It was a strange band in the early eighties. At the same time before their time and 70's glam...

  • Re pankeke ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • well guess who were first.. HANOI ROCKS!

  • its like punk rock meets blues meets sleaze meets awesome

  • I've got the entire concert on Video somewhere. The whole thing ROCKS!!

  • I agree Deadsurfr. However, I know exactly where my copy is. Best band ever ya know!

  • Me too. Even if and when I transfer all my VHS tapes to DVD you can be sure I will keep the VHS version of "All Those Wasted Years" ..

  • AWESOME.

  • I bought this on a dvd at yellow icebreaker this month, NICE VID.

  • i dont think that this is glamrock, all said that this is glam, cause of Michael´s style. actually they "developed" their own style. no-one doesn´t know anything about that kind of rock and where this kind of rock belong to. they "invented a new style for the rock" which is called sleaze rock, and guns´n´roses use that style. sleazerock is harder than glam, more melodic, it isn´t so "kindness" than glam, you can see that from gnr, they carry some kind of angry, but it is still a melodic band

  • there Eroupes Aerosmith

  • wrong. hanoi rocks is the glamrock of the 80's, NOT sleazerock. they were however the main influence on the sleazerock look. the one bad that "created" sleazerock was motley crue, since they mixed heavy metal, punkrock and glam in a really rough way. sleaze isn't just about the looks you now, more about the attitude. but motley, guns n roses, ratt, poison or what fucking ever wouldn't look (or even exist) if it wasn't for hanoi rocks.

  • um.. was supposed to reply to "DisQ1"s comment.

  • true hanoir is one of the greatest bands ever many big bands has muthc influence from them, and also you can say in that way hanoir rocks conected 70:s glam rock ( like new york dolls ) with the sleaze and glam of the 80:s but motley crue was also a band that did exactly like hanoi rocks they took it in another direction. but still hanoi and motley is very simelar since they are based on the glam scene of the 70:s just that hanoi got more punk n' blues while motley have more metal.

  • do you try to say that hanoi doesnt have attitude? lol

  • wow!

  • pls retrieve back these bands!!! pls!!!!

  • I think this music comming back right now, but in a another verision, Sleaze. They play much more heavyer but they get insperation from glam-bands from the 80's.

  • Yeah but sleaze already existed in the 80's. Guns N' Roses, L.A. Guns, Faster Pussycat, Shotgun Messiah ect. But this is like some kind of New Wave O' Swedish Sleaze (it's most swedish bands) I live in sweden and in my town almost everyone of my friends looks like Michael Monroe :) I love Hanoi Rocks gonna se them twice in sweden this summer!

  • wow your lucky. id love it if all my guy friends looked like michael monroe!

  • I am so thankful that i saw Hanoi Rocks back in the ´80s twice. First with Gyp Casino and then with Razzle on drums. The opening tracks on the second show were, just like in this video, "Pipeline" and "Oriental Beat".

  • Man, I am so envious of you.

  • RIP RAZZLE! I LOVE YOU!

  • anyone know if this is ever gonna come out on dvd? one of the best shows ever.
