats cute

    youre very sweet

  • SO DANG CUTE!!! I WANT ONE!! do u still have it?

  • Hahahaa his whiskers are taking over his face

  • you are a kindhearted person i wish i had your patience and compassion. i once rescued a litter of 2 week old kittens after a neighbor's son beat 2 to death. it was an incredible amount of work. but field mice? opposums? SKUNKS!?!?!? bless your heart!

  • My gosh! Such a tiny and delicate creature! You have very steady hands (and a very big heart)! Thanks for sharing. :-)

  • I am in love with that baby mouse <3

  • bless your heart, this video made my day.

  • Great collection of vids. It's been years since i've done any rescue work and i miss it. Now that my animal agressive dog of 11 yrs is gone, perhaps i can take on a new project or two.

Thanks for posting these...they are inspiring! :-)

  • Frightening i meant, too busy looking at those massive wiskas.

  • Very frigtening, so easily can too many bubbles or liquid get in the lungs. poor little thing-needs burpies.

    thats so sweet of you.

  • I think I have some mice under my house......Now I don't know if I want to kill them.

  • love it love it love it

  • You really are a devil boy aren't you?

  • aww, thats a cute fella. look at how big his whiskers are! ^_^

MOST people hate mice. but vids like this and other mousey videos would likely change that ;p

  • Thank you for caring about a poor little mouse.

  • its soooo cuteeeeee

    =)

  • Mine is exactly like yours except I can't feed them, the syringe might be too big, what should i do? Please message ASAP - Thank You

  • I rescued a baby field mouse from a cats mouth the other day and boy could it jump!!!!
