  • Part 2

All the LDS people must take heed into teaching the none bielevers and that is exactly what you are doing with this video. Thankyou brother for posting this video.

    Keep the faith

  • Thanks for your video I have been a member my whole life and there isn't a more true church then this I am pleased with this video, because your are doing Gods work, and I know that there isn't a better book on the earth then the Book of Mormon, and I know that the Book of Mormon is another Testoment of Chirst, and I know that those who doubt that Joseph was a profit or that Jesus is the Mesiah, those are the the people that need to read this book. Their is a part 2 to this message.

  • @Adria1431 Thank you for your comments and testimony.

  • The Lord in his infinite wisdom knew that by the frailties of mankind and by the wickedness of some men to decieve for gainsake etc, that some of the books of value to scripture would be lost or corrupted over time and so prepared a way for the gospel to be taught, preached and recorded in another location for posterities' sake.

  • ?A question for non-mormons commenting on this video and this gentlemans channel in general?

(By the way I am a mormon and i love the holy bible, esp the book of Matthew) My question to you non-Mormon Christians is" Can you state how many books it is deemed are missing from the current cannon of text that we call the bible, that if we had them they would undoubtedly be part of the cannon we all love so much?"

  • That was nice. It was relaxing. You have a great reading voice too.

  • You ask me, Tolkien wrote way better fantasy literature then Joe Smith did.

  • You mean the book of morons

  • You see, the big problem with this is that Joseph Smith called himself the author, instead of translator, in the 1830 editions.

  • I believe Joseph Smith chose the word MORMON because it is so similar to MORON. He considered his believers MORONS (which he rightfully should). He had about 50 wives didn't he? He was an excellent con artist. May he rot in jahannam

La ilaha il Allah, Muhammad rasoolullah

  • You eyes show mental illness.

  • Why you keep quoting from a false book which has no historical basis whatsoever? Quote from the Bible at least that is insipred and true

  • The Tltle page says Jesus Christ is Eternal God-- The Three Witnesses claimed that the Father, Son and Holy Ghost is One God. The Mormon Baptismal Covenant is to One Trinitarian-like God. This all means that the Book of Mormon declared One God and its Covenants bind the Book of Mormon Believer to viewing and worship of Deity as One Trnitarian-like God. So why do LDS believe in many Gods?-- or Eternal Progression? or that God was a man who become a God-- or men can becomes Gods like Him? REPENT

  • "Lamanites, who are a remnant of the House of Israel..."

In other words, American Indians are really Jews.

You really don't see any conflicts here between your beliefs and reality?

  • That is a conclusion you have drawn, not the LDS church. The Book of Mormon only represents a history of one group of people who traveled to the americas. It even mentions records of a few other groups as well, but certainly is not meant as a record of everyone who traveled to the Americas, during that period of time, and even before. It's a rather large group of land masses (North and South America), after all.

  • I suggest you learn the history of your own church. B. H. Roberts, an early leader and publisher of a comprehensive study of the LDS wrote, "The Hebrew origin of those races in our book is so unequivocally stated and so emphasized that if the said American races could be proven beyond doubt to be of other than Hebrew origin, the claims of The Book of Mormon would be shattered" Given our now knowledge of DNA, I'd say the BOM has been shattered.

  • I do know the history of the church. B. H. Roberts being a leader does not make him infallible, and he was in no way an expert on DNA, neither was he referring to that kind of study. A read through the Book of Mormon, for those that pay attention, records a number of interactions with other groups that came across, in some cases, it was noted where they came from, and others it did not. Additionally, the book is an abridgment, and only covers the travels of one group of people.

  • To add to that, it seems there was certainly a different pool of genetics making up the described darker skinned individuals, which was apparently dominant genetics. Also, the book indicates that the white skinned group were eliminated before Columbus got here, and their genetics with them. Also, the DNA evidence was not nearly as telling as many in the excited anti-mormon culture would like to think.

genetics aside, y no ruins? where r the Jaredite, Nephite & Lamanite ruins in NY, Utah, Mississippi, Mexico?

whole civilizations disappear w/o a trace?

dig in Italy u get Roman ruins, dig in America, no BoM? why?

