Do you realise that on the basis of losing 2 seconds per day to a cyclist, based on a 5-day week, 47 weeks per year (allowing 5 for holidays), on a working life of 47 years from 18-65, that's almost 6 hours lost to cyclists taking primary through pinch points.
At minimum wage that's about long enough for 2 month's "road tax"
You just stole 2 months road tax money off those nice young lads, no wonder they were a little ticked off at you! ;-)
Pinch points are a real pain in the bum. I think all traffic engineers should be forced to cycle along any roads they've redesigned. That'll open their eyes a bit
Na you're not being too fussy, I suspect most cyclists on CC would do similar. pinch points are a real pain for us, and car drivers sometimes fail to see the danger so the point has to be explained through defensive riding.
I always go into the middle of the lane at pinch points, lucky here in Lancashire they dont try to overtake, you get the odd one yes thats about it.

I think you probably wasted more time working that out :D :P

You don't add in that being 2 seconds late doesn't lose them 2 seconds of pay ;)
And that it can be made up.
And that because they drive, they need to leave much earlier just in case of traffic, so probably arrive to work 5-10 minutes early most days.
I know you are joking, so am I :p
At least when I cycle, I pretty much know howlong it will take (and no longer have to spend 5-10 minutes deicing the car, win).

I believe a traffic engineer once admitted that pinch points are used by them together with cyclists as mobile traffic calming measures.

On my video response i don't take primary, and nearly get forced off the road. They won't understand until they ride a bike them selfs!

Typical really.
Someone asked me for an example, and you posted this one right now, thanks :p
Do you remember whom posted the one where the driver said the cyclists almost made them crash into the concrete?

@drsquirrel0 Glad I can help...and no idea on the other part....maybe ask on CycleChat?

Think that was magnatom.

Magnatom has one where a driver nearly runs into a traffic island