  • Lastly, if you believe in God, and you pay attention to how he does things, he prefers people to believe based on faith and works, not on hard core evidence. What if they had discovered solid evidence of Hebrew/Jewish DNA in the indians? Given, all the skeptics would have reasoned that it was not real evidence, but I think a lot of people might have converted because they would have seen that as proof, which is really not the right reason to convert.

  • I do want you to understand that with this discussion alone, I am certainly not trying to convert anyone, just showing that the attacks are not legitimate. The Bible is a pretty easy target for attacks as well, but I believe it to be scripture as well.

  • The difference between the Bible and the BOM is that the Bible, theological issues aside, has some verifiable evidence to support its existence; the BOM has none. The whole LDS Church can only exist by constantly denying its past, both recent and historic. It is a faith based on a work of 19th century fiction.

  • You are stating your opinion as fact, which is not the case. But I am not going to argue for days on this, and waste time countering every post you make. I find it interesting so much hate for a church of people who, whether the true church or based on a work of fiction, are often times among the first to arrive to assist during disasters, and have no hate for other churches, and have even been known to raise money to help other churches at times, with no strings attached.

spin, spin uR trying 2 spiritualize fakery

if there were DNA proof it would explode lots of theories, but that would never happen since the BoM is a novel, fiction, a story

funny, but if I met pagan Olmec,Toltec, Maya or Aztec, it would have made an impression on me, if I lived 2 tell about it, enough 2 warn others of the pagan blood-thirsty savages sacrificing prisoners of war, as a prophet moroni, etc.,, should have railed against them

  • Listen to my voice, you are getting very sleepy...LDS white jesus hates black people!

  • I'm sorry you have so much hate in your heart for others.

  • lds hated blacks first, get it yet?

  • No, but it seems you have your mind made up, particularly from you page.

  • Dont try it, Ive read it one of the LDS bibles!

  • I'm not sure what you said there, but are you aware that there are many black LDS members?

  • Have you ever done any research on Joseph Smith's life? I encourage you to investigate more about his life, so that you can see the influence of freemasonry & the importance that has on your faith. I'd like to hear your opinions on that.

  • ", so that you can see the influence of freemasonry"

free masonry didn't come into his life until 1842.

I suggest you do some research and learn to put down the ANTImormon propaganda and think for yourself!

  • You totally lost me, its like listening to shakespeare or ye old english. They need to make a modern version thats easy to understand.

  • "Hid up unto the Lord?" This makes no sense. The Book of Mormon is transparently a product of the 19th century. The writing is horrifically bad, just like everything Smith dictated.

I love Ether - some of the worst nonsense ever. "Tight, like unto a dish... the length of a tree"... Seriously - it's laughable.

Doesn't it make you wonder a bit at all the defensive posturing that permeates this ridiculous book? Why so much "And it came to pass..." It's silly.

    Dare to scrutinize.

  • At least Ryan has the guts to say what he believes. I couldn't help but notice you avoided any commentary on your beliefs concerning deity. I have no doubt that God would look more favorably on one who has courage, like Ryan, than some spineless critic. Since have such a brilliantly discerning mind, perhaps you could point us all in the right direction toward heaven.

  • Take your left index finger and place it against your left temple. That's the direction towards heaven. Apply your brain. More specifically, apply skepticism and scientific method.

  • Are you allowed to reorder your videos so we can watch them in order you present? It's hard to tell until you get to the actual books which order one should follow in viewing. Thanks.

  • Thanks for the question. This video series includes the preliminary material in the order it is presented in the current (1981) edition of the Book of Mormon. The Title Page is normally put first, and has been included in every edition of the Book of Mormon (along with the testimonies of witnesses). The Title Page actually comes from the plates from which the Book of Mormon was translated. Other material (such as the introduction, prepared for the 1981 edition) were included later.
